I've had the pleasure of having Dr. Nguyen and she's caring, personable, knowledgeable and always communicative! She completes my routine PAP test, and always makes me feel comfortable. I went in to see Dr Swanson everything went well but a few weeks after being prescribed topical testosterone & progesterone I started to bleed so bad I had to go to the ER. I was constantly calling the office to find out what I could do and I would never receive a call back & when I called the 4th time I was given basic information. If you're looking for a place for preventative care, Preferred Gynecology is a great choice! I didn't see the MD since I don't have any standing issues, so Michelle (the NP, nurse practitioner) saw me for a routine PAP test. She was friendly in person, and the visit was a breeze. Who knew warming the jelly and speculum could make such a big difference? (It does!) You can also ask to do your annual blood work and get it drawn in the same building (LabCorp)! I brought in a wellness form from work for specific labs, and Michelle sent it to my work place as well as called me a little later to explain my results with me. Not only is she patient and kind, Michelle is responsible too-- love it! :D Having the lab in the same building and the easy/free parking were big pluses! Definitely coming here for my next screening and annual labs~~ The only downside is their online system is not so easy to use and a bit janky. read more

Came here for my annual women's check up. Dr. Michelle was such a pleasure. She explained every step and made sure I felt comfortable. She has great bedside manners. Overall, great experience from the front office to the doctor. Temperature is checked upon arrival and you need to fill out a card of any symptoms you may have/not have associated with COVID. I got lost looking for the building ,but you enter the garage to the left of the glass building, park on the 5th floor(roof top), take the elevator down to the 1st floor, walk over to the glass building and then take the elevator to the 7th floor. Firstly, the search was for Holistic Gynecology and this office appeared. I do not think this falls in a holistic category so couldn't help myself to share my experience. My experience was far from holistic and will never return to this office. My first visit with the Dr. Swanson went well. My annual exam and routine blood work were normal and billed normally to my insurance. However, a year later things took a 180. These visits were all routine.. I never once mentioned an issues bc I don't have any! Which the services billed for where for issue specific. After the same exact visit 12 months later, an annual check up and routine blood work, I received a massive bill from a medical collections agency for $750! I never even received an original bill stating my insurance did not cover it from this office! I intervened and follow all the recommendations BCBS PPO had to offer me and it all had to do with how the the services were billed. After about 8 months of going back and forth with this office I got absolutely no where! As a professional in the medical field, I know how complex and busy small offices can get, but this one far exceeded a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! Do not waste your time with inexperienced professionals who do not know how to bill or do their job correctly. read more

I am incredibly disappointed and beyond frustrated with Dr. Swanson's office. After researching and reading many positive reviews, I decided to book my new patient visit with Dr. Swanson. I called the first week of August, and my appointment was scheduled 6 weeks out at 11am (they even send you an email confirmation with your apt day/time the day you schedule). In addition, I also wanted to schedule an ultrasound (considering it took me 6 weeks to even get an appointment, I wanted to be proactive to get the ultrasound appointment on the books). However, they would not allow me to schedule the ultrasound before my visit with Dr. Swanson (I already know I have PCOS). Ok, fine, I will wait. I just received an email, the day before my appointment, confirming my 8am apt. I went back and looked at the email I received 6 weeks ago for the confirmation and it stated 11am. When I called and spoke to the girl at the front desk, she was very rude and told me that my appointment was ALWAYS at 8am and that the doctor is completely booked.... So, I had to wait 6 weeks to even see the doctor, then with less than 24hrs notice, they change my appointment from 11am to 8am, and then the girls on the phone act like it's my problem (even though I forwarded them my original email w/the original time). They could have cared less, and I consider this incredibly unprofessional and totally rude (I guess my schedule doesn't matter). No, thank you. I canceled my appointment, and I have zero desire to give them any business. read more

