Came to realize that if I wanted something that looked decent, I might have to get a piece and "re-purpose" it. I purchased a dining table from Hudson Furniture in Ocoee, which was sold as a high-quality product. Within a short period of light use, the table showed excessive wear and scratches -- far beyond what would be considered normal. Their technician admitted to surface issues but the company refused to take any real responsibility, claiming it "meets manufacturer standards." They offered a cosmetic "repair" that would have done nothing to fix the underlying problem, and then used my decision not to accept it as a reason to dismiss my concerns altogether. Hudson Furniture clearly does not stand behind its products, and their customer service ends the moment a sale is made. DECEIVED BY THE OWNERS JOSHUA & ADAM!!! So disappointed after bringing a couch home, being told I can try it for 30 days and it still not satisfied, switch at no charge or return for FULL REFUND.... Neither of which have been true!! We received the sectional back in Dec, and I immediate it wasn't a good fit for my husband's back. This was explained to the Ocoee FL location and we have yet to see them do right by their word!!!! Unacceptable customer service and no regard for customer satisfaction. One would think if someone spent in excess of $5,000 on a bedroom set and things came in wrong, were not ordered, or wrong size was ordered or tthe wrong color was ordered that the company would most likely make it right. In an attempt to pacify me they gave me mismatched furniture and assured me they would take care of me for my time and sleeping on the floor for two nights waiting on a backup bed. Well here I sit the night before they're supposed to deliver the real furniture, the right stuff hopefully, for the third time and now they are refusing to compensate me for 3 days of sitting around waiting on movers, missing work and think everything should just be okay. It was discussed from the beginning that they would offer compensation and now refuse. First and last time I will ever buy anything at Hudson and as a local realtor I will definitely caution all of my clients and family members to steer clear. I am trying to contact the regional manager and most likey requesting a full refund and I will start over. read more

I previously issued a rating of 3 because I loved the sales rep but was steamed about the delivery promises followed by long delays. Looking back, I feel that was u fair as everything was delayed due to Covid. It was just a difficult time in my life and this added to the stress, but not really their fault. I couldn't be happier with my Hudson's Furniture transaction. I was looking for a bed frame, mattress, and entertainment center--all for my not-yet-ready house. Nano (Ocoee store) was very attentive and determined to find just what I needed. She used their measuring equipment to determine the right mattress-firmness for me, then let me spend plenty of time to decide on the best model--no pressure to get the most expensive. The bed frame style I liked was not readily available in my color, however Nano showed me the special-order color in the catalog--perfect. The entertainment center was our biggest challenge: through questioning and lots of catalog-browsing, we found the perfect one. While waiting for my house, Nano kept me updated by email and phone on the status of my furniture. It was all actually ready for delivery before I closed on my house. Delivery happened as promised, and delivery personnel were polite and efficient. Now for the good part: though I loved the mattress' comfort, I was just too short (or old) to hoist myself onto it; had to use a stool. When I called Nano to explain, she said she absolutely understood and would get me a lower foundation. Sure enough, three days later I had the new foundation and the mattress-height was just perfect. What a wonderful experience, especially during the very stressful time of making a move! read more

The rating I put above isn't based on Evelyn (my sales person). She is wonderful to work with and I appreciate her enthusiasm and willingness to help me get things corrected. I also enjoyed working the Brad (designer) to help find the best furniture for my living room. Hudson's has nice quality furniture, great sales and service staff, and I like being able to shop using their financial service. I'm giving the store 4 stars because of the following: please be aware that they do not have a written return policy. Additionally, it took me by surprise when some of my furniture is taking longer than expected to arrive. Was told 6/28 (which is already a 2 month wait from when I ordered) and now its scheduled for 8/16 delivery. It's a little frustrating to wait this long for furniture. read more

