Deeply Disappointed with Life IVF - Please Read Before You Choose This Clinic…read more I normally don't write reviews, but after my experience with Life IVF (Arcadia & Irvine locations), I felt it was important to share in hopes of helping others avoid what we went through. We started our IVF journey at the Arcadia location, expecting a full-service clinic. What we quickly found out is that there is no doctor on-site--all procedures, including retrieval and transfer, are done 45+ miles away in Irvine with Dr. Yelian. The only doctor at Arcadia was Dr. Johnson, who only offered brief telephone consultations. During my treatment, I never saw a doctor in person until the day of egg retrieval and embryo transfer. That alone was unsettling. What made it worse was after my egg retrieval, Dr. Yelian mentioned I should look into adenomyosis--which was incredibly disheartening since that was the main reason I was pursuing IVF to begin with. It was clear he hadn't even reviewed my file. I felt like just another number in a system that prioritized volume over care. Following the procedure, I experienced severe pain that required a trip to the ER. Not a single nurse or doctor from Life IVF followed up with me, asked how I was doing, or offered any aftercare guidance. The lack of compassion was astounding. Then, after our first embryo transfer failed, I wasn't even informed by a doctor. Instead, a nurse casually told me the transfer didn't take--without even checking if my husband was present to support me. She offered no next steps, and it took three days of me calling repeatedly to finally get a callback from Dr. Yelian. After everything, I made the decision to transfer my remaining embryos to another clinic. Shockingly, Dr. Yelian tried to scare me during the required phone call by saying other clinics might "put the wrong embryo into you." I was appalled that a doctor would say such a thing--clearly a fear tactic, and highly unprofessional. In the end, we found a new IVF clinic, where we received thoughtful care and attention. We had a successful first transfer and now have a healthy and happy 1-year-old. It's taken me time to write this review as I've been busy with our preemie and adjusting to new motherhood, but I can't stay silent. People deserve to know what they're walking into. If you're considering Life IVF in Arcadia or Irvine, please be cautious. There is zero continuity of care, minimal doctor interaction, and very little compassion shown throughout the process. Your fertility journey is too important to entrust to a clinic that treats patients like numbers on a spreadsheet.

I am writing this review to provide an impartial account of my experience, independent of the…read moreclinical outcome. My wife and I were referred here via Kaiser. While we understood that IVF is a complex process, our experience was defined by a lack of guidance, transactional interactions, and poor communication. Initial Consultations and Onboarding Our journey began with a confident in-person consultation. However, I found it concerning that the doctor did not review our labs or medical history during this meeting. As first-time IVF patients, the terminology and contracts were overwhelming. The "welcome call" intended to explain the paperwork was unhelpful; the staff member was difficult to understand, and the specifics regarding the limitations of our plan were not clearly articulated. Communication and Administrative Hurdles The first major issue occurred after our first round. When our embryo testing came back "inconclusive," we received a brief email and one missed call. When I attempted to return the call five minutes later, I was told I had to schedule a formal doctor's appointment. To speak with someone within 24 hours, an additional fee was required; otherwise, we had to wait 72 hours. After a series of missed connections and scheduling errors on the clinic's part, we finally spoke to a doctor, but received no "next steps" or expert guidance--simply an instruction to return when we were ready. Financial Transparency and "Transactional" Care During the second round, we were blindsided by unexpected charges. We were told mid-appointment that we owed $500 because we had exceeded a set number of visits for the extraction period. This "per-visit" fee was buried in the contract and never verbally highlighted during onboarding. When we filed a complaint, a different doctor acknowledged that communication was a recurring issue with their newer staff. However, the subsequent "clarification" of our contract felt cold. We were explicitly told that the clinic's low-cost business model does not allow for "hand-holding." It was even suggested that other clinics would not take our case or would simply "drain us" of money--a statement we found ironic, as that was exactly how we felt at this facility. Final Assessment The service throughout was strictly transactional. There were no follow-ups, no strategic game plans, and no expert consultations to review why a round failed or how to improve the next. To this day, we have not had a follow-up conversation with the doctor regarding our last round. While some staff members are pleasant, the overarching culture treats patients as numbers on a checklist. If you are looking for a partnership or a medical team that provides professional guidance and empathy, you may want to look elsewhere. Here, the expectation is clear: provide payment, and the clinic will perform the task, but do not expect any support beyond the bare minimum.

From the initial consult, throughout our entire journey til we got a positive result, they guided us through every step of the way with the utmost professionalism. I have heard horror stories of it being impossible to reach staff at other clinics. You will NOT have this issue at CARE and that is so, so important with such a sensitive topic as fertility. The entire staff from Dr. Q, Nancy, Sandy, Jennifer, Kate, Morgan and everyone there became like family to us and we are so grateful they were there through the whole process and cannot wait for them to meet our little one next June!

