This store has been open for about three years now and I've watched it grow and even move to a bigger and nicer location! The furniture is always a very nice quality. What they offer ranges from bedroom sets, mattresses, living room furniture, dining room sets to paintings, lamps, decor, and so much more! The rhyming was unintentional, but let's roll with it! ;) The owners have a quick response time to phone calls and are extremely friendly and very helpful over the phone. Great service! Worst business practices ever.... first..he posts lower prices online but charges you a higher price in store...then when furniture comes..I and both drivers see damage on loveseat..I immediately try to reach Mark..call..leave message..guess he never checks his vm..texted..no response. So because I have no furniture I ask drivers can they at least get the chair from the set out so I have something to sit on...it was almost 8pm by now..they were obviously exhausted..told me they were fairly new and had 2 more deliveries..but no they would just take everything back...so when I finally get Mark..he tells me there's no damage..I said we all saw it..the black driver even took a picture..he then tells me I'm a racist...and there's no damage..why in the world would I not accept it.. having no furniture unless there was damage..the drivers then took it upon themselves to not get rest of the set off the truck...then Mark would not let me talk..just keeps saying there's no damage.. and then texts me that when he returns it to Ashley's..they'll charge him 20% and that will be passed on to me.. He is the liar..he listed the set on fb marketplace...I did not even sign the invoice btw.... So if my entire 4155.90 is not returned to me..next step BBB..channel 9 consumer issues and a lawsuit if need be... Do yourself a favor..avoid this place at all costs...it's all nice with these people until you have an issue and then....they turn on you...I'd give 0 stars if I could... read more

They really need better customer service skills, offered to fix the issues with our king bedroom set but never cared to follow through it. Our couch set that was purchased new got delivered and has scratches/scuffs on it from the delivery guys. Delivery people from our bedroom set and couch set delieverys had no idea about anything. Disappointed because our experience with kendrys in their store started so well but by the end of our transactions we just ended disappointed and upset we spent so much money at a place that doesn't care. read more

I purchased 3 items, a love seat, a bed and a dresser. The bed came in broken. The dresser was defective and unusable. The love seat was damaged. Had a 2nd love seat delivered. It has fallen apart. The dresser took 6 months of calls to get a second. They did replace the bed. They subjected me to repair men and multiple deliveries. I spent so much time trying to get these 3 lousy pieces of furniture that I wasn't even concerned about the payment. Now I found out that there technically is no "credit interest rate" but a $2,000 finance charge. Beware of these deceptive business practices. read more

Beware! I sold on consignment with Kendry's only to learn their practice of recording furniture for sale was terrible. Either that, or dishonest. Lots seemed to vanish. When a check never arrived, as long as a year later, I had to call at least 3 times to give my address, knowing full well he had it. Further into my dispute, Kendry claimed at least one major piece was "damaged". This, after I was assured it would get a higher price over the lesser bedroom set. Then it gets worse. I purchased a new king set. Within about 6 months, i was/am not able to open and close the drawers of the chest that goes with a set that has 20 drawers. Kendry's response, again with knowledge I moved from the area, was to say "just bring it in 'Luv' and we will take a look!" Fabulous family owned furniture store. New and used with excellent prices. We bought an Ashley love seat recliner and sofa and absolutely love them. Very happy with price and delivery. There was a mess up on our delivery day from a Friday to Monday, so they even waived the delivery fee for the inconvenience. Hard to get this kind of personal and professional service from the big chain stores. We would not hesitate to make the drive next time we have need of anything! Thank you so much, guys! read more