Sales people wonderful but TERRIBLE customer care department! Anthony and Damietra were horrible. We had a warranty claim that the item ended needed to be replaced. It took 6 months to come in. I called and advised them we moved and updated our address which I also provided in several emails prior with the warranty claim pictures. When the time came in they had it set to go to the wrong address. When I called they said oh yeah I guess we didn't update it, ok we have to reschedule, that will be 3 more weeks. I asked if they had a buy back program and could we look to buy the warrantied item, they advised yes via text confirmations and said it would be $101.36. I have all the messages as receipt. They charged my card and the day the item was finally to be delivered again, again they had the delivery screwed up they said oh no we didn't sat 101, it's 658. They were rude, didn't own to their mistake. Didn't care all the extra time and work they caused those poor drivers, by the way who were so kind. I hate to say this again because sales and the drivers were amazing, but customer care was horrible don't buy from them unless you want to pay more than you agreed, get disrespected, and have zero value as their customer! read more

The furniture here is nice; I bought a bedroom set plus matress and got great service from the sales/floor staff and was happy with that process. This was our first "grown up furniture" purchase; up until this purchase, we had mismatched stuff we had either inherited or bought on Craigslist and we were ready to upgrade to nice matching sets. We purchased in early December, it was delivered on Dec 17. The delivery and post-delivery support is the reason for the bad review. I want any reader to keep in mind that this is not cheapo, Rooms To Go crappy quaity or Ikea lego snap-together furniture; I spent just shy of $8,000 on all my pieces (king bed, dresser, chest, 2 nightstands, high end memory foam matress) and expect $8,000 worth of quality out of the entire process. I had my furniture delivered a few weeks after purchasing it because I needed it delivered on a weekend, as I have a job to pay for said furniture and need to be there during the days of the week. When the furniture was delivered, it was delivered already assembled and the delivery team brought it to my bedroom. Most of the pieces were fine and delivered in good shape, but I had two problems: the dresser had a big hunk of one of the feet broken off (about a quarter of the 'foot' was gone) and this stood out rather distinctly as I had dark furniture and it was wood colored where the missing piece was, because they obviously can't paint/stain the inside of the wood. One of the drawers on this piece was filled with little chunks of styrofoam, which I assume resulted in breaking the styrofoam the parts shipped in and then not cleaning it up, which I had to do myself. My second problem was with the bed. There are three slats that support the box springs and each slat has two legs to support the slats. Two of the slats and their accompanying legs were put on just fine, but whoever did the third one completely halfassed it and put the slat on upside down, screwed the legs into it backwards, and that resulted in one of them ripping out. I know he put it on upside down because I noticed llittle chunks of broken wood and the fallen leg on the floor and looked at it, and lo-and-behold there is a damn sticker facing the ground that says "this side up" on it. Nice one. Also, one of them knocked over my alarm lamp that simulates the sun rising and broke the special bulb required to go in it. There was absolutely no offer to replace it, even after I specifically said that it was a special bulb I had to order and was not cheap (the replacement bulb was $27, by the way). I faxed the purchase order to Hudson's on 12-20-11 and as of 1-6-12 still have not heard a word about reimbursement for the bulb their staff broke. It took over two weeks (Jan 3rd) to get the repair guy to come fix the broken furniture. He would call, leave a message, then not return calls; when I finally got ahold of him and told him I wanted him to come out on a weekend and fix it, he got whiney about not having any jobs in my part of town (don't care, not my problem) and couldn't get out there except on a Tuesday. So not only did I deal with broken furniture for two weeks, I had to take a half-day off of work because I got a three hour window for the repair guy to come out and fix furniture that was delivered broken. Once he got out to my place, he took care of everything and my furniture has been fine ever since, and he did a good job repairing the broken bits. Final complaint-- I purchased during a "buy furniture, get a free TV" promotion. I asked the sales guy how I got the TV and he said a gift card/certificate to Best Buy would be delivered with my furniture. When I asked the delivery guys about it, they said they didn't have it and it would be mailed to me when they filed my paperwork and it should take a week or so to get to me. 6 days later (Dec 23) I called to follow up as I still hadn't seen it, and was told by customer service "the girl that handles those is on vacation and will be back next week" and to expect it a week after that. After all these shenanegans, I finally got it on Dec 30th and went to the waking nightmare that is Best Buy and got my TV. What a headache. Is this what people have to go through for nice furniture? I purchased a sectional from Hudson recently and couldn't be