I started seeing Dr. Olga Swanson in 2016 and just had my 5th well woman appointment with her. Like many women, we dread that yearly appointment but Dr Swanson makes it quick and painless. She makes you feel completely comfortable and has excellent bed side manner. I truly believe she cares deeply about her patients health and well-being. As for the well woman exam; I'm normally in and out in 30 minutes. You can view your results online but the staff always calls with results. I've read a few reviews that people have had issues with the front desk but I've always found them very nice and helpful and haven't had a single issue with the staff, office or Doctor. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Olga Swanson and her bedside assistants. This was my first visit to the OBGYN so naturally I was scared. She was very calm and patient with me and explained exactly what was going to happen beforehand. The exam was really quick and it didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable at all! I have so many great things to say about this office and Dr. Olga Swansan. She is by far the kindest and most down to earth Doctor I have ever met. She truly takes the time to understand all of her patients concerns and makes sure you never leave with questions or concerns. She always has a full waiting room and manages to still see everyone on time. I went to her 2 years ago about wanting to have children and she made sure to do what ever she could for me to feel comfortable and make sure that it happened. She is a miracle worker and I am now 7 months pregnant and SO THANKFUL For having her as my doctor. She has now referred me to my delivery doctor and he is amazing also. I've been loyal to Dr. Swanson since 2014. She is a breath of fresh air compared to every other doctor I've seen in the past. I've never waited more than a couple of minutes in the waiting area which is unheard of for most doctor offices. Dr. Swanson is also so friendly and caring, she makes you feel very comfortable. I have lots of friends who are also loyal to her, so that says something! My only complaint is with the ladies at the front desk. I came to Dr. Swanson after my previous doctor retired. My first appointment was last week, and I had another one this week. My most recent visit was stressful because I was so scared, due to some recent traumatic experiences. Dr. Swanson sat with me, listened to me, comforted me - everything that a friend or family member would do. When a doctor shows that much concern for my feelings about my health, I know that I've found the doctor for me. I also like that my husband was allowed to come back with me so that he could see what was going on and ask questions, too. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Swanson. Let me start by saying that I avoid going to the gynecologist like most people avoid the dentist. That is no longer the case thanks to Preferred Gynecology. Dr. Swanson is so nice and personable. Dr. Olga Swanson is AMAZING. I have been looking for a new gyno since my last one moved. I tried a new gyno, and suffered a terrible experience trying to get birth control. I found Dr. Swanson on yelp with great reviews, and transferred my medical records to Preferred Gynocology. However, I went into the first appointment very skeptical and weary after my terrible previous attempt at finding a new doctor. From the get-go, it was a very easy and pleasant experience. Her staff is very competent and responsive. You do not get transferred around when calling in to ask questions. When I had questions about the appointment and medication, the staff was able to answer it immediately. I did not have to wait for anyone to call me back. We had trouble getting the horrible previous doctor to transfer my medical records, but Preferred Gynocology was very flexible and understanding with my appointment. When I met Dr. Swanson, she seemed very present and relaxed. She didn't seem rushed, like she was doing me a favor by seeing me. She was very personable. I felt at ease asking her questions, follow-up questions, and asking for clarification. She *never* made me feel like I was dumb. We were able to talk about my options, giving me pros and cons for everything. I never felt like she was trying to push me into an option I didn't want. Well worth the one month wait to schedule a new patient appointment! This is the perfect gyno office. It's small, intimate, and staffed by courteous professionals. Call first to see if they accept your insurance! I had to call and confirm before scheduling my appt. Dr. Swanson is kind, warm, and courteous. She wants to give you the time you need. I appreciate her attention to detail and that she is anti-nexplanon. (My last gyno was curt and insisted on a nexplanon instead of a iud. 1 year and 25lbs later, I got it taken out.) Her last appt of the day is around 2pm, so you will need to take off work. However finding a good gyno is hard and well worth leaving work early! read more

This my second time coming to Dr Swanson office, I must say I finally found a CARING doctor that treats me as a PERSON not just another patient. She took the time to go over my results never rushing and answering all my questions. Dr. Swanson made sure that when I walked out of her office I understood everything, with NO misunderstandings or NO concerns. I liked the fact she spoke to you in terms you can understand, no big medical terms that you won't understand. Her staff was very kind and approachable, Ms Kim (ultrasound tech) make i felt comfortable. She held conversation with me and walk me though the procedure. Her Front Desk receptionists were very kind, friendly (always greeting you with a smile) and kindly explain the bill to you. I don't feel rushed and she always answers my questions. Recently I had a small issue with communication with her front staff. Thankful that I found this place through Yelp. I didn't want to return to my previous OBGYN in the Medical Center because parking is such a hassle and I thought that my visits were always mediocre at best. Preferred Gynecology has easy and free parking so that's already a plus. I was promptly called back by the assistant shortly after I completed my paperwork. Dr. Olga Swanson was very pleasant and had excellent bedside manners. She took the time to review my history, thoroughly explain everything from beginning to end, and addressed all my questions and concerns. Dr. Swanson and her staff pay close attention to even the smallest details. I so appreciated that the speculum was WARM! In my past experiences, the speculum that is used during the pap smear was always cold, as it is a solid piece of metal. The office itself is kept very clean. Their medical records are electronic based and you can access everything through their online patient portal. My lab results returned within a few days and I was able to access it online after the staff left a voicemail notifying that the results were posted. Overall, a wonderful experience. Wait time is very short and the doctor is excellent! read more

