We have all the furniture under a covered lanai and within 6 months enjoying our patio, we noticed the cushions' covers started discoloring. Our navy blue covers started changing into white. When I called the store and spoke to the manager on duty, I was told that she did not have any power to do anything, but instead gave me the name and phone number from the owner named Jhonny, who is based in Miami. When I spoke to Jhonny, his answer to the issue was: " I do not recommend buying the navy blue color covers because they always have the discoloration problem". Great answer from the owner, maybe they should had told me that at the store when I bought it. I asked for new covers, as my furniture were not only 6 months old, but his customer service answer was: " please read your bill again, as cushions' covers are not part of the warranty. I can sell you new ones a discounted price". We have recommend this store to 2 other friends, who had the same issue and when I mentioned it to Jhonny, his answer was: "have them calling me, not the store". I told him I would not recommend his business to anyone, due to quality of his product and TERRIBLE customer service. It seemed like he did not care about it. Conclusion: Stay AWAY from this place!!!

It was a significant purchase, so I wanted to check out some styles in store before I bought. I found Patio Furniture Emporium on google, so I thought I'd check them out. The hours posted online showed them being open until 7pm. I drove to the location, and when I got there the store was dark. A small sign on the door said "Closed today, call XXX-XXX-XXXX with questions." I figured it might be a one time thing, so I figured I'd try again tonight. I drove to the location again and found the same sign today. At this point, I was frustrated that a reputable establishment with such an online presence was conducting business in such a way. I called the phone number on the sign and a man picked up. I said that I have visited twice in the past two days to buy some furniture and that I had found the sign in the door, and I asked when he would be open again. He immediately called me a liar for saying I had seen the sign twice and confirmed he'd be in the office tomorrow. I assured him that I was there, and he again insisted that I was lying. I promptly told him that I would no longer be looking to purchase and that he had lost my business. He proceeded to hang up on me. I understand personal issues come up, but it is clear this is just how this man runs his business. In addition, there was 0 effort for service recovery when I called. I would recommend staying far away, and this kind of behavior over the phone will translate to the customer service you receive when working with them.

Since it has been less than a year we contacted an office send in pictures and this was their reply-from Mary Patton-We submitted the warranty claim; unfortunately, we cannot replace the countertop because the damage was not caused by a manufacturing defect. The Countertop has a LIMITED lifetime warranty covering original workmanship defects. You have a one year warranty covering original workmanship defects in topside and edge band surfaces. As with ANY stone/granite surface, chips and cracking may occur. If you are interested, we can sell you a replacement countertop at a reduced price. The fact that there are two similar cracks at corners suggests a stress or fabrication issue rather than a single accidental impact. Yet they can't help me. Don't waste your money as they are not cheap! Still waiting on them to reply to my last email.

A Walk Through IKEA: A Test of Stamina, Direction, and Job Flexibility…read more January 10, 2026 My first serious trip to IKEA made me realize that this is not just a furniture store. It's a carefully designed one-way journey. The layout is extremely thoughtful--so thoughtful that it's almost impossible to visit just one section. Whether you're there to buy a single mug or simply "have a look," you will be guided through the entire store. I managed to do even better than that. I got lost. Not only did I get lost, I walked part of it twice. The most important detail: I was wearing four-inch stilettos. In IKEA, those are not shoes. They're a personal challenge. After what felt like a full hike, I finally reached the exit and thought I was done. That's when the real test began - checkout. Most stores at least give you options: self-checkout or cashier-assisted checkout. IKEA is very decisive. Self-checkout only. So there I was, scanning items, bagging them myself, slowly realizing I had taken on a new role. The screen even politely asked: "Are you a member?" I couldn't help laughing. I had just become a temporary cashier, without an employee discount, and without a paycheck. And then came the final surprise. At the exit - nothing. At Costco, for example, there's always someone checking receipts. At IKEA, the exit is completely empty. For a moment, you might think this reflects IKEA's deep trust in its customers. Then another thought occurs to you: maybe they also saved the salary of that employee. By the end of this IKEA trip, I had completed: a full-store walk, a detour with repetition, a high-heel endurance test, a self-checkout internship, and a quiet reflection on trust and cost control. Next time, I'll wear flat shoes. As for the salary and staff discount - I won't get my hopes up. I spent $53.69 in total that day. $29.95 went to pear-flavored sparkling water. Which means over half of my IKEA budget was... hydration. IKEA: where your legs get a workout, your patience is tested, and your self-checkout skills improve... all in one visit. I guess I overestimated my ability to wear high heels. I may have slightly overestimated my high-heel endurance. In hindsight, I clearly overestimated my ability to survive IKEA in high heels. I confidently assumed I could handle high heels at IKEA. I was wrong.
