What's cool is I'm actually in the area pretty often on Sundays because I go to a laundromat nearby, and it always looks like they're hosting a really solid brunch crowd. After seeing the vibe firsthand, I can definitely see that being a go-to brunch spot. They also keep things exciting throughout the week. Every Thursday at 7 PM, they host trivia with Jonathan from Quizzo -- six rounds covering different topics with chances to win prizes like gift cards. That's the kind of midweek plan that turns a regular Thursday into something to look forward to. And if that's not enough, axe throwing is part of the experience too, in partnership with Detroit Axe Ferndale. Axe throwing has seriously become one of the most fun social activities out right now, and having expert Axe Masters guide you through it makes it even better. They have a "gamemaster" who helps you select from the hundreds of games they have available. You can reserve a game table online in advance for $3 per person and that reserves you two hours of game play time. The restrooms are a little nightmarish. Literally in a dark, damp basement. There were plenty of games to choose from but as the night went on, we noticed a lot of machines either being out of order or wasn't working correctly (balls in some of the games weren't being returned despite there being plenty of time left. The human claw machine looked pretty cool but paying an additional $20, didn't seem like a great deal. After using up our card, we went over to redeem some tickets. I get why they have all the prizes/ tickets needed mixed in, but wish it went in some kind of order from the least to most amount of tickets needed.
