in feb 2020 the tires were replaced them, during the plandemic 2020/2021 tried to get my inspection sticker ran out oct 2020, i stood there watching him go over it and he told me what needed to be fixed (break hose). so had that done. then when i went to get it, he came up with another thing that had to be fixed, so in april of 2021 i replaced the battery with my oldest and her son's help since i couldn't drive it still no sticker and the battery was going dead (6 yrs old). then took it back in sept to get the sticker then he came up with another excuse, so took it home and said hell with it. well boy did i get a surprise of losing out on $3700 of being scammed and not only that i learned in aug/sept 2021 (last time of trying to get a sticker) that my front tire was flat (shouldn't have been since they were new and i didn't drive much once the sticker ran out) and the vehicle wouldn't start i had to boost the battery then it was fine, then 2-3 days later i go out to move it and the battery is dead again. it is like what the world, i checked the battery to make sure terminal were fine and tight, they were then i notices something it was not the battery i bought date on it was wrong and it was a totally different brand. same with the tires not even the same tires i had put on. so when my youngest bf came over he looked it over and come to find out jeff hoyts stole the new tires and battery and put old ones on. yeah all this and $3700 in the hole because i learned after that he was screwing everyone of his clients for that stimulus money people were getting, well i am on fixed income which i didn't have that kind of money to be stolen from. i also learned that jeff was hauled into court not sure if was the town because i found out from him that he was up a creek without paddle with the town or a customer took him to court because he screwed them over as well, here it is now 2026 and my vehicle is still sitting in the yard because he decided to screw me out of $3700, this is greed people. read more

Let me introduce all that read this to a guy who is far superior, far more honest, and far more reasonably priced than most car repair places that I have yet to witness in my car driving life. His name is Jeff Hoyt and he runs his little car repair shop next to his modest home. Unlike some high end shops with state of the art everything, he uses what works well for him as old and greasy as the tools may look. He has grease under his fingernails. I just don't trust a guy that doesn't look like he has been elbows deep in my car. He also isn't out to make millions. I doubt you will find him stacking up the coins and rubbing his hands together exclaiming: "money, money, money!" This guy just loves what he does and as far as I can tell just wants to help people and support himself and chubby calico cat. In all my experiences with him statements like "you don't need that done", "don't worry about paying me for doing a (quick) diagnoses", and "let me show you what is wrong" have always been part of the conversation. As a woman I have always felt like I have been targeted when it comes to car repair so being shown the problem and being told that there is no need for a $300.00 new part is very reassuring. He may be a little flighty on who you are when you show up though. I assure you he has you in the schedule and plans on working on your car, he's just not good with names and faces. There is no real waiting area so you have to get creative like me. I have put a blanket out back to hang out on, biked to work, or gone for a walk. You could also be less stubborn than myself and have someone pick you up. read more