happier with the product itself! Very comfy and was a better purchase experience than my last attempt at buying a couch! I did give a 5 star review but I would like to point out a couple things. I was told I was going to receive a call the night before to ensure delivery was going to be on point. I never received call :( I had to call on the day of delivery to question if my delivery was on for that day.. They stated they messed up putting number in computer.. Very low-key, no pressure, and was always available and nearby to answer questions, but I didn't feel as if I was being stalked by a particularly thirsty vampire while in the store (different experience from some other stores). The salesman John Hudson was fabulous. The delivery people were fabulous. However less than a year and there is an area on this $2,000. (sale price) leather sofa where the material is splitting. Evidently the leather sofa is only leather where the body touches it. Upon calling customer service even though we paid hundreds for the extra "replacement policy" I am told they will come out and sew another piece in place of the one that is splitting. That is my only option?? The customer service person Mike was rude, flippant and condescending. This "repair" is taking over 2 months. We bought at Hudson's because their furniture is American made and supposed to be so much better. My previous furniture from Rooms to Go lasted way better in fact never had a problem. Amazing! White glove deliver service rocks. Let's start with exceeding our expectations on order time. Our sales agent said to prepare for approximately 12 weeks for bed to arrive. We received a call Wednesday 3 weeks after ordering to let us know our bed was in and they were ready to set up a delivery date for bed and mattress. We choice Friday and were given a 9am-12:00pm window. Received an email Thursday night to confirm. Received a call this morning and they were on our way. Arrived at 8:55am again exceeding our expectations. I apologize I don't have the crews names but they were lead by George K. They were friendly and were happy to be at our residence...happy! They placed a mat at the door walked with me to make sure we were on the same page and was told that "we got it". The bed and mattress were in and they had me inspect their work and thanked me for our business. They thanked me! This was our first experience with Hudson's Furniture and after this experience I can not image looking elsewhere. While the sales team was nice through the purchase process we had a horrible time with the customer service team. We contacted the store after we noticed the couch we purchased was no longer holding its form and were told we had to contact the customer service team. When we called to ask what could be causing this, the team informed us that we should be flipping the cushions on a regular basis. This information was new to us - months after we purchased the couch!! We probably would have kept looking for a couch if we knew this one would need this much maintenance. We tried to flip the cushions on a regular basis and sadly it did not help. We have a couch we paid WAY too much for for it to look like it is years old when it is just over one year. I would give them .5 stars if I could since I can only assume this is poor quality furniture and the reason it looks this bad. It is upsetting be this embarrassed by a couch and to feel stupid for investing money into something I am ashamed of showing to others. read more

In Nov. 2013, we purchased a leather loves seat for$1299.99. We also purchased an insurance policy which the sales person assured us would cover anything that goes wrong with the furniture. In May 2015, we had some cracking, peeling and discoloration of the leather. We filed an insurance claim on 5/27/15 and a technician was sent to inspect the loves seat. They responded saying that this problem was not covered by the insurance policy and that the problem was caused by the oil in my hair. We have had leather furniture and leather car seats that lasted up to 15 years with no problem. Hudson's eventually offered a $500 store credit. Hudson's misrepresented the quality of the furniture and the insurance policy that we purchased. The defective loves eat should be replaced and they should stop selling a useless insurance policy. Hudson was my first stop of three furniture stores. The staff was friendly and inviting gave me a chance to browse without pressuring which I really enjoyed. I hate going to store and they pressure to buy something. When I was ready Evelyn took me around and showed me some pieces. Evelyn was awesome and answered all of my questions. I don't mind spending money on quality furniture. I found several things I liked and purchased. My experience was nice and I will definitely buy there again. On June 23, 2017 I ordered several pieces of furniture,,sales invoice #246*****. When the Charleston entertainment center was delivered after the required 6 week "special order" wait and another 2 weeks for the delivery truck schedule. (August 9, 2017) The piece was damaged, broken in places and had the wrong screws and bolts to put it together. It