She was highly knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. The staff there were all so warm and welcoming as well, from check-in to various interactions. Having gone through this experience, having her be so calm throughout really helped prevent us from feeling overwhelmed or anxious throughout the process, given our difficulty with pregnancy prior to our visiting them. We felt confident that we were going to be in good hands. Each visit, we felt like we were there for a good amount of time, without rushing us through. Josephine truly made a lasting impression on us. She was kind, patient, and incredibly attentive, always checking in to make sure we understood instructions, medications, and next steps. They have signs posted at the elevators mentioning that while they love children, to please not bring them into the space as they can be a source of discomfort for folks having trouble conceiving. I was going back and forth a lot between Dr Quinn and this other fertility clinic my friend had gone thru and was successful! I'm so glad I chose to go with Dr Molly Quinn for this journey! She is very kind, compassionate, easy to talk to and she made sure we felt comfortable thruout the process and answered all our trillions questions! The entire team runs so smoothly compared to any other clinic I have been to! Everyone responds very promptly, appointments are in and out quick and really felt taken care of! My nurse Jolene was also amazing who would follow up on my emails and any concern I had right away! I had a little complication and I was able to reach the doctor at 6 pm on a Sunday without hassle which is not something you would find with many doctors! I also ran out of my egg retrieval med due to delayed FedEx and another nurse Jospehine reached out to me to again on a weekend and were able to accommodate me with meds so my egg retrieval doesn't have to be cancelled! We especially appreciated her honesty and evidence-based approach. She never gave false hope, but she also respected our preferences and empowered us to advocate for ourselves. She would present the facts, give her recommendation, and ultimately let us decide what felt right for us. She was also incredibly responsive and committed to her patients -- one thing that really stood out was that she came in on her weekend off to personally do my first retrieval. We also loved working with her coordinator, Josephine. Fertility treatment can be so stressful, and Josephine's kindness, responsiveness, and organization made a difference. She was always quick to respond, on top of everything, and genuinely comforting throughout the process. HRC is a large, high-volume clinic, which can sometimes feel overwhelming to navigate, but we ultimately chose them because we valued their experience and expertise. Finally found the right guy and finished the process by traveling back-and-forth for a frozen embryo transfer at the age of 45 (!!!). I had one of the most upsetting and degrading medical experiences at this clinic. I initially came in for an event and met a doctor I liked, which made me feel hopeful about moving forward with egg freezing. I was told I needed to lose weight before starting, not due to any medical condition, but because of the surgical center they use. Trusting their guidance, I spent an entire year losing 50 pounds. After losing the weight, I was genuinely excited to share my progress. I emailed the clinic right away and even went out of my way to complete a full body scan so I could provide the most accurate results possible. I shared a screenshot of my documented results with them so everything was clearly communicated. When I returned for a "required" anesthesia consult, things took a turn. I was never told at any point to prepare to be weighed during this visit, so what happened next completely blindsided me. I was brought into the surgical center, which is attached to the office, and placed in an open room where patients were actively coming out of surgical procedures. What stood out immediately was that a scale was already placed there, clearly set up and waiting. This did not appear to be standard equipment for the room. In fact, I checked, and none of the other rooms had a scale. It felt like it had been placed there specifically for me. Despite already being weighed and having my weight documented, and having already provided detailed results, the nurse insisted I be weighed again right there in front of others. I was mortified and had a full on panic attack. When I declined due to how uncomfortable and exposed I felt, I was told I would not be allowed to proceed. This conversation about my body, my eligibility for care, and my personal health information was happening in a public setting with other patients present. This raises serious concerns about patient privacy and potential HIPAA violations. For additional context, this situation was especially distressing for me as someone who has struggled with eating disorders, including anorexia and bulimia, for most of my life. Being put in that position, in a public setting, without warning, was not just uncomfortable, it was triggering and deeply upsetting. I repeatedly asked to be moved to a private room and requested a manager. No manager