He then blocked me and when I got a new number he just ignored me with read receipts.He had assured me that he was confident in his ability to find me and my children a house and I understand things happen but he then stopped communicating with me when he saw that he couldn't live up to his promises . The owner went to Korea for a planned 3-month trip but returned early because "work wasn't going well." If he had stayed, would we not have received our deposit at all? The owner's personal travel plans should have no effect on our legal right to a timely return, as required by Georgia law. What made it worse was the attitude. Sunny told us we'd understand "once we become homeowners"--a comment we found condescending and irrelevant, especially since we have been homeowners. Daniel Lee was also slow to respond and dismissive, hiding behind legal language instead of offering clear communication. After my father spoke with them, they did apologize but the unprofessionalism and stress we went through were unacceptable. We expected better from a company we once trusted.

It is almost 90 degrees outside so we are very uncomfortable. The one conversation we had, we were told it was not an emergency because we didn't have a baby. Our entire experience with the company has been poor. Their lease is ridiculous and borderline egregious, as are most places so that we could get past. But that coupled with terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE, service makes it just not worth it. If you have any other options I highly recommend going with a different company. Tenants who pay their rent on-time and never have any issues should be able to get their AC fixed asap. Very dissapointed.

But after my experience, I'm really glad I made the move to Rent Appeal. Communication has been great, everything has been handled professionally, and it's taken a real weight off my shoulders as a landlord.
