Howard was highly recommended to us by family who he supported through their purchasing and selling of properties. With a quick email introduction provided by our family, we were able to connect with Howard in hopes of finding our forever home. Howard made it a point to get to know our housing preferences including preferred areas, types of homes, pain points, areas of flexibility, and what type of information we needed to know to make informed decisions. After meeting virtually and exchanging several emails, Howard was quick to work with our schedule to view homes that we found on our own, and show us homes that he had found, on and off market. Each home we saw, Howard would provide information about the property prior to the viewing (which helped us decide if we really wanted to see some of the properties- this saved a lot of time), and during the viewing, he would provide us any additional information that was disclosed by the listing agent. When we would walk through the properties, he would highlight both the positives and worries about the home; he was very transparent about what was seen and possibly unseen by us as first-time homebuyers. We had a great experience selling our home in Mountain View through Howard's. This was a (Tyler Park) townhouse we had actually bought through him some 20 years ago, we contacted him again and I'm glad we went in that direction. He is the full package, knows everything and everyone in the business and helped us every step of the way. For example: I didn't believe it was necessary, but his advice in staging made a complete difference in selling the home. The result was just gorgeous for potential buyers to see (we wanted to come back and live again in the place once we saw the result), and the home sold at least 100k above recent homes sold in our complex. He only works with the best people and will give you great advice (...if you listen). I tried, for example, to do the kitchen cabinets repainting myself and had to give up halfway, not realizing the sheer amount of work and specific knowledge it would take to finish the job. The contractors he brought in finished the job in less than a week and the end result looked great, way better than what I could have done. Howard was always a few steps ahead of the game, it was very hard to, let's say, "outsmart" him. Despite that, I was able to put new cabinet handles myself and change all wall plates, switches and plugs, but that was about it. He was also very accomodating to me wanting to do those myself. When it came to pricing the home, his comments were to the point and I didn't feel like he was just trying to sell it quickly and get to the next sale. He always said it was my decision, and that's how it worked out in the end. He also helped us in the next step of buying a new home. I was a extremely worried, fearing we'd not be able to afford a new home in this crazy wacky bay area seller's market, but like Howard said: "things always work in a strange way and you'll end up in a home that is great for you".