was ever provided. After continued pushback, I was finally taken into a closed room. At that point, the situation completely changed. The anesthesiologist had no issue seeing me and did not understand why the nurse had made weighing me at that moment a condition of care. After reviewing my medical history, with no respiratory, cardiac, or surgical risks, I was cleared without issue. She even questioned why they were trying to weigh me! This made it clear that the situation was not handled appropriately. The scale appeared to be intentionally set up in advance. The demand to weigh me in a public setting was not medically necessary. A nurse attempted to deny or delay care based on her own directive. Sensitive health discussions were conducted in a way that compromised patient privacy. I ultimately sought care elsewhere, and the difference was night and day. With my new doctor, weight was never a factor and I was never required to be weighed. I was treated as an individual, not a number, and no unnecessary anesthesia consult was required because there was no medical basis for one. I am happy to say I successfully froze my eggs and had above average results hormone levels AMH egg quality etc for my age despite this clinic giving me an average spiel that I wouldn't because why they were treating me like a number not an individual. What I learned is this. Fertility care should be individualized, respectful, and grounded in actual medical need, not blanket policies or assumptions. I cannot help but think about the year I lost trying to meet a requirement that was never truly necessary. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend this place, and I strongly suggest seeking care elsewhere. I also want to note that the discounted "specials" advertised by this clinic appear to be tied to the use of newer doctors performing procedures. I now understand why they run specials and why they charge for consult and why they have events to offer free services. My doctor doesn't need to do any of that because his reputation proceeds him & this alone speaks volumes about this place. Unfortunately, this place completely traumatized me, but I'm glad I stood up for myself and was able to find fertility care elsewhere. I will always advocate for patients especially myself , and I hope others feel empowered to do the same. You have rights as a patient, and you deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and proper care. read more

Continued... Literally every single time I speak with someone there, they are confused. Even when I repeat my doctor's instructions verbatim, they still don't understand what I'm asking for. They constantly try to pass me off to someone else, tell me to call back, or say my information is incorrect. I'm repeatedly told their "procedures," even though I explain every time that I am not a new patient and that I'm simply trying to follow the instructions my doctor gave me. Every single interaction turns into the same cycle: I explain the instructions from my doctor. They say it can't be done, the information is wrong, or the appointment can't be scheduled that way. Then after multiple calls and several days of back-and-forth, they eventually figure it out and book it exactly the way it should have been done in the first place. It's incredibly frustrating, especially because these issues are time-sensitive. While I was there, I also overheard staff saying they had mailed the wrong specimens to clients, which honestly didn't inspire confidence. Considering how organized and efficient Kaiser usually is, it's mind-boggling that they have partnered with this organization. I've literally had to call them with a Kaiser nurse on a three-way call multiple times, and even then we sometimes couldn't get through or no one was available to take the call. Absolutely horrible experience. If you want, I can also show you a slightly sharper "Google/Yelp style" version that tends to get more attention and impact in reviews while still keeping your voice. read more

I mention this because I really dislike having my blood drawn, and throughout the process, which requires frequent bloodwork, they made it as easy and stress-free as possible. I want to start by thanking Dr. McDaniel. My experience at HRC Pasadena was truly exceptional because of her care and expertise. I first began visiting HRC Pasadena last October after attending one of her seminars, where she clearly explained the differences between IVF and IUI. She was incredibly knowledgeable and made the information easy to understand. Initially, I underwent an IUI cycle, which unfortunately was not successful. IVF was recommended, but at the time I didn't have the insurance coverage to move forward. Once everything was in place, she helped fast-track the process so I could begin IVF without unnecessary delays. This review is for embryologists at HRC Pasadena, especially Tih and Alison. I had egg freezing at HRC Pasadena in 2018, when the clinic was at its old Arroyo Parkway address. I saw Alison a couple times in the hallway when I was there for monitoring appointments, and chatted with her. Her professional, warm, and kind demeanor impressed me. I felt well connected with Alison. I also met Tih once, in the parking