The women staff here is ridiculous! So rude and inconsiderate, lack of interpersonal communication skills and poor customer service. I understand they have a lot of patients they deal with on a daily basis, but it is wrong to make people feel like they are a dollar sign. I believe two out of five of the nurses I interacted with were truly genuine and passionate about their career choice! Ivy was very understanding and kind. She explained things with transparency and poise. Other nurses, I encountered were hourly employees. One made the comment, "ughh I need a drink." That's unprofessional and concerning especially when it's barely 1pm, and you choose to work at a women's clinic. Majority, if not ALL, of patients are pregnant, and hormonal. So, that is why it is even more important to have great interpersonal communication skills, be sympathetic, understanding and passionate! I regret wasting time and taking off of work to experience such an overwhelmingly stressful situation at this establishment. Honestly, there is nothing bad to say about this place. My overall experience was great. They got me in and out for both my consultation and procedure. Not to mention they also have financial assistance (which is great for women that are in desperate need of assistance). I was more on the anxious side since it was my first time, but all the nurses and workers there made me feel comfortable. They took good care of me after my procedure and got me away from the crazy protestors when they escorted me to my car. My experience was overall good. I scheduled my appointment over the phone and went with a friend. I found out I was 5 to 6 weeks with no heartbeat. After, the nurse told me I was able to schedule my second appointment. They are very organized and they make you feel welcomed. During the procedure the nurse held my hand the whole time. First and foremost, these people work an inconceivably difficult job with a lot of emotional and philosophical turmoil and stress and pressures. The fact they can find a way to keep going to work for however long they decide to work in this lane, whether to help women and couples and families during a difficult time or decision, regardless of political or religious opinions, or whether they go to work cause "it's just a job" and there are bills to pay, deserves - in my opinion - respect. Coming to Houston's women's clinic was never a thought in my head, I was so nervous and un easy. However, the doctor, nurses and staff are all so sweet and answer all your questions, so I don't see how there can be negative reviews. Yes the wait times are long at times, they're SO busy, but they make sure you feel comfortable in your decision. I had to have 3 visits due to how far along I was, my final visit was quick and painless, although I could barely walk and was so out of it due to the drugs and sedation. I originally set my appt for Saturday but after reading reviews about that being their busiest day that tended to draw a crowd of protesters, I decided to call back a few days later to move it to Monday. When I arrived for my appt at 1:15pm there were no protesters but the parking lot was completely full. My husband dropped me off at the front. Walking inside was definitely nerve wracking and sad. It was pretty crowded but there were still open seats. They asked if it was my 1st or 2nd appointment and took my ID. They handed me a clipboard with tons of paperwork to fill out and a number that they said I would be called by. I filled out the papers and was called back at around 3pm. They call 3-5 numbers at a time (be sure to listen closely as they call from behind the desk and it's kind of hard to hear). Once they called us back we waited in another hallway where they collected our first payment ($100) and waited to go into the ultrasound room. This was a pretty quick process (~15 mins of waiting total, and the ultrasound took less than 5 minutes and they do not make you look if you don't want to). After that, they sent me around to another hall to wait (~10 mins) for them to take my vitals, and ask which method of abortion I wanted. I told her I was opting for the in-clinic procedure. She gave me a piece of paper with pre-procedure instructions and told me to wait back in my car for the counselor to call me. I assumed that I'd be speaking with the counselor in person, but I didn't mind. My husband was about 15 mins away so I called him to come back so that I could wait with him. The counselor ended up calling me before he even made it back. She asked a few questions and explained what would happen during the procedure. She then told me to head back inside the clinic to wait for them to schedule my second appt and to speak with the doctor. By this time, the waiting room was completely empty so I'm assuming they stop taking appointments at around 3pm since they close at 5pm. They called me back to the second hallway where a lady at the desk told me the next opening they have for my procedure was on Friday. My heart instantly sank because I was traveling back to my city that day so that was impossible for me to make. I explained the situation to her and she was able to get me an appointment for Wednesday instead. I was super grateful. After that I went into the dr's office where he let me know that since I was so early in my pregnancy (6 weeks) and my chart had no red flags, the procedure and recovery would be very simple and quick. I left feeling extremely relieved and grateful. the entire appointment took just under 3 hours. I arrived for my Wednesday appt at 11:30am and there were 2 losers protesting outside of the gates. The attendant gave my husband a slip to fill out to confirm that he would be driving me home since I was going to be sedated. the waiting room this day was almost completely empty (only 5 women including me). Since it was my 2nd appt they let me know that they would be calling me by name; they ended up calling me by my last name but they called other girls by their first name. I'm assuming they used my last since my first name is usually difficult for people to pronounce. After waiting for less than 10 mins, they called me back where they collected the second payment ($500). After that, they gave me a series of pills (1 valium for anxiety, 1 naproxen for pain, 2 antibiotics, 4 cytotec pills which softens the uterus and preps it for your procedure, 1 phenergan for nausea, 1 immodium to prevent diarrhea) and had me wait in the dim room to get drowsy. After waiting about 10 mins there, a really sweet nurse came to put a line in my arm so that they could administer the sedation meds during the procedure. I went back to the dim waiting room for maybe 30 mins where I started to get super sleepy. Finally, another nurse came to get me for my procedure. She told me undress from the waist down. I let the nurse know that I had already started bleeding so she told me keep my underwear on until I laid down and she would help me get them off. I remember taking off my pants and putting my feet in the stirrups but remember absolutely nothing beyond that. I woke up in bed at home a few hours later with my husband sitting next to me. Overall I had a pleasant experience at HWC. I was definitely nervous not knowing what to expect, but I honestly felt like everything went as smoothly as it possibly could have. I do think that scheduling maybe should be a bit more organized considering I set my appointment for Monday and although they didn't let me schedule the second appointment over the phone, the girl on the said I could "definitely" get in on Wednesday for my second appointment. Even though I was ultimately able to get in when I needed to, it was a little bit annoying having to go back and fourth and give a sob story as to why I couldn't come in Friday. No one wants to make this decision. And for some people - it is a necessity. If you have a miscarriage and need a D&C done, this type of establishment is still where you may need to go. Regardless, I found myself at Houston Women's and was distraught. Yes, the place is packed. Yes, sometimes it's wall to wall. But what I appreciated most of all was the care and concern I received from all employees here - from the security guard to the doctor himself. I found myself near or in tears several times. No one treated me as if I was some loser or bad person. It was more appreciated than they could ever know. It's two day process. Process one included getting blood work done and an ultrasound. The ultrasound was the worst as it makes it "real". But you can choose to not view it. After speaking with a counselor privately about any concerns you may have, you then wait to talk to the doctor himself. This was much appreciated. He was kind and wanted to remind me that because of my age (early 30's), that my fertility will decline naturally so having this child may be my last chance at motherhood. I told him that I understood but already have a son. We scheduled my appointment for the following day at 8:30. I got there early at about 8:05 and was called back early. I waited with other women for about 20 minutes but was given several pills. About four anti-anxiety pills(two each of two different kinds) to make me more relaxed and drowsy, a pill to soften my cervix and to make my uterus contract as well as anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea pills. I was then walked to a darkened room with about 5 other women who had clearly had their pills and were feeling the effects. We all began talking and this eased me as well. All were nervous. Some had been through this before and others were new to this as I was. We all were feeling loopy from the drugs. The pill that effected my cervix and uterus caused some cramping, but not worse than period cramps. And in about 30 minutes, (this gave enough time for the medications to work) we started being called into the procedure room. I was understandably nervous. I was asked to undress from the waist down and to put a gown over my bottom half. The nurse was very patient and kind and gave me an IV of more medication that made me loopier. As I stared at the ceiling, it clearly began to take effect and I honestly can't recall if I was awake or not. I don't remember hearing the doctor come in. I can recall hearing a sound but I don't recall hearing voices until I was asked to sit up. I asked if it was over already. The nurse smiled and assured me that it was. After receiving help to put my clothes on, I was brought to the recovery room where more women were in leather recliners. I remembered them from the room after we had taken our medications. We held short small talk about how "well" it went. Some were upset from the emotional part of it. I passed out a couple of times after drinking the Sprite that they offered me, (I declined other beverages and crackers). Then I was told that I could go to the bathroom and was then walked out to the SUV at the side door where my mother was waiting for me. This was hard. I've always been pro-life and its easy to say you feel that way until you find yourself in an awful situation. But I can honestly say that the doctor and staff at Houston Women's were compassionate, helpful and never once treated me as if I was some scum or loose Jezebel just wanting to get rid of my unwanted child. I'm so grateful to the staff for making this horrible situation more bearable. I will never forget them for that. read more

