Even gave my name to her husband so he could attempt to cyber bully my wife, daughter and myself. These lighting pieces are ART. Handmade in the USA ART. Timeless art, the kind that never goes out of style. We have a Planar large pendant and a set of Brindille table lamps, both of which could be a focal point of a room all by themselves, and an elegant Mobius Pendant. They ARE expensive. Their products are overpriced and over rated. Talk a good story but customer service sucks. Gave them specific details on my light fixture and they got it wrong. how idiotic is that with specific dimensions and numerous emails they still send the wrong product. For what their fixtures cost it is highly overpriced.....my recommendation is to shop elsewhere. I moved into a home with all Hubbardton Forge light fixtures outdoors. I have since had to replace light bulbs on these outdoor fixtures. The design is terrible and the glass has broken on TWO fixtures. I was careful, took my time etc but two glass fixtures BROKE after I changed the light bulb. The cost to replace the glass fixture??? $800!!!!! There is definitely a design flaw in their products and NO help to cover the flaw! Do not buy from them. In doing a search to find some more Hubbardton Forge outdoor lamps I noticed the poor rating. I started installing Hubbardton Forge outdoor lights about 12 years ago. 8 lights located at a home directly on salt water. They have weathered extremely well and never skipped a beat. Not even a light bulb replacement. Over the years I added more. Need another 2 soon. Customer Service was just fine as the initial 8 lamp order was quite a sum, for me at the time. Lots of style and very little quality. I built a new house and exclusively used Hubbardton Forge lights inside and out. As you can see by the photo, the pendant lights match the Hubbardton Forge 132200-153-10 Black Trestle 4 Light Island. I would rip out the pendants and install somethings from Home Depot if they did not match the treslle light. The quality is poor and Hubbardton Forge does not stand behind their products. if I had it do again, I would choose a less expensive fixture made in China. I have no expectations of products "made in China" and If I had to replace lights "made in China" that would be in line with my expectations based on price and workmanship. I paid a lot more for Hubbardton and expected a lot more. I don't think I should have to replace all three pendant thats are about 5 years old. read more

I feel the need to chime in. I used Hubbardton Forge products extensively when I was building my house 12 years ago. There were five exterior fixtures and 10+ interior ones. They all performed flawlessly over the twelve years I lived in the house, with no issues on the finish of th exterior fixtures in the wet climate of a British Columbia ski resort. I cannot address the delivery time issue, as the fixtures were ordered long before the house was at a stage for electrical installations. I do think the fixtures are very pricey, and in some cases, like wall sconces, it looks hard to justify. I like the fixtures enough to be specifying them of the new place I am moving into. read more

I purchased 4 Hubbardton Forge fixtures (3 different types of the same style) in 2012 at considerable cost during a major remodel. In the last year, 3 of the 4 fixtures have had the sockets (not the bulbs) fail and needed to be replaced. This meant taking down the fixture, taking it apart, and basically rebuilding the fixture. Since I have experience volunteering to do electrical work with Habitat for Humanity, this is something I am comfortable doing. If you had no electrical experience, you would probably need to hire an electrician or handy person. Hubbardton Forge's customer service has been speedy in responding and sending out the replacement parts at no charge. The product style is beautiful. The product is on the higher price side. Given the cost of the product, I do not think having to replace defective electrical sockets after 5 years of non-constant use is acceptable. The only reason this review is 2 star is because of the speedy customer service response. The reliability of the product would have me giving negative stars if it was possible. read more

We just completed a major re-do of the kitchen in our 110 year old house. As everyone knows the kitchen is the most expensive room in the house and we felt the lighting would be the "cherry on top". After literally weeks of searching and many suggestions from decorators and friends we just couldn't find the right lights. All the big box store lights looked cheap and we were uncertain of the quality and craftsmanship of online stores. Luckily we googled "handmade lighting" and Hubbardton Forge came up. Yes these fixtures are expensive but we think they are absolutely beautiful and we are thrilled with the lights we picked. I wanted to exchange two small lamps for two large lamps. I was required to pay for return shipping and charged for a 30% restock fee (yes, 30%). The lamps cost $714. So I am being charged $210 for them to look in the box. And this is even after I said I wanted an exchange. This is ridiculous. I feel like I was being held up. I wish I read reviews of Hubbardton Forge before my (not so recent) purchase. Not so recent, because after over 12 weeks, I still don't have a dining room chandelier. I understood that the original order would take numerous weeks, but upon delivery, I discovered a broken diffuser glass. After several weeks, the glass of the reorder also arrived broken. Another reorder, this time a "rush" order, and after almost two weeks, it still hasn't arrived. I'm frustrated...you bet. read more

I have had an Hubbardton Forge table lamp for over 5 years and it looks great and has had no issues. I convinced my daughter to purchase a Hubbardton Forge chandelier for her new house and it too looks great. Very contemporary style. She has had numerous compliments on the fixture. After one year and lots of use, it still looks beautiful and works fine. I just purchased 2 HF pendants for my house and they look great. The styling and the finish are excellent. I had a small problem and when I contacted HF they resolved it immmediately. Yes, they cost more than what you can get at a home center or even many of the fixtures sold in a lighting showroom but the style, the construction and the material are all designed to last a long time. If you plan to stay in your home for more than a couple of years then it pays to invest in quality lighting products. And, this is a US company with first rate customer service. read more

We purchased a light fixture more than seven years ago for our kitchen. This is a beautiful fixture, and while expensive, it worked perfectly in our home. Last week, their was a failure on one of the sockets. My wife called Hubbardton Forge who immediately forwarded a replacement part without any charge (and one of the local retail stores installed the replacement part for free). Fabulous. This is plainly a company that stands fully behind its product, and we will gladly and without hesitation purchase another Hubbardton Forge fixture in the future. read more

These are nice looking fixtures, but be prepared to spend some time hanging them. The fixtures are way overpriced for the quality/convenience provided. I bought 2 wall lights at Bright Ideas store in Rochester, MN. First, the lights are not designed to be attached to an electrical box in the wall, rather Hubbardton left 4 holes in the holding plate to use with ribbed plastic anchors and screws. It was not desirable for me, so I had to drill 2 additional holes in the plate to attach to the box. Second, they actually forgot to thread the holes in the holding plate to secure the fixture, so the provided screws were useless, short of rethreading the holes, I was forced to find similarly stained self-tappers. Overall experience - about 2 hours of work where 10 min would have sufficed. read more

I am in the lighting design business and have always been impressed with the quality of their products. All pieces are hand forged and finished in Vermont USA, NOT China, like most lighting. They have had some socket challenges, but any electrical issues in the past have been dealt with quickly and fairly, at no charge to the customer. They have beautiful hand forged lighting fixtures, made in America. Be prepared to pay ultra high prices. I bought 3 of their Mobius pendants for a dining room fixture, which cost $1200+ just for the fixture (add electrician install cost to this). The electrician installed per the instructions. Turns out there's no way to fit your hand into the shade to change the bulbs. The installation instructions call for fixing the shades in place so you can't raise them above the bulb for replacement. and oh by the way it took the electrician nearly a full day to assemble and install this, as the instructions were not good and the product complicated. I managed to get two fingers in to pull the halogen bulb out, but can't get the new one in. Their helpful Customer Service comment was 'gee no one's ever had a problem with this before'. If you are thinking of buying this product, move on to another manufacturer. read more
