The confusion is a result of Meeting House Lane Medical Practice being associated with Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and having a listing within its website. However, when you press the Meeting House Lane Medical Practice within the Stony Brook Southampton website, if you are a patient you can get your record and a lot of other personal patient information. However, it does not have a listing in that patient portal of the medical professionals working within the Meeting House Lane Medical Practice. My experience with the doctors who work within that practice is excellent. But unless you know beforehand, or get a paper listing from one of Meeting House Lane Medical Practice members, you would be unable to secure that information online. You have to already be a patient of one of the medical professionals within this group.

It took three months for a nurse to properly request prior authorization for a much needed medication, and we ended up paying out of pocket for it. They tell you to leave prescription refill requests on the prescription line, but either no one monitors that line or it doesn't work. One particular receptionist, I believe she is the office manager, is extremely rude and condescending. She doesn't want to listen. She interrupts and talks over people when they are trying to explain something. Not just me, but I witnessed her treating others the same while waiting in the waiting room. Based on a particularly biased comment she made to a coworker, which was heard in the waiting room, it seems she doesn't care much for the elderly either.

Fortunately, he was able to diagnosis me properly and prescribed the correct combination of drugs to alleviate my pain. My energy level was back to normal, and my life is back to where it was over 10 years ago. I am grateful to Dr. Prashad. I find him to be a compassionate doctor who cares about his patients.

I needed it done rather quickly (my procedure is next week) and my deadline to hand in my school forms without getting penalized is coming up soon as well. I called Wednesday morning and they got me in the next afternoon!! My appointment was at 1pm, I arrived at 12:45 and they brought me back into the room at 12:50....AMAZING!!!