Tough Decision very emotional knowing I was 6 weeks I made my appointment on a Wednesday at 11 was out by 12:30 everyone was very understanding and nice I chose the Surgical The day of I was nervous they give you a few medications a pad to put on & have you sit in a dark room with ladies getting the same thing done and until the medication hits you which was pretty quick! I was able to hold conversations with the other ladies which made it seem better. After they call your name I went to the room I undressed remember the Iv getting inserted and I was sleep I woke up in a chair and a very nice nurse I wish I knew her name but she was sweet! My first visit to the clinic was great! People at front desk were super friendly! It's a little awkward in the waiting area as it's super quiet but who wants to talk at a time like this lol. Nurses and the Dr were super friendly too I had the procedure done they give all that you need to be medicated and it goes by super fast! They take care of you after everything is done then hand you off to your person that picks up. So glad I came here! Best experience ever for my first visit. First thing , my abortion was back in December 2, 2018 and found out i was pregnant Thanksgiving 2018. My experience was easy ( physically). From what i can remember it is understandably an awkward environment, i know i never thought I'd be getting an abortion, but the doctor and the "counselor"they let you see on your first exam were amazing. The nurses scared the crap out of me though and all of them ( i talked to 3) gave conflicting results/information, but i think my experience i was just lucky. I opted for the pill i had no pain or heavy bleeding passed the pregnancy in maybe 20-30 minutes after taking the abortion pill. I had painful cramps the day after but it was similar to my periods and plenty of pain meds. You'll probably bleed for a month or two ( i did, but had different flows) That's really all i Can remember. This place was amazing. Not gonna lie they're pretty busy but don't let the fullness of their waiting room fool you. They're super fast about getting you back for the first appointment and are really sweet about everything. I had my second visit today and I couldn't have asked for better treatment I don't remember anything (which I'm glad) and I was so worried and anxious and they were so patient with me it made the biggest difference. Dr. Rosenfeld is super nice and very professional and makes you feel better about whichever way you decide. The counselors are also great they answered any and all of my questions without any feeling of being annoyed or aggravated . I've been here twice. My first time was a great experience. Absolutely nothing negative to say at all. My second time..not so much. Everything was fine up until I got my medication. The Valium I was given knocked me out cold. With that I was unable to complete dissolve the medication that was placed inside my cheeks. It instead caked up in my mouth. I was brought back to the room and the nurse then tired to put my IV in. I've never had someone dig in my arm like that before. It was absolutely horrible. I was 'high' you could say on the Valium and IV but I definitely was not sedated. When everything started I kept telling them I was not sedated and I could feel it all.I felt like my cerxiv was forced open (I believe it was due to my medicine not being fully ingested) I continued to say that throughout the whole process. By the time I got home I had a bruise on my leg from being held down. I'm glad I have access to safe and legal abortions but the nurses HAVE to do a better job at checking on the woman to make sure all of our medicine has been ingested. read more

Let me start by saying F THE NEW TEXAS LAW!!!! Now, with that said, I'm so grateful for this place. I keep track of my cycles thru an app called Clu, which I recommend every woman should do especially now, and when I saw I was 5 days late I took a test. Positive. It was a Saturday. I immediately called & made an appointment for Monday. 