The confusion is a result of Meeting House Lane Medical Practice being associated with Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and having a listing within its website. However, when you press the Meeting House Lane Medical Practice within the Stony Brook Southampton website, if you are a patient you can get your record and a lot of other personal patient information. However, it does not have a listing in that patient portal of the medical professionals working within the Meeting House Lane Medical Practice. My experience with the doctors who work within that practice is excellent. But unless you know beforehand, or get a paper listing from one of Meeting House Lane Medical Practice members, you would be unable to secure that information online. You have to already be a patient of one of the medical professionals within this group.

Temperature was listed in Centigrade. Weight in kilograms. P.A. lax and somewhat rude and sullen. Clearly does not like his job. May have too much responsibility without any oversight, carrying the business for a low salary. Name of someone else was on the exit paper w a weight 5 pounds lower. I got there just…read moreas the place was opening and within five minutes I was checked in by a very pleasant staff person. 15 to 20 minutes later I was seen by Daniel Truhan. Dan asked me numerous questions to ascertain what protocol to follow. He decided to send me for x-rays of my hips and lower spine. He reviewed the results with me by the end of that day & said there is a possibility that there might be a fracture. After reviewing the results of the X-rays, he submitted an order for me to have a CT scan of the same area the next day. Two hours after the scan was complete Dan called me and gave me the good news that I did not have a fracture of my tailbone. I've noticed there have been a lot of poor reviews of this location and some of the people that work there, however, I have nothing but good things to say. My experience was extremely positive.

Regardless of when you call, you cannot get anyone on the telephone and there are no options to use the self pay. [you are diverted to an operator who also cannot help you.] It is the most aggravating situation in that they say you can call, they give you the hours of operation, yet there is never anyone to help you. Dr. Dempsey came in shortly after and asked detailed, thoughtful questions about my symptoms. His nurse assisted him, and within minutes, they diagnosed me with the flu. Dr. Dempsey's team even called White's Pharmacy in East Hampton to ensure my prescription could be filled right away. Quick, knowledgeable service from a caring doctor is rare these days, and Dr. Dempsey exceeded all expectations.