From the very beginning, we had an amazing experience. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. She was very communicative and even let me know when she'd be out of the office and connected me with another nurse/coordinator, Genesis, who was also fantastic. We had multiple tests done, and Dr. Thomas was very clear and direct about what the results meant. She suggested we do an IUI, and to our surprise, we got pregnant on the first try! The IUI process was clearly communicated every step of the way. Dr. Thomas is very straightforward and professional, we really appreciated her communication style/"bedside manner". Thank you CARE Fertility for everything!

We…read morewere both 30 years old, healthy, and never imagined we would face challenges with egg retrievals and embryo freezing. I found Dr. Quinn through a recommendation in a Facebook group, and it may be the best recommendation I've ever received. She is, without question, the best doctor I've ever had. My wife and I often joke that we wish she could be our primary care physician because we would trust her with absolutely everything. She is incredibly knowledgeable, but what truly sets her apart is her compassion. She is the most empathetic physician I've ever met. Early in our journey, we learned that my wife had very low ovarian reserve despite being quite young. Suddenly, the path we thought would be simple became much more difficult and uncertain. Over the course of her treatment, we completed four retrievals. We had success with our first retrieval, experienced disappointment with our second and third, and recently completed our fourth. We were overjoyed to learn that we now have three frozen embryos from my wife's retrievals and this part of our journey has finally come to a close. Anyone who has gone through fertility treatment knows it can be an emotional, painful, and often lonely experience. Throughout every setback, every anxious wait, and every difficult conversation, Dr. Quinn, her nurse Josephine, and the entire HRC Fertility team treated us with kindness, patience, and genuine care. They made an incredibly challenging process feel as manageable and painless as possible. I cannot thank Dr. Quinn, Josephine, and the entire HRC team enough. They helped us through one of the most difficult experiences of our lives, and we'll always be grateful for their expertise, support, and compassion.

The entire team runs so smoothly compared to any other clinic I have been to! Everyone responds very promptly, appointments are in and out quick and really felt taken care of! My nurse Jolene was also amazing who would follow up on my emails and any concern I had right away! I had a little complication and I was able to reach the doctor at 6 pm on a Sunday without hassle which is not something you would find with many doctors! I also ran out of my egg retrieval med due to delayed FedEx and another nurse Jospehine reached out to me to again on a weekend and were able to accommodate me with meds so my egg retrieval doesn't have to be cancelled! She even followed up with me next day to check on me. This level of genuine care is very hard to fine, therefore I recommend Dr Molly Quinn to everyone. She is truly the best out there!

Dr Gau made up for it though, I think she's taking over a lot of Dr Roses patients and I think Dr Rose chose well. Though I've only met Dr Gau once, she still made it a point to make it feel like she was happy to see me and has the same sort of interested, attentive, confident posture that Dr Rose has. I would highly recommend this office, because of Dr Rose and Dr Gau. We raised these concerns during her prenatal care, but Dr. Rose attributed the changes to my wife's diet. At eight months pregnant, my wife's blood pressure suddenly skyrocketed. We went to the ER, where we were told she had preeclampsia and that our baby needed to be delivered that same day. Our son was born a month early by C-section. Thankfully, he is healthy and growing strong. Looking back, I strongly believe the warning signs should have been taken more seriously and investigated further rather than being attributed to diet. The experience left me feeling that my wife and son were put at unnecessary risk. Another major concern with this practice is the lack of continuity of care. My wife was not consistently seen by the same doctor throughout her pregnancy, which made the care feel fragmented and, in our experience, contributed to concerns being overlooked or not followed up on appropriately. This was one of the most frightening experiences our family has ever gone through. I would encourage any expecting mother experiencing sudden swelling, rapid weight gain, high blood pressure, or other concerning changes to advocate strongly for herself and seek immediate medical attention if she feels something is wrong.

I paid over $300 for a prenatal massage here and left feeling frustrated and completely unsatisfied. I came in specifically for lower back pain relief, and despite asking the therapist at least four times to use more pressure, the massage stayed extremely light the entire time. I've had many massages, including prenatal ones, so I know my expectations are reasonable. What made it worse was how my requests were handled. At one point the therapist told me that "if you haven't had a massage in a while your nerves might be asleep," which felt dismissive and didn't really make sense. She then said she would "just press and hold in places" rather than actually massage. That's not what I paid for, especially at this price point. It was clear she was inexperienced, and while everyone starts somewhere, a specialized prenatal setting with premium pricing isn't the place for that learning curve. When I followed up afterward, I was quickly passed off to a business manager via text with very little acknowledgment of my concerns. Their own receptionist had already admitted the therapist was new and less experienced, so the lack of follow-through felt tone-deaf. The owner did eventually offer a full refund, but the way it was handled felt even more dismissive, basically making it clear I wasn't welcome back. Overall this experience was overpriced, underwhelming, and poorly handled from start to finish. I would not return.
