He went through it with a better eye on the little things that I would of missed. Surprised when the detail report came out. Remember I needed a objective report. When I said detail not only was a breakdown and pics provided but also the summary for those of us with short attention spans. The house fell through (wife was sad). Now needed a nother inspection. Were doing a 1031 exchange so we have limited time to speed buy. I called Barks again. Ronnie was there the next day. I like this one. Yes and like ANY house you will find issues. We even had a pest inspector (God bless these guys saving my bacon) going at the same time. Now would the inspectors find absolutely everything? No. It cant be done unless your taking the house apart. Price was reasonable and I even got a discount on the second. Would I use them again? Yes Would I recommend them? Yes Thanks Ronnie. This required them to raise FIVE outlets. They also offered to raise the cable cords too, which took that off my husbands to-do list. These guys are so funny and personal and you can tell they love their job. They were such a pleasure to have here. They are the only contractors I actually look forward to calling for help because I know it will be a job well done and I won't be sobbing over my invoice when they are done. Today, I had drawn the lay-out with chalk showing how the built in was going to be laid out. Tieler asked to look at the engineering drawings and noticed that I didn't take into account the auto filler! This made my chalk layout off by six inches! Thank Goodness he was experienced enough to read the drawings correctly to ensure the outlets are exactly where they need to go. I couldn't be happier! During the initial communications with Ralph, he was going out of town, so I sent my contact info to him and he said he would come over between 9am and 12 noon on Monday. So at 3pm, I messaged him asking if he was going to make it? He made up a lame excuse and scheduled for the next day. When he arrived, he didn't even remember that we talked about painting just the brick and spent 10 minutes talking about the eaves. 1st red flag. Finally after going all the way around the house, he stopped bragging about his company enough to listen and get it. Second red flag. According to him, he was so busy painting hundreds of houses a year, that getting on the schedule was going to be (let's say challenging). So after he sent us the quote and we said okay, magically he could start the following Monday. Third red flag. We said no, we wanted to take more than 3 days to figure out the colors since we didn't have enough time that week. So we decided to get some more quotes on the project to ensure the price was fair. The other quotes came in $2300 below his quote, which meant he was trying to gouge us and wanted to hurry the job. Fourth red flag. He wanted $9,700 and the others quoted $7400. Now that's' a BIG difference for the same work and same paint. Let's just say he wasn't happy about us using another contractor after thinking he had us on the line like a big fish. He wanted to discuss the price, but there was no way that was going to happen after getting the lower quotes. We went with Wences Painting and couldn't be happier with the results.

They replaced the shingles at the location of the leak for free, only to find that the leak was not their fault at all.
