DISABLED / MOBILITY ISSUE TRAVELERS BEWARE!…read more This hotel does not care about you! I am on a 100 day tour around Alaska and Canada and have travelled through the south eastern islands / marine highway and Haines Junction / Tok by this point with no issue. 5 nights booking. Stated in booking I had mobility issues. Did not check until I arrived then they downgraded me to a room on the second floor via elevator. Would they come get me in an emergency? Would not have chosen this hotel if I couldn't get the advertised room. The given room only had a single handrail in the bathroom a distance from the toilet or sink. The shower was not step-free but mostly step-free. There was no rubber mat. The breakfast was very difficult to use with a walker and there was no assistance. On 3 occasions non disabled guests parked or blocked the disabled spots, raised with front desk, did nothing. On two of those occasions the lots were also full and I had to walk with my walker a significant distance in the rain. They had company vehicles blocking spots preventing me entering and others leaving and when asked if they could move temporarily I was told no. On third occurrence of disabled use/blocking informed them if I see it again I will be contacting police. Supervisor told me he was unaware of these issues which means they must have never raised or discussed them among themselves. He got sarcastic with me and told me I should call the police right now. I said it's your hotel I'm doing you a courtesy by telling you and not calling the police but I will the next time I see it. I left the hotel at this point as I simply don't know if I can park there or trust they would rescue me. DO NOT STAY HERE Attached are some photos showing these issues

You won't have problems if you will have the Kenai Fjords tour first before going to the hotel to check in. Check in was smooth. The lady at the front desk provided us with detailed information on the amenities and the shuttle. Hourly shuttle service is available with drop offs/pick ups at Windsong Lodge, Alaska SeaLife Center and Small Boat Harbor. The property is huge; it's great that they offer very convenient and quick service (golf carts) to/from your building to the main building. Room was clean. The sink was located outside the bathroom, close to the beds, which was a little weird. Nevertheless, the bathroom was clean and their toiletries are of high quality. Though the room did not have air conditioning, the room remained cool and comfortable even if it was summer. There was no complimentary breakfast. The restaurant Resurrection Roadhouse in the property offers great, delicious food. If you're leaving Seward and will use Park Connection, their buses will pick you up here which was very convenient. Overall, I had a great experience here.

But that's about where my positive review stops. The vibe is summer camp from your 90s/00s childhood. We thought it looked great in the pictures but it was far more dated. The room had that musky smell you often find in basements. The beds were either an aggressively soft memory foam or rock hard. The sleeper coach does not fit anyone comfortably under 5'3". And the heat...there was no way of controlling the temperature in your room except for a large fan they provided. If you like sleeping in a sauna, then I recommend you consider this location. Also, our location was not friendly to mobility restrictions. They steps made it difficult to get to our room with luggage. Something to consider if you have those needs.

Booking online was easy and we called ahead to see if we could check in a little later than the scheduled time, and Sue was accommodating. The Google Map directions are a little misleading; go past where the directions "end" and go to the red balloon pin. Otherwise, pretty easy to get to and not far from Seward or Exit Glacier! We arrived after dark, and our yurt was labeled with a sign near the door with our name on it. My first stay in a yurt - this one was incredibly homey! It had pretty much all the necessities of home and was more spacious than I expected. Think rustic "glam"ping. It's a bit pricey if you're on a budget and not needing all the comforts, but is a good value for what you get. If you have a larger group, price becomes more and more economical. I think it would be nice place for a family. There is a list of instructions, but was pretty straightforward. I caution ladies that the plumbing does not accept feminine hygiene products - there is a sign, but it's a bit high and I almost missed it. Slept great and enjoyed the amenities. We didn't spend much time outside of nighttime at the yurt, but the surroundings were nice. The only foible is that the description notes, "complimentary loaf of Sue's Homemade Specialty Bread," which I assumed to be sourdough. We instead received some very tasty blueberry muffins during our stay, and later learned "sourdough" is a term for a longtime Alaskan. The more you know!

I came in from the hotel, walked to the front, saw the "please wait to be seated" sign, and made the unfortunate decision to take it seriously. Several staff members passed by, tables were cleared and reset, and I remained standing there long enough to feel less like a guest and more like a design feature. Eventually, I pointed out that a table appeared to be available, which was met with the sort of response one usually reserves for deeply unreasonable requests. We were finally seated, our friends joined us, and the meal began with coffee that managed to be both hot and disappointing. My breakfast arrived cold, which at least gave it a certain consistency with the service. I wouldn't say the restaurant was terrible. That would suggest a level of energy it never quite reached. But it did deliver a breakfast experience notable for its ability to lower expectations one detail at a time.

Mistake... there was a tourist surge this weekend and they were full and they recommend we go to their sister hotel Gateway. I've been curious about this place since it was built recently. We got the last room. And let me tell you, what a sham. It charges the same fkng rates as Harbor 360 but is only a shadow of her. The rooms a clean and well kept and beds are comfy, but not worth the EXHORBITANT PRICES. For the same price I could be at Harbor with a pool, work out room, dock front view of the water and mountains, adequate parking, and nicer rooms with more amenities. Sigh. I wouldn't be so annoyed if the rooms were cheaper. Because the room is fine. But the fact that they charge the same price for something that offers significantly less services makes no sense. There isn't even enough parking here. There's no dresser for your clothing. The internet is slow as a slug. The water is blocks away. The microwave is on the 2nd floor (???? SO handy when im naked). Yeah, this set up is not worth 400 bucks during high season. Im glad im here during May and I got a local rate or I'd be IRATE.