Store is kept clean and organized. I purchased a Queen mattress set, and am fully satisfied. Prices shown on both website and store were accurate. Staff (particularly Mike) was extremely helpful, friendly, and showed that he personally cares for the needs of clients. Mike was also helpful in offering pros/cons to other furniture bed pieces. What I absolutely admired was the convenience at which the store delivered my furniture. They went out of their way to delivery according to my work schedule and within the predicted time period (something not very common among other furniture delivery companies). Of note, I live 45 min away from the store. I am also very satisfied with the quality of the bed set (looks brand new and easy to assemble with a standard tool kit). The purpose of this complaint is to outline poor business practices by Kendry's Furniture, 20180 US 27, Clermont, Florida, raise awareness to this situation, receive my refund, and prevent it from happening to other customers in the future. Summary of issues: 1. Failure to deliver product as promised 2. Disrespectful customer service 3. Fraudulent contract documentation to secure payment I placed my order 30 days ago, cancelled it 20 days ago due to frustration/poor communication, and I am still being charged due to dishonest contract fulfillment! I had to file a grievance with the Better Business Bureau (BBB CASE#: 90210180) ------------ Full story: I ordered a sectional couch online through Kendry's Furniture on March 18, 2018. The store endorsed Acima financing for a 90-day same-as-cash payment option, which I qualified for and decided to take advantage of. The contract stated that it would become active upon the delivery of the furniture. When I placed the order online, the sales agent said that the sectional would be delivered to me within 7-10 days, and an employee would call me to schedule a delivery time. On March 28th (10 days after my order was placed) I still did not receive a call from Kendry's Furniture. I called them and inquired as to when my furniture would be delivered. I spoke with Mark Kendry, and he informed me that my furniture arrived at their warehouse that day, and "was scheduled" for Friday, March 30th, and someone would call me with a more specific time. This was an issue because I was not consulted about the delivery day and needed to take the day off work to accept delivery. On the evening of Thursday, March 29th, I called Kendry's Furniture again and asked what time they were going to deliver my furniture the following day because they never informed me of the delivery window. I spoke with Mark Kendry again, and he told me that they would be unable to deliver my furniture on Friday (as promised) because they did not yet receive my furniture from their warehouse. This contradicted what he told me days previous. He then told me that the initially quoted "7-10 days" was actually "7-10 business days to be delivered to the warehouse, not the customer", which also contradicted what I was told upon placing my order. I had already waited 10+ days for a sectional and was very unhappy with the experience with Kendry's Furniture so far. Because my sectional would not arrive as promised, and Mark could not tell me exactly when it would be delivered to me, I asked for him to cancel my order. He became very disrespectful on the phone and hung up on me! He ended up assuring me that the order would be cancelled, therefore initiating a refund of my deposit and stopping automatic payments of my financing. On Friday, April 6th I saw that my account was charged for the first installation of my furniture payment. I called Acima credit, and they informed me that Kendry's Furniture had not cancelled the contract which is why I was charged. I immediately sent Mark a text message (shown below) asking for resolution. He promised to have it cancelled. Today, April 16th, I checked back with Acima and was informed that the contract has still not been cancelled by Kendry's Furniture. In an attempt to stop payments on furniture I don't have, I re-read the contract to see if Acima was even authorized to withdraw funds from my account. Per the contract, the lease becomes active upon delivery confirmation of the furniture, which initiates payment. Acima manager Kimberly (801-297-1982) informed me that Kendry's Furniture fraudulently CONFIRMED DELIVERY to my address in order for payment to be released to them. Acima tried to reach out to Kendry's Furniture to resolve this but was unsuccessful in reaching an employee. I originally decided to purchase from Kendry's because of the positive reviews and because it is a family business. I would rather support a small business and save a few dollars, but this decision has ended up being a huge nightmare and is still costing me money! read more

Great store! Owned by a family business, so the customer service is very friendly. They care very much about their customers and do whatever it takes to make a customer happy with their purchase. Very quick delivery and a lot easier to deal with than these big retailers. Compared to a city furniture or a rooms to go, they are way better priced for the same quality furniture and you don't have to wait 3 weeks for delivery. Can't be happier with my purchase! caution!!! do not buy from this company!!! if your furnature is damaged, they will not exchange for non-defective item. they will make you wait months and just keep sending a guy out to " fix it" . my problem with this is that i am paying $2,000 for a new wrap around couch. i was told i can not exchange it or return it and if i stop payment, i would just have to deal with the finanace company. this is what i get for useing a mom and pop local company. this sucks!!! read more

I just received my brand new Ashley power reclining sofa from Kendrys Furniture and it's FANTASTIC! The whole buying experience was just great! Spent a ton of time shopping around and the prices at Kendrys Furniture store just can't be beat, and I mean anywhere in the country! I looked at all the online furniture stores that deliver nationwide and Kendrys Furniture was the best! Saved hundreds of dollars from the big name stores. Mark, the owner, took my order after store hours over the phone. Then I met Spencer the manager and kept me informed on the status of my order. They called when it arrived at their warehouse and arraigned a delivery date and time that would work for me. Delivery day they messaged me when they were a hour away and then at delivery the two fine young men were very professional and set up my sofa just where it needed to go. Everything was fine til it got to delivery - was days later than we were told, then they tried to deliver a blue couch to us when we ordered gray. Then the delivery guys brought us our couch - then it did not turn out to be a sofa bed like I asked for. When my husband called to tell them that, he gets told WE would be charged a 25% re-stocking fee for THEIR mistake! read more

Would not recommend this store. Customer service is non existent. Purchased a leather sofa and ottoman and had it delivered. During delivery the couch was badly damaged. Upon contacting mark we where told that "he is not responsible and that delivery means only to the sidewalk " ( the delivery persons entered our home , moved existing furniture and placed the sofa, Then after a heated phone conversation, advising Mark of the situation, where Mark chose to hung up on me several times. Mark finally agreed to send someone to look at the damage. A man named Randy visited my home and assessed the damage. Was then contacted by Mark and was told he would not repair the damaged couch because I had "left a bad review" regarding there customer service on Facebook. Now at the point will have to contact the BBB and then a civil suit if no remedy at the BBB. read more

It is very disappointing that after purchasing a new Ashley motorized love seat from Kendry's on January 26, 2018 I can't get it fixed. Around October it started making a popping noise about 2/3 to the fully reclined position. After getting fully reclined the left corner of the foot rest sags down. I contacted Mark Kendry on Dec 2, 2019 and sent photos at his request to have a service technician come look at it while it is still under the one year parts and labor warranty. No response from the owner for 14 days! Fast forward to Dec 16th still no word so we drove back down the Clermont to the store to get an update. After talking with Spencer we were assured the technician would contact us the next day. Fast Forward to Dec 18th had a very disturbing conversation with Spencer on the phone who basically just wanted to make excuses that nothing had happened and supposedly it was my fault the service technician never contacted me. Fast forward to Dec 20th still no word from anyone. I'm convinced most of the complaints on this business are legitimate. I called the Ashley Corporate office and you can't really talk to a real person the message tells you to contact the store where you purchased the furniture. Next stop BBB. I'd say purchase at this location at your own risk and pray you never need service. read more