8:30 am. Woman who answered the phone was nice, she explained the new law and explained I may be at the 5 week mark. She was informative, kind, yet firm. Got there at 8 am because I knew parking would be crazy but I got a spot. Was there about 2 hours total. They ran a pregnancy test and Ultrasound . It didn't show anything yet so they ran labwork. They had me go to my car to wait for the counselor to call me. Counselor went over the options, I chose surgical. Got a call to come back inside for scheduling. Next day 9:30 am I came for procedure. They did another ultrasound and saw the baby. Said I was about 4 weeks and no heartbeat yet. I got to proceed. You can decline any medications you do not want and since I am a recovering opioid addict I declined the Tylenol 3 and IV pain meds. But you can opt for them and I'm sure you'd feel absolutely nothing. The procedure I did with only IV Valium, no pain meds. It was so fast, under 1 minute. The pain was maybe a 3/10 honestly. The nurse held my hand the whole time and told me I was doing great! It was so fast and painless. They had me in recovery as I called my uber. A nice staff member walked me to my car. 10/10 would recommend! Now, the only sucky part of this place is watching the women leave crying...not because of the procedure, but because they are too far along to have it. Whatever you do , DO NOT COME HERE!!! it is called the "HELL HOLE" For a good reason. Coming here for my first abortion had me DEATHLY afraid of abortions AFTER coming here and experiencing what I experienced. My Second abortion I went somewhere completely else and everything went smooth and was a slice of pie compared to coming here to Houston's women's clinic , they dope u up with meds and line u up like your Cattle, the preMed they gave me they DID NOT TELL ME it would cause MAJOR BLEEDING and MAJOR cramping , 10 minutes later I was in the worst pain I have ever felt in my life , screaming and crying , and the nurse told me to "be quite " . Later I found out that the pill they gave me they shouldn't be giving out it kills the fetus for the doctor and makes the doctors job 10 times more easier when he goes in to do the surgical procedure. After I was done with the procedure I was still in Major screaming BLEEDING crying pain and they RUSHED me out so fast . My SECOND procedure to the NEW place I went was very smooth , NO PRE MEDS full anesthesia, and no pain . NOTHING compared to this place . The worst experience ever. I've had two abortions and the first was done at planned parenthood (best, polite, comfortable and patient experience in my life). I had planned to go to planned parenthood the second time but the BD was complaining about the wait time being 3 weeks before we could even get in to a first appointment due to covid i guess. I soon grew impatient too and wanted to get the survey over so that's why we choice houston women's clinic but that was the worse decision i could have made. They treat you like just another number, not a human being going through a very sensitive time. They don't realize how hard this choice is to make and the fact that all the staff were rude and rushed really pissed me off so never again will i return or advice anyone to go here. It's clear they are just there for the money. Being sedated on IV and pills i was walking slowly and try to gain awareness after but they rushed me out the clinic after raising their voices calling people name. Not to mentioned yelled at my driver at how they were not where they was suppose to be when clearly my boyfriend was parked where the nice lady outside told him to park. The only nice person in the place was the volunteer Caucasian lady outside that made sure we knew about my driver information and what to expect for pickup. She told me there was shade on a bench futher away from the entrance since they're was no seating in the lobby. Literally 20 women in the lobby no more seats. So there was girls outside sitting in heat. Truly this was just the worst experience ever for someone going through a difficult time. If they take this comment down it's because they know it's true. But if they don't take it down i hope all women considering going to this place save their money and go to planned parenthood they are so much nicer and patient with you. They treat you like a human being that has sensitive emotions about this choice your making in life. They are very patient with you and polite. Go to planned parenthood instead please! read more

Pleasant experience!! The ladies at the front were very sweet & professional during both my first & second visit. I didn't feel rushed or anything. During my second visit I was really nervous but the nurses made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. They informed me on each med and what it will do. After I went to the dark room with the other ladies.. I instantly fell asleep. I was awakened by the nurse (can't remember her name) who was really nice as she helped me get to the procedure room & out my clothes cause I could barely stand. Apparently the meds had me completely out of it lol (I don't usually take medicine so any form of strong medication makes me feel funny). Anyhow, I didn't feel any pain tbh. But I bled heavily. I don't remember much from my procedure after the nurse helped me. All I remember is waking up at home. My mom told me that I was really out of it. My mom & the nurse carried me out which I thought was really sweet on the nurses behalf. Anyways I was up & moving around the next day. Also I think it's really awesome that they prescribe birth control pills and pain meds to help with cramping or any form of pain. Overall I just want to say I'd recommend this clinic to anyone thinking about an abortion because they make you feel welcomed & nonjudgmental. :) read more

