We got off on exit 6 and limped to an RV place that it turned out could not fix it because they didn't work on big vehicles. We called AAA and they said they'd send somebody out but it would take a little bit. By 6 o'clock Saturday morning no one came so we called AAA again. AAA again was going to send somebody out but as it turns out no one would come out and tow us. This is a tiny town so most places are closed on the weekend. Monday morning we started again bright and early calling around and working with AAA. Neither AAA nor us could find anyone to come tow us and I was starting to think this is how you become homeless. I mean there's no car rentals and there's no way to get out of here. AAA was calling all around for us and found Robertsons towing. I have to say everyone we met in this town was beyond nice and although this towing and repair company does not work on RVs they agreed to tow us to Cummings in SLC and AAA is taking care of it. The driver arrived within 30 minutes and even took a look at our air brakes but I think the problem is complicated and more involved. They have a mobile repair service and also a big shop for bigger problems as I was reading on the internet. They are a family owned business which I support 100%. He literally dropped everything he was doing, moved another car out of the garage that belonged to a local customer "who wasn't in a rush" and proceeded to diagnose and work on our car throughout the day. We were able to hit the road again in the afternoon and made it safely and without any more issues to Florida. Sunday afternoon I had contacted a number of mechanics asking them to contact me as soon as they got my message - I have yet to hear from any of them. I called every towing and repair shop in Evanston and nobody could help me out that night but Bozz got back to me and arranged to pick me up in the morning. Unfortunately, their shop Was booked up and couldn't get me in but they did get me over to the pilot repair shop who did get me in (but that's another 5star review!) so..first, great communication, they called me, texted me with ETA, I communicated with the driver directly so he knew what he was getting into without info getting lost in the shuffle ( I dig that). Second, Eli the driver rolled up and was super cool. Of course nothing goes perfectly like it does on Cascade Heavy Rescue (shout out Casey! We both hate you!!) but Eli, had skills and tools and I learned new stuff and I HELPED (...I think??) anyhow we jumper in the truck which had 7 million miles on it. Eli asked what music I like. I said country and western like a good American then the most country truckin song ever blasted out of the speakers. We talked about politics and religion and how Wyoming sucks to drive across until you find these amazingly beautiful pockets that make it all (most) worth it. And of course how frikin awesome pro Demo Derby is. Anyhow. ELI...AWESOME!!!!, BOZZ TOWING...AWSOME!!!! CHEVRON somewhere near Keemer with the empanadas ALSO AWESOME! I was riding my Harley this morning and BOOM the belt broke. I was stuck. I was so worried. Not…read moresure what I was going to do, or how I could even begin to make sure the bike and I got home safely. To make things even more difficult I am deaf. So easily calling someone is nearly out of the question. But just as my panic was starting to set in I noticed that a big yellow tow truck was behind me. As soon as he noticed my trouble, he pulled the big truck to the shoulder and hopped out of the cab. Walking up to me I tried to explain I was deaf. But to people who don't know sign language this usually has little to no affect. But this kind man seemed to understand immediately. He returned to his cab and grabbed paper and pen. This kind man took his time to communicate with me and make sure I understood he was there to help and not to worry, we would get the bike home. He worked his magic and got the bike on the back of the tow truck. He invited me in to the cab and scribbled "tell me how to get you home". I was able to direct him right to my house. He showed so much care getting the bike on and off the truck. I never once felt uncomfortable about scratching paint on any of the tins or dropping the bike (as a rider that seems to be our biggest phobia) After all was unloaded,and business taken care of, he hopped back in the cab and seemed to drive off into the sunset. I was still in disbelief of my horrible, yet perfect luck of the bike breaking when it did, when I realized I hadn't gotten the tow company name or information of this wonderful driver. So at this point. No name. No number. And realized I must have left my leather riding gloves in the cab of the truck. Oh well... I'll just need to buy some new gloves. End of story..... Or so I thought. Tonight while my boyfriend and I were wrapping up dinner with the kids he hears a knock at the door. He asked me "who would be coming over tonight?" As he opened the door I saw the same kind face that rescued me earlier in the day. In his hands were my gloves! He told us he didn't realize they were in the cab until later in the day, and was just now getting off work and was able to bring them back. I will forever be grateful to this man. His simple kindness and compassion has brightened my world. My family will always keep this in mind when helping others. He is truly amazing. I can say without a doubt that this single act of kindest and sincerity has made me become a loyal customer.. well not too much, I don't want my cars keep breaking down But I will for sure recommend you every time!
