Since it was only about week after I got my car, I had to get my dent fixed for me to sleep at night as it would catch my eyes every time I walked to my car. I spent a few days looking for the best to place to take my car and I came across reviews of American Dent Specialists. Everything from reviews sounded like this would be the place that I want to take my car to so I decided to stop by on my way to work. Andy, the owner, came to me when I walked in and from the moment the experience was great. Everyone was on top of their duties and their attitudes were very welcoming and Andy spent a few minutes evaluating the dent and spent additional time with me explaining what has happened and what will need to be done to get it repaired. I received a very reasonable quote based on the amount of work needed and scheduled to come back. I dropped off the car this morning about 15 mins before the appointment time (I've been always taught to be early). Although it was before the office was open and working, they took my car and started working on it right away. Vehicle was finished within the estimated time and before they completed the work, they asked me to come and make sure that I was completely satisfied as they offer 100% satisfaction guarantee. Everything looked perfect when I got to check it and that was it! From the start to finish, everything was smooth and according to what was discussed. Lafayette (not sure if this is the correct spelling) was the man (THE man) that got my dent fixed and I can honestly say he is the best at what he does. What really made me a fan of their business was what happened at the end. At this point, I already paid for my repair and was sitting in my drivers seat. I noticed that Lafayette was knocking on my window. When I opened to the window, Lafayette was telling me that he was also a veteran and came to give me a 10% discount after I've already paid and about to leave. You guys are what a true Texas business stands for!

I can't speak to the retail customer experience, but if State Farm -- or any insurer -- is sending you here, treat it as a red flag. Find your own shop -- one that prioritizes a complete repair over minimizing claim costs. After the front and driver side accident, State Farm recommended this shop as one of their listed partners. About 10 days after drop-off, I was told my car was ready -- but when I arrived to pick it up, the dashboard was lit up with ABS, steering wheel, check engine, and front camera warning lights (see attached image). Somehow, this was their definition of "ready." It got worse. Once I drove it, I discovered that the neither the power steering wheel nor the speedometer was working - the needed remained at zero. Again, this is "ready?" When I asked the shop, if the test drove the car after the repair, I was told, "yes, briefly in a parking lot." Amazing!!! I have to ask -- how do you tell a customer their car is ready when the ABS, steering wheel, and speedometer aren't working? Especially given that all of these were fully functional before the accident. A car in this condition should never have been handed back to a customer. When I raised these concerns, all of these issues were claimed to be due to pre-existing condition - which is absolutely was not the case-- every single one of these systems worked before the accident. It has now been nearly a month, and my car is still not fixed. The continue to "blame" all of these issues on a "pre-existing condition." To make matters worse, when I contact State Farm for support, they simply echo whatever the shop tells them -- providing no meaningful advocacy for me as the customer. I have been going back and forth between the shop and State Farm for nearly a month, and neither party is willing to take ownership of the problem. Both continue to cite a vague "pre-existing condition" from 3-4 years ago -- despite the fact that none of these issue were present prior to the accident. I share this only to warn others -- a pleasant demeanor means nothing if the work isn't done right and the accountability isn't there.