I have very mixed feelings about my experience at this clinic. The nurses and staff were overall extremely warm and caring, especially the ones in the front and those who took my vitals and gave me my medication. On the other hand, during my first appointment, I was called by a number for the entire time. I understand the privacy issues that this method is trying to address, but it felt cold and impersonal. I was very upset, as, like with most women, making this decision was extremely difficult for me. Being called by a number did not help. When I came back for my second appointment, I was called by my name, which was an improvement. I only waited about 20 minutes before being called to the back where a nurse pricked my finger to check my RH, took my blood pressure, and administered medication for pain, nausea, constipation, and to soften my cervix. I made it very clear during both appointments that I suffer from anxiety and preferred IV sedation. I was assured that I would be put into a twilight state, which is what I expected. When the time came for me the have the procedure done, suddenly everything was rushed. I had worn a dress, and was instructed to just take off my panties and pull up the dress above my waist. I was then instructed to lay on the table with my legs in stirrups. A nurse put an IV in my arm and told me that there would be a sting. Unfortunately, there was not a sting. Instead a cramp coursed up my arm and I FELT ABSOLUTELY NO SEDATION. I told the nurse this, but she ignored me. The doctor had come in at some point during this time and he didn't even greet me. Even though I said several times that I was not sedated, the doctor went ahead with the procedure. It was extremely painful and I was in excruciating pain afterwards. I was cleaned up and led to the recovery room, where all of the other women were sleeping. Instead of resting, I was writhing in pain, due to having not been sedated AT ALL. I was not offered anything to eat or drink - apparently Sprite and crackers are the norm. Though I was moaning and writhing in pain, the nurses barely paid attention to me, and instead maintained a diatribe about the protestors outside. They were more involved in their conversation than checking in on a patient in obvious distress. After a while, a nurse finally came over and asked me what was wrong. I told her that the sedation did not work and that I was in a lot of pain. She then gave me another pain pill, which of course didn't kick in until after I'd already returned home. They went ahead and called my boyfriend to come and get me, as I clearly was not sleeping, so all in all, I was out of the clinic within about 20 minutes of having the procedure. The pain was unbearable all the way home (about a 15 minute ride) - each pothole was like a stab to my uterus. I believe that the pain management and attitude toward me and my concerns at this clinic on this particular day were negligent. I cannot speak for the clinic as a whole, but my experience was, from the procedure on, truly horrible. Though I am happy that this clinic exists and that I have access to abortion services in my city, I do believe that the staff and the doctor need to take more care with their patients. At the least, make sure that the patient is sedated before beginning the procedure and maybe even greet the patient before sticking a tube into her uterus to vacuum out the pregnancy. The procedure is invasive enough as it is without feeling like you are being manhandled and rushed to the next step to make room for the next woman. read more

Great staff, great clinic and excellent service. I felt at ease and well informed about my decision. Not scared at all. Very clean facility with a small waiting room but they move very fast and efficiently. My one and only dislike...which isn't there fault at but I think should be greatly enforced is the no kids thing. Understandably, it was child with a family that was asked to leave the waiting room(as they have stated before no kids allowed) the family and child moved to outside right in front of the clinic. Playing in front of the door and running into people as they entered and exited the clinic. The parking lot security did remove them or even try to tell them to go along side of the building instead. STAY FAR AWAY!!!! This horrible clinic left me with an INCOMPLETE ABORTION 6 weeks after I had to have EMERGENCY SURGERY! All the reviews about the staff being unprofessional are accurate but what can you expect in a place like this! Came to this clinic 11/11/19 and chose the "abortion pill" route they explained to me the process and told me there was a possibility of having to take a SECOND DOSE of pills if the abortion had failed,I felt comfortable they told me what to expect, I took the pills and assumed I passed the pregnancy....went to my 2 week follow up appointment where these people LIED TO MY FACE and told me I was NOT pregnant and that the pill was successful.... WOW we're they wrong over a month later I was at work when I started getting excruciating pain heavy bleeding large clotting and I knew something wasn't right, I went to my obgyn immediately and she ran lots of tests and said I was still pregnant and rushed me into surgery because she feared for my life and very nervous about infection! Needless to say this process ended up being a HUGE 2 MONTH ORDEAL all because of this clinic not being professional and not doing they're job, once you pay them the $500 they could care less about your health or what happens to you they just want your money! Your much better off visiting plan parenthood! Don't risk your life here! Also all these responses from the clinic saying "we have no record" or "must have been a different clinic" is a total load of BS these people know there running a shady business! read more

