I was pleased that they made cancellation easy. So easy that they don't even send a confirmation that you would need to look at. I had not been checking my credit card statements and just found that they never cancelled and have been charging me for about a year after I cancelled. I called customer service and was refused a refund even for the current month that they just charged yesterday. Don't give any money to this sleazy outfit.

This is a small town newspaper that features local athletes & heroes from El Segundo. It shows you where to be and when to be there. It shows you when the local Farmers Markets are. It tells you everything you need to know about El Segundo. This little newspaper still has a small little Office front in El Segundo which they have to pay rent for and they distribute the newspaper for free. I mean does it get any better than that? I do not think so. I believe Heaven is El Segundo and so does the publisher of this paper.

It's headlines are always about the local little league baseball schedule or who is appearing in the local school play. It has no news af any substance and is mostly good for the bottom of the kitty litter box or for wrapping fish. Nobody reads it and it is a nuisance when it is left outside on the sidewalk. I wish they would stop printing it but since it is given away for free, the local realtors must give it enough revenue to keep it going.

I'm not even sure if they can be considered a legitimate company, as they are a complete joke. This is a full scam so buyer beware. Use other advertising strategies.

I'd like this thing to have a local scoop but it doesn't. The lead story here is the Venice freak show which had had a reality TV show for what? 3 seasons. I open it up. Ads ads some NIMBY letters to the editor, ads. Every now and then they have recommendation articles by people who I think are perfectly content at the 7/11 grab n go by how the lists turn out. I feel sufficiently less informed and have increasingly less insight into my community as I turn each page. Valuable memory space gets filled with these um fills? As she got older, she didn't notice that they were hiking the rate higher and higher until I took over as her Power of Attorney, looked at her checking account and they were charging her $406 PER MONTH ($13.50 per day delivery!). She has had YEARS of overpaying. New customers pay $.71-$1.43 per day, depending on their subscription plan. Any lawyers out there want to take on this Elder Abuse? I was tired of getting bills endlessly and not knowing when I was paid up to. the final straw was the billing calls, so I told them cancel my subscription and send me a final bill because they kept insisting that i make a payment. What they failed to tell me was they couldn't cancel my subscription. I got another call from their billing center and told them I canceled 2 weeks prior when they called, again they insisted I pay what was still owing and they told me they couldn't cancel and that I needed to call customer service which I did. They wouldn't take no to canceling. They rep said she couldn't adjust my bill reflecting I should only be billed for 18 days ?? They are a headache to deal with.