garage, when he guided me backing up my car. He was humble. I did not know he was the IVF lab director until I found a picture of the embryology team on HRC website. My eggs were stored at HRC Pasadena till April 2025, when they were transported to another clinic for fertilization and embryo culture. I requested to talk with Tih over the phone twice, before transporting my eggs out. In the first time, he called me ~10 min after the manager confirmed that my request was sent to Tih. In the second time, we were scheduled to talk at 9:00 am, and he called me at 9:00 am sharp. His commitment to patients and punctuality increased my trust in the IVF lab under his leadership. We spoke for about 30 minutes each time. He was knowledgeable, professional, and humble as before. I was very appreciative of the insights and advices that he offered. On my egg transport day, when Alison handed the tank with my frozen eggs to the cryo transport professional, I recognized her immediately. I asked her whether they were really my eggs. She said "I am 100% sure". And I trusted her. Her professional, warm, and kind demeanor never changed. The two MII eggs were thawed, fertilized, and cultured to beautiful embryos. I had a great experience working with the amazing Dr. Molly Quinn and her team, especially Alondra for my IVF journey. The entire HRC team is very organized and professional, yet compassionate and positive. Communication has been very prompt over email (phone call is less effective because they can be very busy with patients during the day). They answer all my questions within a couple of hours over email. In person appointment does not usually incur more than 5-10min wait if you arrive a bit early for your appointment. There are usually free street parking on Hudson or Colorado if you arrive by 9am. The facility is very elegantly designed and maintained and feels like the state-of-art (although I have not been to other clinic). The environment is calming and yet discreet. Working with Maria on financial matters has been a breeze. She simplifies everything for you and I can usually get her on the phone to discuss complex insurance issues. The nurses and doctors here are overall kind. However, when I went for my retrieval day as a donor I go to sign in. I was going to ask about my appointment but all the girls at the front were talking and braiding each other's hair. When I finally get a chance to ask, she said "you signed the wrong sign in sheet". Sorry, I did not know nor was I able to ask because all of you were busy talking to each other. Also how was I supposed to know there were different sign in sheets? My procedure went smoothly but I wish they had better recovery time and procedures. I asked for a heating pad which I feel could have helped but they said they didn't have any. I felt rushed being discharged as I was having bad cramps. They didn't really ask how I was doing, and I'm guessing because they're busy they discharge you fast. My companion also said the clerk checking her in was not the kindest. They act like you're bothering them or you should know where to go/what to do. Overall the attitude was not warranted especially when I just went through a procedure and am new to the clinic. I don't know if they treat all clients this way but being polite is not such a hard thing to do. read more

I had my procedure back in April of this year and have been meaning to leave a review of my experience at HRC Pasadena and show some love to Dr. Quinn, Josephine, Jolene, the rest of the Quinn team, the nurse that helped me on the day of my procedure, and the sweet phlebotomists I met with each week. This review has been long overdue as I am one of the fortunate ones to be enjoying the exhausting days of being a new mom. It's taken a while to come up with a review because I truly feel nothing I can possibly say can express the gratitude and love I have for Dr. Kolb and his team as well as the entire HRC fertility staff. My husband and I had the privilege of working with Dr. Bradford Kolb and his team. Being a busy independent retail pharmacy owner and the wife of an active duty air force military man stationed overseas, I was supported by Dr. Kolb, his nurse Vikki, and the rest of the HRC fertility staff. For a year plus, I was greeted with warmth and empathy. Dr. Kolb and Vikki were always upfront with risks, success probabilities, and a plan of action to help our family with the best results. As difficult as infertility was, I'm happy I entered the process with an open mind and understanding the opportunity of having a baby was still a matter of chance and an act of greater power. However, I knew I had a dedicated team creating a plan of action to increase our success rate. From the moment I stepped off the elevator, I was always greeted by name and with the warm smiles of the front desk. I would be peptalked through the blood draws by the beautiful phlebotomists. Vikki, Dr. Kolb, and his nurse practitioner Katy would be there for me at every visit to encourage me and give me the support I needed going through the process mostly on my own while the husband was deployed. The financial team would also be at checkout to give me a "gambate." I have to say for over a year they made me feel