I had a short layover in the Albuquerque International Sunport (Airport). I checked out the layout of the airport and the stores. It is located in the airport between Concourses A and B. The store is basically set up along a wall and items are extended out on roll-able displays. You don't really enter the confines of the store within walls. The one wall is decorated with Hot Air Balloons! This is the city that hosts the yearly Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! Being located in New Mexico, which is associated with aliens, there is no shortage of alien merchandise at this store and airport! There was a crash in 1947 of an alleged alien spacecraft in Corona, NM, but when people think of aliens, they think of Roswell. Come here for your snacks, souvenirs, and such. They have plenty of options! read more

I had a terrific experience at this Hudson News (near my gate 3B). The sales lady was friendly and had a great sense of humor. She initiated friendly conversation and smiled in a sincere manner. The place is pricey, but absolutely normal for an airport. In fact, they don't charge tax, so you can get drinks and snacks cheaper here compared to other nearby cafes. My soda was $3 and change. Keebler snack crackers were under two bucks--pretty reasonable, I think. It's not the largest store, but they had everything I needed. There were drinks,sandwiches, cheese, chips, chocolate!, electronic stuff and reading material. I've been there before and I absolutely plan to return. read more

Everything you need at an airport store: trinkets, souveniers, and over-priced snacks and drinks. I actually found a really cool painted tile with beautiful hummingbirds on it, and I ended up buying two. We had bought a larger, hand-painted tile at the Pueblo Cultural Center earlier in our trip, which we fell in love with, even though it was pricey. However, the pieces at the airport were about 1/10 of the price we paid for that, so I was super happy to come home with two miniature versions of our original piece. They sit in my guest bathroom and I totally love them, and LOVE that I found these two at an airport gift shop for only $10 each. read more

***This Hudson News in Albuquerque is similar to the ones you will find at LAX--standard airport convenience store; it did feature friendly service*** There is one Hudson News located before security, but there are also some stores within the terminal; I imagine parking at this airport is expensive. read more

The girl working there did not seem like she wanted to be there. She wasn't accommodating and when I checked out, she wasn't going to give me a bag for my stuff until I asked her. The products sold were the usual products sold at all the other Hudson News stores. Same overpriced stuff, of course. I didn't like the souvenir selection, and there wasn't much to choose from the souvenir magnets. read more

My family of 5 is waiting at the gate for our flight right next to the Hudson News. My 3 year-old ran off and grabbed a bag of chips. My husband got up to get her but before he could, an employee known by Charles GRABBED my little girl to snatch the chips back! Then when I went over to tell him how out of line and rude he was, he proceeds to tell me to watch my kid! What!? We were handling it. He was so wrong! I tried calling Hudson in NJ to complain and they transferred me to v/m. So I submitted a comment on their online form and it bounced back undeliverable. I had to do something. I'm still shaking and my toddler cried so hard and was very scared of that big man who grabbed her. Hudson News, be aware of who you have handling your customers. He drew quite a crowd too. Other travellers came up to apologize FOR him as he didn't seem to think he did any wrong. read more

I went to the one inside the B terminal. They have 'em outside as well. Plenty of magazines and newspapers for the trip available. They take credit cards. The line moved fast, so I didn't have to wait. All new and well-stocked with drinks and snacks too. read more

Whenever I need to waste a little time, a pack of gum or something to read while traveling I stop in here. The staff are always helpful.

It didn't help Hazel's sales figures but she still warned me that the fancy new water was $4.49! So I bought the $2.59 bottle instead. This tiny kiosk has the selection of a small bookstore, more magazines that you can shake a fist at (and those magazines for other shakes), candy galore, nuts, chews, batteries and everything else you might want for a long flight to Dallas? read more

Never believe the sales person that runs the Indian Craft Kiosk in the Albuquerque terminal. She personally guaranteed that a Navajo pot that I purchased would and could be shipped and it would not be broken in transit. She was wrong and the management at Sunport would not stand behind the guarantee and make it right. The manager, Keith seemed indifferent to my problem even after I emailed pics of the broken object. He had my money and was too busy to react to my situation. Trying to contact their headquarters to lodge a complaint is almost impossible but I am going to keep trying! Buy nothing from Hudson News that needs to be shipped. read more
