HD was recommended by another client and I was looking for a good place for my dog to play and also be safe. I really love this place. They know their dogs and break them into groups that work. The other thing I really liked was the lack of toys and obstacles. Both of those things can quickly turn into territorial issues and start fights. When my pup is there he is playing with other dogs or resting. Easy drop off and pick up. Fees are very reasonable and my dog loves it. Very clean and well managed.

    Our pup at Howling Dog!

Our dog is a rescue who can be quite nervous around people and shy around other dogs. Susie was so understanding and helpful with this information and gave us a plan to ease him into daycare. We try to take our pup at least once a week and Susie is always so patient with him and sends us lots of photo updates! As others have mentioned, Susie and her staff truly care about the dogs in their care and we are so happy to have found Howling Dog!

My great dane pup is 7 months old and been coming for months. He has learned to play with all the dogs and of course under their watchful eye. He loves coming here and I love picking up a tired and happy dog.

So glad we found Howling Dog! Susie and the team have an engaging and thoughtful approach to daycare. They make sure our dog gets plenty of activity, attention, and rest. Susie regularly sends us updates of how our dog is doing (with accompanying photos) and you can tell how much she cares about every dog under her supervision.

Is there any place to find out more info about daycare and boarding services? No details on the website and I sent an email through "contact us" a few weeks ago and still haven't heard back, but the location is convenient

Instead of guided interactions, it was mostly chaotic, with limited supervision from the staff. The staff only paid attention to the young students, those close to their own age. At several moments, more dominant puppies were overwhelming the more timid ones, and the intervention from staff was either too late or not sufficient. This made the experience feel uncomfortable and not very secure. Also, I was hoping to receive more professional guidance and education regarding puppy behavior and proper socialization. However, there was very little instruction provided, only some basic comments without much depth. Overall, I would not recommend this class.

They require the first two rounds of vaccines at lease and keep the puppies separated from the grown dogs to prevent spread of disease. I was thrilled to bring my baby in. She was ripping the house apart. We bought the three week package which includes daily one on one trainings plus a weekly owner private training session. So far one week down and I am seeing major improvements. We brought our five year old to the training to listen in. This week has been much easier for our daughter. She isn't running away or as scared of our pups nipping bites. She has even practiced the training we learned together at ISS. Two more weeks to go and I'll update yall. So far highly recommend Marlen and ISS for your puppy!

They come right to the car to get her, so I don't even have to step out--huge win on busy days. They also send the best report cards, which make it so fun (and reassuring) to see how Pip's day went. But what really sets them apart is how attentive and caring the staff is. Pip had been having some stomach issues, and I mentioned it to them so they could keep an eye on her. They went above and beyond and actually sent me a photo of a concerning stool (not the kind of photo you expect to be grateful for, but here we are). Because of that, I took Pip to the vet right away, and turns out she had a bout of pancreatitis. The vet told me that catching it that early made a big difference and that she's expected to recover quickly. I'm incredibly grateful to the team for paying such close attention and taking the time to communicate with me. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Pip is in such thoughtful, capable hands. Highly recommend!

We met "Greyson" at the East Valley Shelter in Van Nuys and was scheduled to euthanized on 4/17 because of a condition called Enteopion, where the eyelids grow inward. So his lashes have been irritating his eyes his whole life. The surgery is expensive, we went home and did our research calling several Pitbull rescues. So many amazing people lead us to Mahkala, who is connected with PetSpace. We were then connected with Patricia was able to get the surgery approved, if we agreed to Foster to Adopt. She picked up Greyson from the pound and took him to get the surgery. We picked him up, and after 2 weeks of shepherding him through his healing, took him back to PetSpace to have his stitches removed. The only hiccups we've had was unclear communication at times. In dealing with several other folks via text, email, our valid and pertinent questions seemed to be more of an annoyance and not answering. "We don't have that info" or "It hasn't been updated in our system" were frequent answers to our inquiries pertain to the dog. The facility is wonderful, the store is pricy which was kind of surprising. I believe the people here know it's a special place. Unfortunately, this place was a HUGE disappointment and had a huge negative impact on our pup. Long story short -- Everything here is a sales grab. The few girls care for the animals but the "managers" and men there are just there for the commission of your packages. I had a whole conversation about their unethical sales pitching with the employee while picking up my dog lol. It's "how they keep the place open" - the employee's words, not mine. Astounding. Said employee also asked what I did for a living because I questioned their sales pitch tactics -- I'm in sales. Also, If you need their VIP services for your unspayed or neutered pup, please spend your money elsewhere!! Before committing to a membership, we did a trial day and spent hundreds on drop in days, grooming, and overnight boarding to see if it was a good fit for our high energy pup. Our dog is not neutered and we don't plan on getting him neutered so we chose their VIP rooms. His breed is also extremely high energy and they promised they could accommodate. I also inquired about training multiple times and they kept saying the trainer would contact me. Everything went great after those few visits, they seemed caring and said he was a great fit for a membership so we end up signing up. Then everything went downhill. Upon the first day of the membership, our dog all of a sudden had behavior issues and needed to be picked up. In the middle of my work day I call the shift manager, and he states that if we want our dog to stay, he needs training ... (from their same trainer that I've inquired 3x about before committing to a membership, still haven't heard back). I asked why this wasn't communicated ever before committing to a membership and they didn't have an answer. I informed them that I would've paid for training before committing to a membership if they would've let me know that there were any issues. Our dog went a couple of more times until they could finally get me in touch with the trainer, 6 visits later. Actually I had lost complete trust at this facility. To add insult to injury, I was able to speak to one of their actual workers that is with the dogs and she let me know that our dog is only let out for about 10 minutes at a time, maybe 3 to 4 times a day during a 12 hour stay. This is their VIP option. So not only is he left in a room for about 12 hours a day, with dogs barking all around him, he's not being stimulated nor played with just being let out to go to the bathroom. Contradicting everything they say that they offer. Their "trainer" is also a joke. He is supposed to be from the Marines and well-versed in the breed of dog that we have. Upon washing him for 5 minutes, as I was told, he said that our dog needed to be neutered before he could be trained because of his energy. Our dog is a Malinois and is not supposed to be neutered before 2 years of age. We've since went elsewhere to get our dog trained from someone who is actually educated on his breed and he's worked on all of his anxiety and reactivity issues that our pup got because of this place.