like family. They made me feel taken care of. They made me feel like my case mattered and my success and happiness was personal to them. They have welcomed my visits post my successful graduation at 10 weeks, and I plan to visit when my little one is about 4 months old and pretty much safely vaccinated. Anyone experiencing infertility, I understand how difficult the journey is; but with an open mind, you will find an amazing experience working in great partnership with Dr. Kolb's team and the teams at HRC fertility center. Answered my questions even during thanksgiving break and at night. They are always working! It can get a little overwhelming with all the meds but she explained them all perfectly and patiently. I am so grateful for Dr Molly Quinn and her nurse, Josephine Lai who were both in charge of my care for my entire egg freezing (cryopreservation) experience. They were always so nice and patient with me even when I feel like I had a lot of questions and were there to address any potential concerns that I had. I really appreciate their understanding and it is so so so very important for a woman to have a team that can be patient, understanding, willing at any moment to help address her needs or concerns, and make her feel comfortable like this during a journey as personal and significant as this. I did two rounds with them back to back and I am so glad that I did. Dr Quinn doesn't just focus on quantity like some facilities might just to give the impression of higher numbers, she focuses just as much on the quality of the resulting eggs as well and doesn't want to sacrifice quality for the sake of just producing many eggs that end up not being viable (which had happened to a close friend of mine who went to another facility, my friend had went to another facility/company that overstimulated her and got a very large number of eggs, only to end up with hardly any that were mature enough because they went overboard on trying to get high egg numbers). Please don't let this happen to you, focus on quality results as well and do your research. That is how I found Dr Quinn in the first place, I researched many different doctors at HRC and decided that Dr Quinn would be the best and most comfortable choice for me. I want to also mention some additional staff members who also delivered really nice care and made me feel comfortable/always had such a great attitude. Brigitt (I think that's how you spell her name) at the front desk (she is one of the clinical coordinators) was always so sweet, greeted you with a very welcoming/warm demeanor, and made sure that you were taken care of if you needed anything at all. Marta, the pre-op nurse at RSA (the operating room that works directly with HRC in the same floor/facility) was the most amazing pre-op nurse and made sure I felt physically, mentally, and emotionally comfortable and at my very best on the big day. I also want to add that if you work for USC or certain other companies (I say certain other companies because I referred a friend of mine over to Dr Molly Quinn and now she is seeing Dr Quinn as well for egg freezing and it turns out that her insurance also fully covered her as well!), that they are contracted with HRC and offer fertility benefits that alot of people are not aware they even have! USC and those other companies covers $10,000 for any fertility related benefits and an additional $16,000 for any of those medications! So please call your insurance just in case to see if there are benefits like this. I had seen several other companies and big names before this for egg freezing consultations and HRC was the only one that contracted with insurances and they were just as professional. Did I also mention that the aesthetics of their place is beautiful ? For parking, type in the address for HRC fertility in Pasadena on Google Maps and then you're going to turn into the main parking structure that it directs you to, get a ticket from the machine and park anywhere on or above the third floor (if you see benches and tables somewhere on the very side looking over the outside edge on the left as you're driving upwards, then you're in the right place! It should be right above the floor that says "Parking for Chase customers". Then you're going to walk towards those benches I mentioned, and on the corner of those benches you'll walk around to the other side and see the elevators where you'll take it down to the first floor and walk straight ahead into the building right in front of you afterwards and the front desk concierge or security will let you up to the 9th floor where HRC is. If you are coming on the big day of your procedure (egg retrieval day or any other procedure) early in the morning on a weekend (whenever the parking structure entrance is closed), the easiest way to go about this is to have your ride pick you up or drop you off at LeGrand restaurant (because you'll need a ride for surgery or procedure day! They won't allow you to drive back alone afterwards for your safety) since LeGrand is literally right next to the door where you'll be coming in and out from the day of your procedure (the front desk concierge or security should always be there to let you in as usual even if it's super early at like 0600am).