was also dirty, I had wipe the dirt off it before it could be put together. I called customer service before it was put together and told "Anna" that I was refusing delivery and to cancel the entertainment center. She reluctantly agreed to let me refuse the order because I should contact the store directly instead. My salesman, Brian, was not working that day and the store manager had called in sick. I did not appreciate being told to contact a store where no one was available to help me. When Brian returned to work 2 days later, He told me that the entertainment center portion of the order cannot be canceled because it's special order. They would have to reorder it and I would have to wait another 6 weeks. I told him to simply not reorder it and refund the purchase price. He said that was impossible . I asked for the store manager who would not speak with me. Brian tried to redeliver the damaged furniture to me so that I would have "something" while I waited. I explained to him that would require me to take ANOTHER day off work to receive a damaged piece of furniture and then in 6 weeks ANOTHER day off work to receive what I hope would be an undamaged entertainment center. I explained that I cannot take additional time off work due to their error in sending me a damaged piece of furniture and making me wait another 6 weeks. I want the entertainment center order canceled and money refunded. I sent this email to the "contact us" link on their website on August 27, 2017 and immediately received the automated reply stating they would get back to me as soon as possible. Today is September 15, 2017 and i have yet to hear from ANYONE in response to this situation. I provided both a phone number and email address. I have never been so disappointed in a furniture store. The product is good, however if you enjoy being lied to, never getting call backs, or being short changed on refunds then this is the place. Ordered a bed for our son, in March 2013, expecting delivery in April. After no call back we found there was a problem with the manufacturer - Lea. We patiently waited through June, July and August occasionally calling and always being told it should arrive soon. After a while I was asked if I wanted the manufacturer to call. We said yes and no one called Hudson did deliver the mattress and box spring we ordered and supplied a metal frame due to the inconvenience. By September we decided enough was enough an requested a refund. We were refunded for the bed set but charged for the mattress, box spring and rails we did not order. When I called to complain, they stonewalled and told me they would get back to me. I called again the following week and again stonewalling with the offer to have the manager call me. This furniture store employs a slew of people that practice the "dirty salesperson" method. While selling you and making the sale, they talk as if they truly care but instantly after they are paid, they become completely indifferent to any concerns. Rita, the so called manager, speaks over you, fabricates details regarding ordering and delivery, and could care less. Nano, the salesperson, probably one of the "dirtiest" sales people I've ever had to deal with. We are now stuck with dealing with people with no morals. This store took our money, and now will not return calls, or deal with the very serious issue of delivering, poorly made, damaged furniture. I purchased about $8000 worth of furniture from Hudson's. I thought the quality was very good. The custom piece took a few months to arrive and when the date came and went no one called to say that there was a delay in the delivery. When talking to the sales reps everyone's response is "not my problem" and will provide a number to another person who will repeat the "not my problem" mantra. The custom piece that was around $4000 arrives a month later looks very low quality. Every piece of the sectional looks like it belongs to another set, the wood is chipped, there is glue, stains and holes. I would never recommend Hudson's and their customer service is a nightmare. read more

Brought an entertainment center and not in stock. They said it would be 2-3 weeks, a month later I start to call and told it may be another week. Finally the sales guy John calls to say only a portion of the center came and another 2 or 3 weeks for the rest of the center. But I can come to the store and give you a great deal on the floor sample. Get to the store and the doors on the sample don't slide. Told not sure when they can deliver the item have wait 3 days to see when it can be scheduled by my sales person. Not sure why the lady who was left to handle my visit couldn't do it. She really wanted no part of this mess. Especially when I pointed out the $99.00 charged for a 5 year warrenty that I never agreed to nor was it discussed at the time of purchase. At this point I ask for a refund and to see a manager. I am told it would have to go through corporate to get a check to me sometime the following week. Oh and to see a manager, wait 3 days before I can even get the process moving for a refund. I wonder if there is a manager at this store. read more
