This location is a waste of a stop. Food was brought out cold. When we placed order the waitress put it in wrong charged for something we didn't order. Staff was fighting where everyone can hear. Very poor management. All the wait staff wanted to do is put up a tree. The cook was so over worked cause the staff was letting food get cold and the cook had to redo it. read more

Horrible experience. The sign out front reads that they are hiring for all shifts, so we knew to be patient. Part of the dining area was blocked by chairs. ??, but we were seated in the blocked off area due to the number in our party. There was a girl that got our drink orders and brought us our drinks, but I'm not even sure if she works there. She had ear buds in and when we asked her what drink was what when she placed them on the table, she had to take one ear bud out to hear us repeat the question. Our waitress came and seemed eager and pleasant. We did not expect to witness her on the phone and chatting with 2 other people that were hanging out in a corner near our table and them have some sort of dispute going on where the 2 others were cursing and upset. At one point the waitress walked away from the guy and he told her to "get her A back here". The other person was a teen (or young adult) and appeared to be upset and crying, but liked the use of the F word. Our food was ready while the waitress had this going on with her family?/friends? (that came to hang out in the section closed off while she worked?). Our food was brought to us by the cook and a flustered waitress. She handled the plates poorly and had her thumb directly in my plate and as she set it down, the receipt that she gripped in the same hand dipped into my food. I no longer had an appetite. The macaroni and cheese noodles were not cooked all the way and the cheese is velveeta like: not real cheese. The 2 year old that loves Mac and cheese was not impressed and only had a few bites before before he was totally done. Others in our party said: The okra was good. The chicken fried steak was good. Great service and great atmosphere to enjoy some good food in! I took forever to order and my waitress was extremely nice and never rushed me. Food came out fast and was made exactly how I wanted it!! Also if you're picking about your sweet tea this place won't disappoint ya!! UPDATE to my original review: I received an e-mail from the Huddle House Director of Operations apologizing for my experience and advising they are taking steps to address my concerns. I also get a free meal for the trouble. Based on that quick and positive response to my complaint, I'm upgrading my review to 2 stars... and, If I'm in Fulton, MS, I might try them again. ********************* Original Review: I've been to several Huddle House locations before, and they were pretty comparable to the likes of Denny's and IHOP. This particular location was awful! If you are a smoker, then this would be your paradise. So far as I could tell there isn't a nonsmoking section, at least there was not a sign indicating there was. They allowed cigar smoke, which should never be allowed inside an eating establishment. I'm thinking the cigar I was smelling cost somewhere in the $1.00 or less range and was just rancid. I'm an ex-smoker and during my smoking days, this would have bothered me. Asked for Ranch, got Honey French Asked for no cheese on my burger, got cheese. Asked for Dr Pepper, they were out. Asked for Sprite, they don't have sprite. Then, the server seemed aggravated at having to tell me what they actually did have to drink. Was told I couldn't substitute chili, even though the menu clearly says you can substitute chili for an additional charge. The excuse... we can't ring it up in the register. (really?) Overall, friendly service seems to be reserved for the locals, but even though this place is right off a busy highway, they seemed less than pleased about serving "visitors." Needless to say, if you think about going to this place, just pull in at the McDonald's across the street instead. read more

Worst. Experience. Ever. We stopped here to eat on our way home to Alabama. The service was the absolute worst of any we've received anywhere. The restaurant was dirty. We waited one full hour for our food, which was cold from sitting so long. In that time the waitress never asked if we needed drinks (we did) or checked in at all. The lady sitting near us got up, went into the kitchen, and asked if they were going to get their food. She told us it's always that bad and they wouldn't come back if it wasn't the only breakfast in town. Sad. Just go to the McDonald's at the same exit. read more

If you respect yourself even the least bit, avoid eating here. The service is usually horrible, and the cooks are sloppy at best. I made the mistake of suggesting we eat at the "establishment," and the cook on duty made me regret my decision wholeheartedly. My chicken sandwich was wrong (it had buffalo sauce on it), so I sent it back. What was returned to me was the same chicken patty with huge scorch marks on it. It looked like a lump of charcoal. I picked the charred remains up, looking at the other side to see that someone (the cook) had attempted to wipe the buffalo sauce off and flipped the patty over...like I would not look at my food. The cook was not smart. This was the last straw. The last time I was there, a dirty diaper was lying the the small garbage can next to the register. I wish I could give this place zero stars. It is horrible. We attempted to huddle here for breakfast on July 4, 2014. When we arrived there weren't many people there, but there were a couple of tables with dirty dishes on them. After approx 15 minutes a waitress came to ask for our drink order. In the middle of my response she interrupted to greet what I assumed was a regular customer with 'oh sweetie I will get your drinks in a second'. She finished taking our drink order and brought the regular his drinks. Now, no waitress should ever carry glasses or cups by the rim. This one did. This same waitress grabbed napkins off of a dirty plate on a dirty table to wipe off a table for a new customer. That was just gross. My husband witnessed this. So we sat there for over 30 minutes waiting on our food. Now in all fairness, our food was ready in about 15 minutes. I could see it sitting on the counter. I saw a waitress lean over my waffle and her hanging name tag brushed through the butter on it. So at this point I knew I wasn't going to eat this food, but we were determined to see it through. After the cook called our waitress' name multiple times to tell her our food was ready, they must have realized she wasn't going to deliver it. Some other waitresses brought the food... To the wrong table. So we watched these strangers passing our food around and touching it. Until they tried to give them my waffle. I interrupted from the next table with 'I think that's our food'. So they stopped and took the food back. I said 'we don't want that. If we could just have our check'. We walked to the front and the waitress was telling someone 'they don't want this. We took it to the wrong table'. The person who I assume was the manager rolled her eyes and shrugged in what I interpreted as 'whatever'. The cashier told us the drinks would be $5.50. My mom said that was ridiculous. The cashier read the ticket and told me we had 2 coffees and sweet tea. I said that we didn't have sweet tea. She said 'this says you did'. I told her I had soda. She said 'well they are the same price'. Why was this person arguing with me?? I laughed and said 'this place is ridiculous' and walked out. My dad had cash out to pay but I guess the manager realized this situation was crap and told my dad not to pay. Oh thank you Huddle House. This place is horrible just in case you didn't figure that out from this novel. My parents live in this town but are obviously not known by everyone, so we didn't receive the great treatment. I have been to other locations in the past, and on a recent trip, was after midnight and only thing open when I arrived, and honestly I was craving it. but will never return to this location. The staff was outside smoking when we pulled up, did not see them wash their hands, one opened a package on the line with his mouth. Food tasted horrible, and was cold, or over cooked. my trip was Sept 12, 2015, I went ahead and paid for my meal, but I will not go back ever, There is one closer to me that I am going to try, and I am hoping they are not bad like this place. read more
