I had received a positive referral to see Dr. Brodsky but decided to cancel my appointment on the spot because of Sara/Sarah. This is really an unfortunate way to turn off new patients.

When I saw Dr. Dowdle for a trigger thumb, he gave me a cortisone injection in the wrong place! I…read moretried to tell him he had numbed my palm instead of the base of my thumb, and as I was talking, he jabbed me anyway. It hurt so much I involuntarily flinched and grabbed my hand away, but he kept injecting me anyway. My middle finger went numb instead of my thumb. When I told him, he said that was normal and not to worry. Needless to say, the injection did nothing for my thumb. Later, when I went to a different doctor, she gave me the injection in the right place and my thumb went numb like it's supposed to from the lidocaine. The second doctor told me it usually takes two injections for the trigger thumb to heal but because I had technically already been injected once, I could only get one more injection. Needless to say, I still have my trigger thumb, although it is a little less painful. Dr. Dowdle wasted an injection and tried to tell me everything was fine when it wasn't.

I used to recommend this practice to friends, but can no longer do so. They were acquired by WESTMED medical group and it has been a nightmare ever since. It now has become a business and there is no more personal touch at all. It routinely takes over 6 minutes to make an appointment....lines are long to check in and out.....PT is rushed and you are made to feel like you are part of a business instead of a medical practice where people actually care if you receive good care. Dr. Z is a great leader of this practice and has created a full service practice that is way more than just adjustments. The roller bed to lengthen the spine, electro stim and adjustment. Also they have a physical therapist, Rhea, that is fantastic at helping the patient understand how to help themselves keep the adjustments. Dr. Dave is attentive and caring. This is a great practice.
