I had car insurance through here from 2005-2013 and renter's insurance for a brief time too. The…read morebiggest pro is that it's a local office, easily accessible, and professionally staffed. If you just walked in there or called them, you would always get the info and help you need. In 2005, my driving record was abysmal, but I still got what I thought was cheap full coverage insurance on my 2000 Ford Focus. After 2012, despite being older with a now clean record, my insurance continued to go up and up for the same car and coverage. In the course of one policy renewal, my insurance went from bimonthly $160 to $210 with no explanation. Aside from the occasional tow, I never once made a claim for an accident or anything else, and my record remained clean. I attempted to drop full coverage, but that would've only saved me around $15 a month. So, $90 a month for minimum insurance on a 13 year old car? I got quoted from another local company for $55 a month, and there I went. Right before I left, they recently instituted an unannounced $25 fee for late payments. Prior, there was no late fee policy, which was kind of nice. My payment was due on a holiday Monday, and I mailed it in on the previous Wednesday. Well, they didn't receive it until the next Tuesday, and they promptly charged me $25 with a cancellation threat already on its way to my mailbox. The charge wasn't removed when I called to complain. Their office was closed on my due date, but they still slapped me with a late fee. Some customer service for an 8-year member.

bad place called for a quote was double what I'm paying now and never got a ticket or had a claim…read more so I also had my friend call it same thing over 2x the price she is currently paying. In my opinion this place is a rip off !

We have been with State Farm since the 1990's at Carla Gerhardt's location in Monroe. When she retired, this branch took over. We recently returned from our vacation and I was finishing the laundry; the last load gave us the problem; the water inlet sensor malfunctioned and the water kept coming. I turned off the machine( a 4 year old LG) to no avail, I had to turn off the water line which was the only way to stop the flow. Needless to say, we had a great deal of water that ended up ruining the carpeting and went under the floor boards. We cleaned it up with our shop vac as best we could. Then we contacted State Farm and ended up filing a claim. The appraisal was over $8,000 but State Farm could only give us $3000. CAVEAT EMPTOR! Buyer beware. Who knows what Tom was doing, we never heard from him. If this had been Carla's office, we would have been taken care of.

BEWARE OF STATE FARM!!! Being on a fixed income and living…read morein a time when corporate greed, reigns, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that my home insurance from State Farm went up $310 over last year's rate. To add insult, this company has shown that it does not care and offers little to no support when it is truly needed. And, If I could leave ZERO stars I would! WARNING! State Farm does NOT have your back: We have been with State Farm since the 1990's at Carla Gerhardt's branch. Tom Donovan acquired her branch when she retired. We recently returned from our vacation and my wife was finishing the laundry; the last load gave us the problem; the water inlet valve sensor malfunctioned and the water kept coming. My wife turned off the machine( a 4 year old LG) to no avail, She had to turn off the water line which was the only way to stop the flow. Needless to say, we had a great deal of water that ended up ruining the carpeting and went under the floor boards in the laundry room, kitchen, dining room and into the carpeting in the living room. We cleaned it up ourselves as quickly as possible, but it ended up warping the floor boards and ruining the carpeting and one side of a built-in book case. After contacting State Farm and filing a claim, the State Farm's incomplete appraisal came in at over $8,000 (not including the bookcase nor the $310 for the washing machine repair), and State Farm only reimbursed us $3000. We never heard from Tom. If this had been Carla's office, the matter would have been handled more effectively. I would not recommend this insurance company. Btw, State Farm's CEO made $24,000,000 in 2022. Wow.