After taking a day off from work for the appointment and spending $$ on Uber, I was turned away by being 12 minutes late and was told in a very rude tone by the front desk staff that I had to reschedule. I was referred to Dr. Olga Swanson by my GP and I'm so glad I was. Dr. Swanson is very warm, personable, down to earth, easy to talk to, caring, kind, compassionate and really listens to her patients. She's the kind of gynecologist I wish I had when I was younger but I'm glad I found her now. She is very thorough and not judgmental at all. I wish all doctors were as wonderful as she is. I especially love that she is a gynecologist only and not an obstetrician because I'm childfree and needed a specialist who understood and could treat my PCOS issues as I go through my middle aged years. She offers cash prices if you don't have insurance, and has the most fantastic bedside manner. Get an early appointment- ones later in the afternoon can run a little late. DO NOT, I reiterate, DO NOT go to this obgyn!! No patient should have their credit ruined because a Doctors' office staff can't complete simply everyday tasks! :( If you love your credit score and want to keep your sanity, go somewhere else. I just realized 7 months after my doctor's appointment in December 2015, I was taken to collection for a bill I NEVER received. I had a well woman's exam during my appt, which included a pap smear, which was sent to a lab (PROPATH LAB SERVICES). Not only did they have my address wrong at the Dr's office, they had my insurance info wrong as well. They sent the specimen along with the wrong info, which resulted in the lab being unable to process my insurance payment. The lab tried to send me a bill for $85 when the insurance co. couldn't find my info (because of the incompetency of dr's office) but it was sent to the WRONG ADDRESS!!! So what did the lab company do? Took me to collections and my perfect credit went down -65 points......all because front of staff couldn't read!!! So as you can see, I'm pretty freakin' upset! And for a very good reason. As I stated above, no patient should have their credit ruined because a Doctors' office staff can't complete simply everyday tasks! :( read more

The NP Michelle is honestly the best ever. I went in today because the birth control my previous doctor prescribed isnt covered by my insurance anymore and is also giving me side effects. She listened to everything and we actually talked about it all. In-office she said my current pill is probably best and to contact the doctor who prescribed it to work with the insurance on coverage. After hours she called me from her cell phone with follow-up questions and said she wouldn't be able to sleep knowing she couldn't help me and decided to switch my prescription based on our phone conversation. Super caring and genuine! I've never had any doc or NP go out of their way like that. read more

Update: After reading my initial negative review, Dr Swanson contacted me herself that night to find out what happened. She sincerely apologized for her new staff's attitude. She wanted to try to make things right and promised to look into my complaint herself. The next day, I received a call from her clinic clarifying that they do accept my insurance. My appointment was today and I agree with all the positive reviews here. It was a very efficient and pleasant experience. I went for a well woman exam and was out of the clinic within the hour. I am a new patient to your clinic and unfortunately, that is the last appointment I will have with your clinic - primarily due to your staff. On first visit, I was refused the HIPPA form - but only given the last, signature page of the form. When I asked for it (because I can't sign something stating that I have read and understood it without having received it) I was not given the form but instead given an excuse..."but it's 8 pages long and we would have to print it out". Really?? It's illegal not to provide it. So provide it and stop complaining about the paper. Then, I had an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early to fill out any paperwork but wasn't seen for 45 more minutes after my appointment time. The visit with you went well and I liked you. Then came my test results. I had pap smear and blood work for FSH and glucose. The nurses called and said everything was "normal". I was interested in the blood work results so asked for the actual numbers. The nurse said "I can have the doctor call instead" - I agreed and waited 2 days. I heard nothing so I called back asking to please speak to the doctor regarding the results and what it meant. I told the lady that I had test results return and wanted to know what they meant for me. Instead of asking "what is your name" she asked "what is the patient's name"? We had been talking a while. We are people and that is insulting. I'm talking to her like a normal human and she's treating me as a number. Rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for. 100%. She came back online and said "they are normal - the numbers are normal." After probing for more information on the actual numbers she put me on hold and came back and said "the glucose is elevated but everything else is normal". What is "normal"? I asked to speak to the doctor again and was denied. She said you had left for the day already (at 115pm) and would not be back until the 28th. When I logged onto my portal to get some information - I see that the FSH isn't even returned yet. Your staff just lied to me and said it was "normal". I'm sorry but this is being posted on your review sites. It's atrocious behavior of your staff. And if they delete this email without letting you read it, I'm sure you get the review notifications when I post it and will read it anyway...because any future patients certainly will. Best Doctor ever! I would have loved to give it a 5 star but staff are always unprofessional in person and over the phone. Sometimes I get the feeling that they don't know what they are doing. Every time I call for a question or concern they never know anything. Using Yelp to find a doctor seemed odd at first. One day I'm looking for great wine bar and the next, a doctor to put serious medical questions to rest. Who knew I would literally have the best doctor visit I've ever had with a gynecologist after finding Dr. Swanson here. With all the news coverage that comes with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I realized I needed to proactively make sure I was on the right track and taking all the preventative steps possible, as well as make sure what I am already doing is recommended and safe for my age. I'm 44 years young, so this is not my first rodeo with a gynecologist. Dr. Swanson took time to answer every question I had with a thorough explanation that was easy to understand. She took her time, really listened, made sure I understood everything and actually walked me through how to do a breast self-exam, the best time to do it and what normal tissue feels like. In 30 years, that's a first and in my opinion, crucial to know! Now that I understand what I'm doing, I'll actually make it part of my regular routine. I'm completely impressed. Dr. Swanson and her staff are warm and caring along with being very thorough. I told my husband about the visit and he put it best - "Sounds like you found a doctor for life..." After having YEARS of struggles trying to find a good doctor, I happened to find Dr. Swanson and she is beyond amazing. I used to spend 1-2 hours waiting at my old doctor, and today, I barely waited at all. She was SO thorough, asked a ton of questions, and there was NO pain during exam, which is also awesome!
