Vin from Northeast Dryer Vent Cleaning went above and beyond. We had our dryer vent serviced every…read moreyear by another company, and even asked them to install a new vent. Yet, right after that service, something was wrong. The dryer was like a steam shower: hot as can be but no moisture was leaving the machine. I called Vin on a whim to see what he thought (a second opinion never hurts) and he gave a quick guess as to what was going on, gave me a recommendation to rule out issues with the dryer itself, and then came to clean out the vent. Vin is a straight shooter, doesn't try to upsell you. Turns out the vent itself was installed improperly and there was a clog the size of Texas. He brought the proper vent and took hours to dig out the insane clog. There is no way that clog came from just a couple months of use, which tells me that the prior cleaning was not done in full. I'm grateful Vin was able to help us and get us up and running again, without having to buy a new dryer! Now my neighbor wants him to come take a look at hers! We will be going back to him for our maintenance from now on.

Got introduced to DC Chimney by a friend who came in, and immediately noticed that the prior person left our chimney filthy, with a lot of possibility to have the *wrong* type of fire coming out of there (as in, house damage). So what did Craig and his people do? First, he got in and cleaned the hell out of it. Second, he gave me advice on how to take better care of my chimney Third, he helped me understand options for my chimney (we're getting caps installed next week) Oh, and then there's price. He's cleaning it for *less* than the people who left it dirty AND he's incredibly fair and reasonable on things like caps. He's just a genuinely good dude, who does quality work, and is fair and reasonable to customers. Honestly, there are lots of people who claim to take care of chimneys, but DC is the only one I can trust to do it right AND trust not to rip me off. That should be what you want, too.

Did not have the right tools for the job or the ladders . I finally got up on my roof to see what had been done because I am quite old 71 to be exact and found that he had smashed my air vent across the top of the roof as I have a metal roof . He tried to use a standard ladder to get to the top which he could not reach so he laid it down and stood on to ​ the edge in able to get a few inches so he could stretch on his tipping toes to reach the top which he never saw the top . I also witnessed with my own eyes and tried to put up that slid down my chimney which smashed ​ on my roof with him on top of it . Now if you would have bought the correct ladders like a step ladder he would not have done such a poor job . Extremely unhappy with this contractor I would not use him again or recommend him . Which I have all pictures to verify this . When he was here I called the owner told all of my problem that I saw and he told me to just to let him go he knew how to do his job well that apparently was not the case

We hired NEDS to fix water damage after a fridge leak. They did the work in half the time they said they would, and they did half the job. They actually created a mold problem in my house and I had to pay another company to come in and do the job right. The impact their negligence has had on our lives is substantial. Mold has to be physically removed, not just sprayed with bleach/MMR nor fogged. FYI I tried contacting the owner to right the situation instead of writing this review, but he didn't want to accept responsibility/do the right thing. Do not hire NEDS for any water damage, they are negligent.
