The website was a bit 'wonky' and threw errors when I tried to reserve a tee time online. After a quick call to the ProShop it was discovered the tee time did book, and I just couldn't see a website confirmation. The ProShop staff were always cordial and helpful answering questions. The golf carts are fast, there is a slight speed delimiter going downhill. When we got to the 9th hole there was a sign to call in an order and have food ready. Upon arrival to the ProShop, the girl seemed new and did not get our full order, but after a few minutes everything was ready to go. The greens were recently aerated a couple weeks ago so we had some bumpy putts and odd breaks. The roughs were not impossible to hit out of, and the bunkers were full of sand as would be expected. Overall, this place is a high quality public golf course that is well maintained for the amount of volume it receives. On a mid week morning the parking lot near the clubhouse was almost full. The driving range is grass, and not artificial - true practice hitting. In a couple aspects, Waverly is on pace with some private courses, and surpasses some public courses in a few areas. The Korean launch monitor system, Golfzon, is good but doesn't get the refined data that the highest end monitors can. The graphics for the system are just okay. The golf balls used are really a toss up. The system auto loads a golf ball onto the tee, which is really cool, but about a third of the time I was trying to load another ball in better shape. You can't use your own there either since they are collected underneath the mat. We rented a bay and were given some complimentary popcorn which was a nice touch. They have a bar area, but we didn't explore their menu this time. Next time, hopefully, I will get a chance to do that. One big drawback is there is only one monitor that has a left-handed setup which is in the back. The putting green is in the middle of the space right when you walk in, but I can't imagine many if any people use it. But there is a nice sitting area in the middle where you can wait until your rented bay opens up. With three of us, we played 18 in two hours easily. And that's with some lag time to warm up and get used to the system. We will be back for sure!

Bring very walkable with good elevation change is tough to do but it was pulled off very well here. Greens are good and tricky. I definitely want another shot at this place because I got a little greedy at times. Just a good mix of everything. There are a couple of holes where a left to right shot is mandatory from the tips, but otherwise there's a great mix of the tee in terms of shot shape needed and well placed hazards. This is a little more wide open off the tee than the other track. Lots of good people and players out here. The range for members is on top of the hill and has a bent grass level and a Bermuda grass level which is a fantastic way of having a grass range. Otherwise you are next to the parking lot hitting off mats. But this place has a good set of practice areas. The food was solid and the service was fantastic. Definitely a place I would join if it were more convenient for me. I would love to get invited back!

Some of the par 3s was waiting 10-15 min on the tee box. The marshals out on the course were clearly clueless and rude. Around the 5th hole, our group is in the fairway, clubs in hand, waiting for the green to clear to hit approaches.... Marshal comes up and tells us we need to hurry up and we're behind pace. We chuckled and thought he was joking. Clearly he can see that people are on the green, we can't hit yet, there are people on the next tee box waiting to tee off, and a group behind us waiting to tee off. Then a few holes later after waiting 10min on the tee we hit our tee shots as soon as the fairway clears. A different marshal rolls up as we're about to ride off and gives us grief because the group in front of is near the green and we only finished teeing off. I guess he doesn't realize it only takes about 20 seconds to drive from the fairway up to the green but it does take more than 20 seconds to hit 4 tee shots. I don't think I'll be going back there for a long time. Just a crappy experience by packing in tee times too tightly and not keeping the course moving.

Select your course or just practice at the driving range. When you're ready to play, you hit a button with your club or foot and a ball comes out and tees up for you! You can adjust the tee height with the same ease. If you're hitting a fairway shot or putting, you just move it around. Yes, you putt which is also new to me at sims. We set our 'cede' putt distance to within 7 feet which helped speed the game along a bit. You can also take a mulligan! I went with someone who had been before and explained it to me however the staff were all very friendly and ready to help. Matt, the owner, came over several times as he heard us chatting about options for play. Very helpful! I asked him about bringing a group of ladies here and will explore that option for sure! We had Barbie helping us with drinks. We didn't eat this time but hope to next time. Draft beer was tasty. I asked about happy hours or specials and they don't have any. Make a reservation online before you go. You need about an hour a player to play 18 holes. You can extend if there isn't a group behind you. We had to since we couldn't get started on time (see note below). Pricing is different depending on the time of day. Check the website. I went with two other people and had two beers. We golfed for 3.5 hours. I paid $86, finished 18 holes and felt perfectly tired and happy when I was done. Hope that's helpful! A few points for the owners: Please allow people to enter 15 minutes before their start time. We couldn't get into the building until our reservation had already started taking away about 15 minutes from our play. We had to wait outside in the cold since we didn't know about that and dutifully got there 15-20 min early. Please get club stands so golfers with bags that don't have kickstands don't have their clubs falling over during play. Is it possible to put the golf and the drink/food on separate checks? The implication is you should tip on the full total which is misleading. I'll be back!

I chose the 105 and that was plenty enough before I started getting some blisters from all the swings The driving range had different flag markers and even a water trap which was definitely where a lot of my balls ended up. Definitely a great place to practice your aim. There's also a decent amount of covered spots with even some benches to rest. For members, you can use a grass tee area to practice. They have a nine or 18 course option that I'll have to come back and try.
