Tommy just came through for us again. My son Eric was driving the old Tahoe and started noticing a coolant leak. He diagnosed it as a water pump and we gave Eric the number for Quantum. Tommy took it in, diagnosed it as a shot water pump and gave me a quote with options for replacing with an original Chevy part or a less expensive aftermarket that he knew to be reliable. Frankly, the quote was hundreds less than I expected. I am a fairly decent mechanic and would gladly pay his quoted price. He got the work done the day he was able to diagnose the problem. On time, exactly as quoted and functioning perfectly. I have recommended Quantum to friends for a decade and they all agree that you get honest work done right at a fair price. Engine wasn't starting immediately after turning the key. They performed their analysis and recommended a new starter and battery cables, for which they wanted to charge me $1,400+. I previously had the MC there for the same problem and, after $400+ in analysis charges, it was a $20 gas cap. Wanting a second opinion, I scheduled an appointment with Quantum. Due to their high volume of work, I had to wait 2-1/2 weeks, but the wait was well worth it. Tommy, the owner, looked at the battery cables and starter and said there was no problem with them. However, apparently some General Motors vehicles have this starting problem. Not enough fuel is getting to the fuel injectors when the key is turned. He pressure-checked the fuel pump and found it to be the problem. Rather than spending $1,200+, he showed me how to ensure the injectors have enough fuel so the engine will start on the first turn of the key. I've had cars serviced over 50+ years and Tommy is the first mechanic that took his time to fully explain the issue and the solution. He knows what he's doing and most importantly, he's honest. You can't go wrong with Quantum Mechanix.

So took the truck to Ferris Truck Repair we were told that…read morethey are a 24-hour repair service location. However, that's not the case and we were billed for work that was. shotty. We took the truck paid the $ 4600 dollar bill and left. not even a month later truck broke down for the same exact thing. we broke down in San Antonio Tx. the Rude lady in the office who the owner has doing his dirty work answered and said that we should have the truck towed back to Ferris Tx and that they would look at it so basically i would have to pay a 4k tow bill to have them look at it. so, my truck is currently at another shop in San Antonio Tx and have a written statement from a couple different mechanics and once truck gets repaired, we will be getting our attorney on this and take legal action against the shop i do not recommend. this shop if you want professional shop take it elsewhere. I am sure they will try to reply with a bunch of BS but i guess that's what happens when you're like a used car salesmen.

We got there and the price had changed again and it still did not work. So we left again and waited several more weeks. They called again and said it was ready. When we got there he wasn't there and the price had changed once more. Half of the things still did not work. We could not get a refund for the items not fixed. He would not give us the keys until we paid more money. He told us then that we didn't know what we were talking about and that in Texas the auto mechanic can do anything they want and you have no recourse. We were forced to leave and leave our motorhome there. He said he had a lawyer on standby at all times. We were told to take the mo9torhome and not bother him anymore and pay him more money. At this time he has the motorhome and will not give us any of our money back unless we give him more money. We started all of this so it would be fixed and we could sell it because we are elderly, living on social security only and we needed the money. He is the owner and his name is Corey Ebert.