The lady over the phone was very sweet and answered all my questions with patience. I had to make two appointments by law they have to. The first visit included consoling and ultra sound. The visit for the first one was 50$ id is required. The second visit I was 6 week so the costs was 500$ they gave me about 10 different kind of pills and send me a in room with all kind of different woman. Waiting to feel the medication then they place pills inside your vagina so u can dilate then after a few min they call u in for the surgery. The last thing I remembered was them getting me Sedated. Then I was half in a daze. Finally I woke up in my room and had to throw up and went to back to sleep. My appointment was at 10:30 am left the clinic at 2pm and woke up from my bed at 3am I feel fine just a lot of blood I wish everyone the best for your surgery. It's very nerve wrecking and scared but u will be fine I promise. read more

took someone i care for very much this morning. i am a rn that works in a surgical department. i sympathize for the staff here, with all the politics they are overwhelmed. state of texas for you. this is still no excuse for the medical error they made with her. the staff failed to id the patient. they never ask her to state her first and last name or her date of birth. anyone in healthcare will tell you that this is a very essential precautionary measure to ensure patient safety! this was her first visit (scary enough). they go on to give her valium via iv(which was not supposed to happen til her second visit). the nurse initiating the iv should've caught this. she goes on to tell me that the procedure would've started if she had not asked why they are moving so fast with her abortion procedure when she only expected a consultation that day. she then explains to me that there was another patient with the same first name but similar last name. they had mistaken her for the other patient. this could've been a major ordeal, possible law suit. my friend was kind enough to forgive them. if i didn't drive her there today, she was still be under observation waiting for the anesthesia to wear off. this is unacceptable practice. the staff needs retraining! i hope dr. rosenfeld sees this complaint and does something about this. i'm pro-choice, love the courage the people and staff here have to continue their practice under all this pressure. it's just that not identifying the correct patient is unacceptable in any circumstance in healthcare! retrain the staff! read more

i have been here twice.. once for a surgical abortion and one for the abortion pill when you come to your first appt they are so nice and friendly, they really makes you feel very comfortable...but when i returned for the abortion its was the worsttttttt!!! they rushed me in for starters then after giving me the medication to sedate me i was still very much up and aware! like i seen everything happening and heard everything it wasn't until blood started running up my back because the doctor had pushed me so far up and slid me back that's they then gave me the iv to sedate me further but at this point the abortion was almost over so it was pointlessly just knocked me so far out they had to get me dress (change me into some unknown shirt) and wheel me to the car...then a month later i started bleeding! and bleeding bad so i went to my obgyn to find out i still had a piece of the baby in my uterus... then for my second abortion i opted for the pill because of all the complications from the first one it was the safer option for my body..i was going to another abortion clinic but they wouldn't give me the pill till my iron levels were right but i was running out of time so i went to the houston's women's and with no question they took my money and went through the process and i was given the pill...about 24 hours later i was laying on the bathroom floor crying my eyes out in sooooooooo much painnnnnn and bleeding so much i just had to sit on the toilet for hourssssss this went on for 6 days! something just wasn't right it was the most traumatizing thing i have ever went through from the pain to the things i saw in the toilet (it was horrible i seen veins, tiny organs or limbs idk and more) so on day 7 i contact the previous clinic to find out once again houston women's had did me dirty! with my iron and another complication i had going on the doctors informed i was supposed to be issued more/different take home medication and i now have and infection...great! i recommend don't go here even if it's you LAST option it's so bad!! even if it's your last option your better off just having the baby what you will go through here is not worth it at all! they just want you to swipe your card and open your legs! read more

