What a cute dessert shop! It really feels like a local staple that's been around for a while--they clearly know what they're doing. The shop has a wide variety of sodas, candies, and of course, ice cream. Prices are reasonable, and service was quick and friendly. I ordered two scoops of ice cream in a cup, and the portion was huge--I couldn't even finish it. The ice cream itself was very sweet, almost too sweet for me, but still enjoyable as a treat. I'm not sure if they make the ice cream in-house, but it definitely tastes like they don't skimp on the sugar. I had seen so many people parked at this ice cream shop that we had to try it out. So I took my today and when we entered, we were greeted by a very nice young lady. Very happy and pleasant. There was so many different flavors of ice cream and I had my heart set on a banana split, but they had an awesome flavor of chocolate ice cream. It was chocolate raspberry! It was so delicious. I had a scoop of that in the and fresh strawberry and vanilla on the side. The banana was very fresh and the girl loaded up on everything all the toppings and extra hot fudge. The thing was huge! And I can't believe I ate it but it was delicious. My had the chocolate peanut butter. There was more massive chunks of peanut butter than there was chocolate . She said it was very but she couldn't finish it because it was too much peanut butter and when I say big pieces of peanut butter, it was probably 3 inch wide by maybe 3 inch deep and maybe an inch thick and there was chunks of it in there. We had ordered some orange drink and it was good little bit different. we had a nice table by the water and everything was very clean. Lots of people came and there and as we were leaving, cars were beginning to to enjoy the delicious ice cream. They're a little pricey, but it is well worth it. I would give them a try. read more

Little ice cream parlor that could on Hudson Beach. They advertise 40 flavors and of course all sorts of frozen treats, including banana splits and sundaes. My go to is chocolate but my friend talked me into trying their salt caramel cheesecake. It was melt on your tongue smooth and creamy. The taste of the salted caramel was not too sweet with the velvety cheesecake richness. The place is very rustic despite being more local than touristy. They do a steady business and are a local favorite. I think it was one of the owners making sure the parking lot was clean. He was friendly and joking with us. We had a sweet Saturday at Hudson Beach Ice Cream Parlor at their Ice Cream 4 Breakfast event I opted for their Belgian Waffle Sundae with Vanilla Gator Tracks ice cream, hot fudge drizzle, whipped cream, and a sprinkle of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The ice cream was delicious enough to stand alone, and was chock full of tiny peanut butter cups. But pairing it with the Belgian waffle made it a gloriously decadent breakfast. The space itself is nostalgic and charming. I'm a Florida native, and some of my favorite tourist spots have been ice cream shops near the water. But this place feels like it's for the locals, too. The whole staff is friendly and quick to help, and the 50's retro theming adds to the lighthearted vibe here. You can take a picture with James Dean, or check out their selection of novelty candies for purchase. And if you've got some change in your pocket they have a selection of toy-vending bubblegum machines, too. This was not my first visit here, and I hope you'll make this a regular stop as well. A complete ice cream parlor experience Whimsical vibe inside with historical music decorations all over from vinyl to plaques and posters of entertainment icons like Marilyn Monroe and Elvis. They had a lot of flavors including some dairy free options, service was friendly but you can tell they get a lotttt of work. Ice cream was delicious we got a milkshake and a Sunday. They have wet toppings (sauces etc) and dry toppings you can really get creative here. It's right down the street from a chill little beach so you can go enjoy your ice cream by the water if the weather is nice. Great spot Highly recommend! read more

The bottom line -it is a place that sells grocery store ice cream in a beach resort area. They have a pleasant outdoor eating area on the canal. They have lots of different flavors. It's always crowded so it seems popular. But the ice cream is just Hershey's ice cream dished out in foam cups. They'll make sundaes and things like that. But the flavor is nothing special. I meant to write this review over a month ago. Where does the time go? My friend was in from Oklahoma and he was staying in Port Richie, or someplace that sounds similar to that. Anyway, it's a long way from where I live in Fort Lauderdoodle, but how often do I get to see my friends from the midwest? Not very often, so it was worth the drive. We had a great time but during our visit he wanted ice cream. And we found this place. It's a funky looking building, like it used to be something else, and maybe two different somethings that are now one. But the service was excellent, the selection was good the folks behind the counter were awesome and the ice cream is delicious. We had to go outside to eat because it was a beautiful day and Oklahoma was still cold, so he enjoyed it. Plus I make a mess eating ice cream and I didn't want to embarrass myself inside. By the time I was finished I needed a garden hose to clean up, but I had to make do with the restroom, which was very clean. I have no idea if I'll ever make it back up this way, but I hope I do. THE NEGATIVES: This is an ice cream parlor. The operation is simple offer a cold desert tree to those willing to purchase them. Failure in this department is slim to none if you abide by certain rules, such as providing a quality product and they hit the mark with that. So where is the problem? Well, this location does get one strike, albeit a minor one, due to location. The parking is fair with the only issue being that you have to back into traffic which is sometimes inpatient both coming and going to Hudson Beach. It was more of a strike against those transiting then those customers visiting the ice cream parlor but, it is still the location that is the issue. EMPLOYEES: The staff here... has never been much more than teenagers and they do a fine job at accommodating customers. It's ice cream not rocket science. So failing in this department really take some doing. Thankfully I have not experience that here. COMFORTABLE SURROUNDINGS: I do like that they have seating inside as well as outside. In the warmer months I would recommend bringing some bug spray with you if you desire to sit outside... But it's Florida so you should already know that. Sitting inside is nice, as it is air conditioned but, it can get quite loud if there are a lot of children getting there ice cream high on. VARIETY: You would have to just flat out hate ice cream or be a lifelong malcontent to not find something that appealed to you here. I'm not sure how many varieties of ice cream they actually have but, they always seem to have something that I want and in fact they usually have three something's that I want, LOL. During my most recent trip I had a wonderful double cone, and they actually asked me if I wanted big scoops or small ones, of maple walnut and pistachio. In fact just dictating those words as a voice to text option as I create this review, has made me salivate... Pretty scary considering I'm not a super big ice cream guy. PRICES: I found them to be fair with their prices as I compare them to Strachan's ice cream parlor in Palm Harbor and Dunedin. Concluding, everything is great with this location except for trying to back out. If you get the chance to back in I feel it would be a much safer experience for the customer when departing. I say this with confidence after having no fewer than 3 near misses trying to back out into speeding motorists who have to stop for the intersection anyway. A word of advice don't come immediately before or after sunset. That's when all the tourists plague Hudson Beach. read more

I opted for the dark chocolate hazelnut with a specialty waffle cone. Later on, the girl looking after us told me we were neighbors and I obviously didn't remember her. Lol. Poor girl.
