Second time dining at this location of the Coney Island Drive-Inn and it was excellent!!! Friendly staff to talk to which was very nice!! Order was made and food was ready quickly which also was awesome!!! Hot dog was delicious as usual!!! The entire restaurant has a cool vibe and had plenty of decor to look at!!! Great place to bring the family for a nice time!!! Even the bathroom is decorated!!!

Very small foods but very reasonably priced considering. It's a cute place! I wasn't expecting such an atmosphere in the strip. The service was good the gentleman who took our orders was friendly and answered our questions. I got the gator dog which was flavorful and spicy almost. Some friends got long hotdogs and some got short ones. They're very small, but at this price point I expect that.

Stopped by for lunch today and had a good meal. The restaurant was clean, well decorated with tons to look at and the staff was nice. I really like how when my meal was ready the called my name and said "we've got some great food for Meghan". That sets the stage perfectly. The food was the star. We all really enjoyed our dogs and fries. We'd definitely come back.

We try to visit a Coney Island Hot Dog joint each time we're in the Central FL area. Originally discovering the one in Zephyrhills, we've also been to ones in Brooksville and now this one in Largo. Upon arriving, the interior was very clean and neat. It had the vintage memorabilia on the walls that most of the locations still have. We were greeted by a nice waitress. It's always impressive when we get thanked for coming in and she did just that. I ordered the Norm's Bigg Dog because I'm a huge fan of loose meat. This foot-long hot dog had a pile of loose meat, cheese, and it was topped with coleslaw and several onion rings. Everything was prepared great and the bun was also delicious. My husband is a fan of the Coney sauce with cheese so he got a dog with that on it and it did not disappoint. We also had a small corn dog, which was fried perfectly. Love this place and if you like hotdogs, we're confident you will too.

Really cool place to get your hands on a coney island dog. I tried the mustard and onion short all beef hotdog x2 along with a small fry. The all beef hotdog was on point and cooked just right. Great flavor on a great bun. It was a little heavy on the onion but certainly nothing I couldn't fix myself by scraping a bit off. The french fries were just OK. Nothing to write home about and accompanied by a ketchup brand that I'm not familiar with, although ketchup is ketchup right? No. Fast friendly service is what you'll get here. The girl that waited on my ended every sentence with "my love." Definitely a place I would come back to.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place! If you're looking for some good food that reminds you of a better version of the fair - this one is for you! The corn dog was crispy and so good, paired with the amazing cheese fries! I love a good cheesy fry! My husband got the gator dog, onion rings and a foot long corndog just to have it, lol! The inside of this place was awesome! I loved all the old vintage signage and especially loved the Elvis corner! Service at the front was amazing and I love hearing how positive and supportive the manager was towards the crew! I would definitely go back!

This is my second visit to this spot. It's an hour's drive, but since we enjoyed it so much last time, we decided to make the trip again today. To start with the obvious, The sign outside the restaurant says Coney Island Hot Dog, not Drive-Inn, and prices. Our first visit was a couple of years back, and even now, the prices remain unchanged. You won't find such affordable prices anywhere else. I'm not sure how they keep their prices so low. The restaurant is situated in a strip mall with ample parking available right in front. The seating is plentiful and the place is very clean. They offer a variety of hotdog styles, along with chicken wings and hamburgers. I haven't tried the chicken wings myself, but I noticed someone nearby enjoying them, and they looked and smelled amazing. They have two sizes for hotdogs: short and long. Once again, the prices are quite reasonable. We ordered a southern chili dog and Norm's Bigg Dog, which comes topped with loose meat, chili, cheese, slaw, and onion rings. We also got a large chili fry. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that the chili was a bit on the salty side this time. Other than that, the hotdogs were fantastic, the prices are unbeatable, and I will definitely be returning for more.

Chili cheese dog, Short Gator Dog, some dog with onions rings n a plain one. All so good.

This place is so cute and very nostalgic. Love the vintage stuff all over reminds me of an old fashion hotdog house. The staff was so friendly answering all my questions. And I have a lot of questions when it comes to a dog! So the menu prices are pork hotdogs but to upgrade to and all beef is .50$ more per 6 inches!! Not only are they old classic hotdogs but they also have a gator dog 10/10 giving a homage to us swamp people down here! Me and my daughters loved this place and can't wait to come back!

Bun kinda short. I didn't ask for extra onion -- that's the regular amount.

I've been to the Brooksville location many times, and was happy to hear they were opening a new place close to home. I love all kinds of hot dogs -- Coney, Chicago, ballpark, whatever. But...this location was very disappointing. The food quality is just not there. The worst part was the hot dog itself. Mushy, no flavor, kind of cold -- no "snap" at all. The bun was unimpressive and kinda mushy and slightly too long for the hot dog. My foot-long had enough onions for a yard-long--maybe to cover up the lack of hot dog flavor. I barely finished it. The fries are fine, but if you want cheese sauce, order it on the side. They put way too much cheese on top of the fries and create an over-cheesy mess. At least the cheese sauce is pretty good. The milkshakes were also kind of disappointing. Not actually hand mixed -- just poured from a machine with vanilla shake mix like at McDonalds. I wish it was better. Maybe it will get better. But when a hot dog place starts with a cheap and mushy hot dog -- it's hard to recover from that.

For someone who is not a huge fan of chili dogs, I am already looking forward to going back for one at Coney Island. Service was excellent, ambiance was fun and the hotdogs were yummy. Fries were also good. Wasn't a huge fan of the corn on the cob, but it could just be me.

I arrived around 2:20 p.m. and was let in by a worker at the front door, who told me they were closing shortly and suggested I head to the deli first if that was what I wanted. Once I walked in, however, a cashier yelled to me that they were closed. I was a little confused because I had just been let in by a worker who knew I was coming inside. From there, the experience felt a bit chaotic. There were quite a few people in the store, and I felt like the workers were very displeased by my presence. I honestly felt like I was a bother. I completely understand that I arrived close to closing, so I tried to be respectful of their time and rushed through the store to grab a few items. I had driven an hour to get there, so I wanted to at least make the most of the trip. When I went to check out, I initially got in one line, and the cashier was finishing up with the customer already there and directed me to another line, so I followed her instructions. I had a basket with my items and wasn't sure if I was supposed to empty it myself. There wasn't an obvious place to leave the empty basket, and the cashier never indicated that she would take it from me. I apologized and explained that it was my first time there. She told me that next time I should come during the week so I could browse more. As I was leaving, I noticed so many people trying to enter the store and being turned away because it was now past closing. That made me think Mazzaro's may want to reconsider its Saturday hours. They are clearly a very popular and well-known store, yet being open from only 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and being closed on Sundays makes it difficult for people who work typical Monday-Friday, full-time hours to visit. I take responsibility for not checking the hours before making the drive, and I understand that the employees were probably ready to go home. However, I still think there is a difference between enforcing closing time and making a customer feel unwelcome. Unfortunately, I did not feel warmly greeted or welcomed during my visit, and it put a damper on the entire experience.
