I only had the chance to go through one cycle of IUI with Dr. Norian. The team was great and there were no issues with the IUI process. After testing negative for pregnancy, they told me they would reach out to schedule a consultation with him to talk about what we should do next. My next cycle comes around and I haven't had any calls or emails, so I reached out again and they said they'd call me soon. That was over a month ago and I haven't heard a peep from HRC. Not sure what happened, but it's not very professional to keep a patient hanging and in the dark like that. I really like having a dedicated coordinator who will answer my questions and give me full instructions. I never felt like I had to guess what was next, because they communicated everything. I told Josephine about the stress I had previously from schedule conflicts, and she suggested a Random start protocol, which 100% removed all scheduling stress. We've been seeing Dr. Molly Quinn, who is extremely attentive, smart, caring, and thorough in her care. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains her clinical reasoning behind things, and practices evidence-based medicine. She has also gone out of her way each and every time to tailor a treatment protocol for my specific case and adjusted meds or protocols according to how each cycle has gone. Dr. Quinn's whole team is also extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and supportive in guiding us along. We've mostly worked with Josephine Lai and she's been extremely helpful and kind, keeping us on top of our things and making sure nothing is missed. She responds to all emails extremely fast and clearly. I would recommend Dr. Quinn and her whole team! Also want to give recognition to the Lab and Embryology team, as well as the Surgery center staff. The lab is very high tech and you can tell they truly prioritize the quality and care of all the eggs/sperm/embryos they handle and store there. We had been trying for several years to have a child - I went to several other doctors and clinics previously with no success. At this point, I had reached the age where some clinics probably would no longer even do an embryo transfer with me. For my 4th attempt, I was referred to Dr Quinn and was initially nervous if this would work, as we knew from embryo testing that this one was not perfect. Dr Quinn went out of her way to answer my questions, and that gave me the comfort I needed to continue. Dr Quinn had a slightly different protocol for me than the other doctors, and this time I ended up pregnant! However, my first trimester was a difficult one, with several serious issues popping up. Dr Quinn and her nurse Jolene were very quick to respond and provide advice when I had urgent medical issues. In two cases, I had to go to urgent care on a weekend, and Dr Quinn was immediately accessible both times to weigh in on the plan of treatment. The pregnancy proceeded without issue, and my little girl is going to be 6 months old this week, and she is just perfect! I am so grateful that Dr Quinn took a chance on me despite my age and my less than favorable embryo test results. Navigating infertility and trying to figure out what to do is already emotional and stressful enough, but coming to HRC Pasadena and seeing Dr. Quinn and Josephine Lai made the best of the situation. Dr. Quinn is kind, sensitive, optimistic, but also realistic. That's pretty much everything I could've asked for in a fertility doctor. She never sugar coated anything but she also never tried to upsell me on anything I didn't need while still thoroughly explaining anything she recommended. She communicated well and I felt like I understood everything that she was doing. Josephine Lai was her nurse coordinator. She was always extremely quick to respond via email and made scheduling so easy. She was caring and invested in my treatments and I always felt like I could rely on her, so I knew what my next steps were. HRC Pasadena is very clean. Because Dr. Quinn worked on the USC side, I hardly ever had to wait that long. Billing is a bit complicated but not more than it is with any other health care. They assign you a financial coordinator and I think that made the process so much smoother. Nancy answered all my questions, and I had a lot. The phlebotomists that work there are THE BEST. I had so many blood draws over 3 years and the 2 women that worked there were always accurate, quick, and painfree. Overall, I can't say enough good things about coming here. Of course, treatments and options may not work for everyone, but knowing that the level of care you receive is intentional, sensitive, and practical is priceless. read more

We started our IVF/FET journey late May 2024. That is when we met with Dr. Quinn for an initial consultation. Immediately, she was kind, knowledgable, very smart, and understanding of our situation. After identifying what could be the issue, they created a plan for us and everyone was ready to hit the ground running. HRC looks very elegant and fancy appearance wise. But the organization is horrible. First, I felt super rushed and feel like a number when I spoke with Dr. Wilcox. He tells you what you want to hear and even his spiel feels very rehearsed. Then, when we had the ultrasound done, he told me i can do iui but I'm not a candidate for ivf and recommended I get an egg donor or adopt since I have low follicle count. And that he's just trying to save me money. I told a few friends with successful infertility treatments about my consultation and they thought it didn't make sense because you do IVF due to low follicle count. And really all you need is that one egg! Anyways, we got a second opinion with another infertility specialist. The second option doctor was able to guess what Dr. Wilcox's recommendations were for me. Dr. Wilcox wants to go through with IVF based on numbers so he can keep good success rates. Also, it's been a few weeks since my email has gone unanswered with our clinical coordinator. We decided to move forward with a different infertility doctor and clinic. We can't give money to a practice that won't answer our emails on time and can't be reliable. Also the other doctor is genuine and compassionate, gave us an individualized treatment plan, and gave us honest answers. Normally I don't write something personal like this, but hoping this gives some insight to anyone who is thinking of this clinic. read more

This place was mediocre. They had us fill out 50 pages of release forms, and confirmed our appointment about 12 times via emails, phone calls and texts. Far too much correspondence. Once we arrived 30 minutes early, as directed, we remained waiting until we'll after our 11am appointment. The staff kept getting confused as to who was the patient and who was the partner. Not too hard to understand since I'm the female looking one of the couple, and my partner presents as sounds non-binary. Our Dr. was nice enough, but I don't feel like she took time to answer questions and listen to my concerns. I felt rushed. I left with instructions to order tests from my general Gyno, in order to save money. The next day we had a phone call to discuss financials. The person on the phone was not clear as to which tests I should get with my separate doctor, and which ones I should wait to do with them. She basically said 2,5000.$ for IUI.... In which WE provide the sperm. HRC doesn't provide or sell sperm. 30,000.00$ for IVF. I have zero infertility issues, as I'm just here because my partner is a bio female, so we will most likely do IUI. There aren't a lot of options for fertility clinics, and god help you if you require IVF. I don't know how they sleep at night with those prices. The waiting room was ostentatious and the staff was cold and confused. With a Ridiculously decorated waiting room, I wonder what are they trying to make up for here? Probably the fact that with 30,000$ they can only give you a 10~20% chance at a viable pregnancy. Yikes! read more

Update: we have a child. How you say. Well they told my wife finally 35 that her tubes were plugged. We got scared, we thought it's over, started brainstorming and thought, "there's gotta be someone that unplugs this". We found someone. It's called recanalization, we got it done and to help the cause went with a doctor to do artificial insemination. Yes recanaliztion unplugged her tubes, and went right away to so the artificial insemination. We thought, why tf didn't mr Kolb inform us of that?!?' sure he will .. So blessed we got pregnant in November 2022, his name is Raphael and we thank god all the time for our newborn baby boy. read more

My husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We've tried naturally for about a year and a half without any success. We did 5 rounds of IUI's with Kaiser, but that was also failed attempts. Soon after we decided to do IVF as I was switching insurance. At first we went to Fertility Care of Orange County, but the service was absolutely horrible there. We did our research for a different Dr. and stumpled upon HRC with Dr. Kolb. We came in for a consultation and was so impressed by Dr. Kolb. The service received at HRC compared to Fertility Care of Orange County was like night and day.