What an experience!! Besides the internal conflicts, once your decision has been made this facility is the BEST. They give oral cytotec, Tylenol 3, phenergan, lomotil, & Valium and u r led to a waiting area for meds to start working. I can honestly say I don't remember the procedure due to the IV Valium and stadol. I can't even remember meeting the Dr. I arrived 30 min before the clinic opened for my 2nd visit and was back home in 3 hours. Very friendly staff. Expect a lot of women to be there. read more

I LOVED this place! Super nice security in the parking lot , nice facility, AMAZINGLY sweet and caring staff. I just loved everything about it. They help educate you on you decision, explains the process and constantly make sure that you want to go through your decision. They don't make you feel pressured into doing it at all. I wanted to share my experience because this was an experience of a lifetime. This was my first time in this situation, I was extremely scared and nervous. My anxiety wasn't too bad because ik all the women there was in the same boat as me. The place was full with women. I was like wow this can't be real. When I first considered having an abortion the pill was my first choice. I was pretty stern with that choice until, I got in the office and started talking to other women about which route they were taking. At that point I was a little undecided which started to make this situation worst for me. I went into the consultation room and was consuled on both. I was still undecided but had a few days to think until my 2nd appointment. I didn't want the procedure because the thought of it being removed made me really feel bad. I rathered a private experience to myself. So when I made it to my second appointment I went with the pill. I'm happy I did! First I had to take one pill in office in front of the doctor which stops the pregnancy. Then the next day 24hrs later place 2 pills for nausea under my tongue, 5mins later take a pill for diarrhea, 5mins after that take a pain pill. Then wait 30 mins to place 4 pills in your mouth to start the abortion process (cramping begins) take the strongest pain pain they give you. 3 hrs later place the other 4 pills in your mouth. Take another pain pill. After the 2nd pain pill I went to sleep. Woke up 4hrs later went to use the restroom, a little blood started to drip, I did one push and a little sack of blood came out. It was over! Still little to no bleeding and I feel 100% myself again. The pill is the best choice my opinion but it seems like they try to push you more towards the procedure for whatever reason. But I'm glad I followed my first mind. I was a little under 7 weeks. If you want something more private go with the pill just take the pain meds and you'll be fine I promise. It was just last night and I'm not in any pain and I'm back to my normal routine as if nothing happen. Good luck with your decision. read more

Of course no one wants to make this decision but if you do this place is where you want to go. The staff is so nice. I hate being called sweety and honey by girls but when they did it it was comforting and what i needed to hear to feel human. Its a two day process. The first day you pay 80 and they do an ultrasound and take your vitals and tell you step by step what will happen during the procedure. They were not judgemental at all. They only gave you honest medical information. Even the only patients are sweet. The second visit you take a variety of pills including valume. After a bit they call you in the room and start the procedure. They start the iv and it will knock you out. I barely remember seeing the doctor and i felt no pain. I promise. It was like 30 seconds and it was over. The nurses held my hand the whole time. Then they put you in a recliner and give you crackers and wait for your ride home. They help you to your car and thats it. This part cost 400. I was so scared but the whole staff was absolutely wonderful. Only you know what is best for you. And this is the place to go. read more

I yelled out in pain when a needle was inserted into my birth canal during an IUD insertion. Dr. Rosenfeld and his assisting nurse raised their voice to me and made it very clear that crying out in pain, something very natural, was unexceptable and I was told not to do it again because of other patients in the waiting room who were scheduled for abortions. He was very cold, never made eye contact and left the room mumbling the steps I should take in the coming weeks. He was more concerned with me scaring other patients and had little concern for me or my pain. With the exception of a few nurses this place isn't going to treat you like an individual or with very much compassion. You are cattle here. Come in, pay your fee, get your abortion AND don't you dare scream out in pain. I think this Dr. has lost his compassion for the individual and their personal experience. A "hello", a handshake or even a smile works wonders for women who are scared & nervous. And if you don't want women screaming out in pain then you should politely let it be known. Also, it's not the patients' responsibility to reassure other patients of their decisions. If a scream inspires someone to leave and change their mind it most definitely is not my fault or yours. Treat your patients with compassion, Sir. We are individuals and not objects or robots and we are not sitting on a makeshift line waiting for our turn to be examined.
