Not knowing who to call I ended up calling GEM construction and spoke with Gary Moody. Within an hour he was at my house and up on the roof. I have a 10/12 pitch on the roof and he was up there with the help of one of his assistants. I found the cover and he replaced and secured while here. On another time (about a year ago) I hired him to replace a service door to my garage and he did a great job. One other time within the past two years I had an issue with a vent to my attic and he responded and took care of the problem. Very happy with his response and work.

I don't know if he came back but I called twice and left messages for him after 2 weeks. No return call. No response. I have no idea what happened, if he was overbooked or what. I thought our meeting was genial and professional.

Preston knew what had to be done, and he told me he would be able to make the necessary repairs quickly since he had another project he was working on nearby. The repairs ended up being more work than he anticipated due to unforeseen conditions, but he did what was necessary and quickly like he said he would. I recently hired All Gutter Systems in Grandville, Michigan, to repair a small section of gutter…read moreand downspout on the front of my home near the garage. The repair itself was simple--requiring roughly 10-14 feet of material, a few screws, and basic hardware. The work appeared satisfactory at first, and I paid the invoice in full the same day. Unfortunately, the experience that followed has been extremely disappointing. The day after the repair, my son parked in the driveway and discovered a handful of screws--about a dozen--scattered directly where the repair vehicle had been parked. He collected them and brought them to me, and I immediately warned my family to check their tires for any potential damage. Shortly after, my son's girlfriend found a screw in her left rear tire. The screw was located in the sidewall, making the tire unrepairable and forcing her to buy a new one. A day later, I personally found another dozen screws scattered near the end of the driveway and along the edge of the road, confirming that they had been dropped by the repair technician from All Gutter Systems. I contacted the company to report the incident, and to their credit, they initially reimbursed us for the cost of the one damaged tire. However, the issue did not end there. A few days later, I found yet another screw lodged in the sidewall of the rear tire on my own vehicle. Because my car is all-wheel drive, I was advised that all four tires should be replaced to prevent drivetrain issues--costing me nearly $400. I immediately contacted the company again, explained what had happened, and spoke with the salesperson who told me he would relay the situation to the owner. I was later informed that the owner was unavailable due to a family wedding but would respond soon. It has now been several days, and despite multiple follow-up calls, I have received no response and no resolution. While accidents can happen, the real test of a company's integrity is how they handle them. In this case, All Gutter Systems started out well by acknowledging the first problem, but completely failed to follow through once it became clear that there was additional damage. The lack of communication and accountability has been frustrating and disappointing. Until they take responsibility and provide fair compensation for the damage caused by their technician's negligence, I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
