I knew it was the perfect camp for my son since Camp Jurassic deals with dinosaurs and gemstones, both of which my son loves. The camp staff seem to be very caring of the children and offer plenty of fun activities. My son was excited every day to go to camp (and it was his first time ever going to camp) and after each day he always brought home a variety of projects that they had worked on during the day which varies from an erupting volcano, to an edible volcano, to a dinosaur model, to magnetic gemstones, rock candy, and so much more! My son was thrilled to go on a dinosaur dig where he "discovered" dinosaur bones that they put together. I'm thrilled to discover a camp that challenges my son both mentally (since they do scientific experiments and learning projects) as well as physically when they go outside to play. I've never seen my son so excited about attending anything before and he comes home every day with stories of all the fun he had during the day and all the new things he's learned. I highly recommend this company if you're looking for some place for your child to have a lot of fun as well as learn a lot in the process, since my son can't seem to stop raving about how great of an experience he's had with them!

This school is very family oriented and maintains an educational yet fun environment. The pricing here is very fair for the classes as well as their branded merchandise. The class schedule is also very easy to follow. The daily class schedule for each level of students is different for every day of the week. However, this schedule is the same every week. Once you input the dates into your calendar you can put them on repeat and you'll never miss a beat. The belt testing here is also done well in my opinion. The testing dates are announced well in advance and I've also seen them posted throughout the Dojo. As long as the students attend, participate and learn the different blocks, punches, etc then they should pass their tests each time. My son has moved up to the next belt each time he has a belt test. The new location is really cool too! They now have two floors which allows them to accommodate more classes as well. I really am glad that my son attends Okinawan Karate Dojo! I'm lookong forward to him earning his black belt here one day.

The experiments were led by three high school-aged young ladies, with help from the owner when needed. The young ladies did an absolutely amazing job; they were engaging and knew how to keep a group of 11 five year olds interested and on task the entire time. All of the kids (and parents) had a fantastic time. Logistics: The party was 2 hours; about 10 mins for everyone to gather, an hour and a half or so for the experiments, and another 20-30 mins for cupcakes afterward. We never felt rushed during our time there. The party room was immaculately set up when we arrived (table cloths, plates, napkins, cups, forks all provided). There were also tables available for food and gifts. They very nicely encouraged parents to stay out of the lab area (so the kids weren't distracted), but they weren't strict about this; there was also a large window in the hallway where the parents were able to see what was going on without being obtrusive. I truly can't say enough good things about our experience there. The ladies did a wonderful job!

I honestly can't get passed the fact the kids have to sit on the floor to eat their lunch. I get that there may not be enough tables to accommodate a large number of children, but this is a paid camp. Why don't you invest in more tables or mats or something? Eating food sitting on the floor is highly unsanitary. Do you eat food sitting on the bare floor? I bet not. But, the camp counselors eat their lunches at the tables. Please change this practice; tables don't cost THAT much.

We spent our Fourth of July at Terrapin and it was absolutely wonderful! From being welcomed at the…read moredesk (I am so sorry I can't remember his name!), to our awesome guides Justin and Jasmine, to Scott who helped at the swing and doing the belay to get us down - we truly enjoyed the whole experience (despite the unbearable heat this weekend). Justin and Jasmine made sure we stayed hydrated, and regularly brought us into the air conditioning to avoid overheating. They ensured our safety every moment we were there. The rope course was insanely fun, the giant swing and zip line were a blast and our favorite part was honestly the rock climbing! Justin and Jasmine were fantastic - we will definitely come back (preferably not during a heat wave haha) and hope they will be our guides again - every single person today made it memorable for my family! He NEVER would get up and speak in front of others in class or sing at church in the youth programs it took a lot of coaxing to do this camp. Gerald one of the instructors was the best he helped him feel right at home helped him to build his self confidence even played Basketball with him on breaks. He enjoyed all the kids and wanted to go everyday. I couldn't have been more proud to watch him at his performance. What a change.
