Well we stopped in tonight around 8:15pm to grab a quick bite to eat before we jumped back on the road. Joshua ordered (1) 10/ pcs. Parmesan Ckn. Bites w/ fries, Texas toast and fountain drink. Then I ordered a med. fry and grilled chicken salad. Like most fast food establishments they also have a drive-thru window and take online orders for pick up. Since we were in the box truck we came inside to place our order. It had been over 15 min. since they took our order and well still no food. I decided to walk up to the counter. Something tells me they either cleared it from their screen in back or just skipped it all together. Not too much longer and we finally had our food. I thought I took a good look at it, but unfortunately before we left the parking lot I noticed I was missing my fries. Seriously. I knocked on the door and thankfully they were still inside filling drive thru orders. They quickly boxes me up a fresh batch fries. I was a little disappointed that it took awhile, but overall the taste and freshness was delicious. As a reminder this was our first time trying Huey Magoo's. Hopefully if we ever return our experience will be a tad bit different, but I'm def. willing to come back and try something else odd their menu. I did like seeing the assortment of menu items. I am a Chick-fil-a girl, but compared to many other chicken joints this one will get my business again. Yelp apparently wants me to describe the ambience of the restaurant. This location is in a shopping center so there is ample parking. Walked in to warm service ready to help. I was new to the city and the venue so didn't know what to order. The cashier recommended the Magoo sandwich and she did not fail! That was the BEST chicken sandwich I've had. I was two huge bites in before I thought to take a picture. The fries were "okay", although I prefer mine with a bit more crunch- that would have gotten them a "great". I wish I had the time to have eaten there twice. Staying close by and needed a quick lunch. Liked the chance to have chicken tenders either baked or fried. Ordering was easy, meal was good, and price was just right. Tenders were perfect and went well with the dipping sauce. Fires were average, but Texas toast was a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend if in the area and need a quick meal. read more

I was on the fence about whether I should give a three or four. The employee took my order was very polite and very helpful as this was my first time. The two young ladies at the window where I paid and got my food had beautiful smiles, and were very sweet. The service is quick, but let's get to the food. I was craving a salad, so I ordered the buffalo with breaded tenders salad. When I tell you that they toss those tenders in a ridiculous amount of buffalo sauce, I am not kidding. My salad was in edible. The greens were fresh, the salad dressing is made in house and delicious, but those tenders were soaked, swimming, drowned in buffalo sauce. Quality tenders, albeit swimming in sauce. Such a disappointment for my first experience at Huey Magoos but I will try again, only I will never get Buffalo tenders there again. Hard to mess up chicken and fries. Let's talk about their unfair labor practices. Huey Magoos advertises $9-$15 an hour (including tips). Aside from ringing up the food and a 10 ft walk to bring it to the table, there's no interaction that warrants a customer to tip. Huey Magoos is fast casual. I consider it abhorrent for employers to avoid paying livable wages to their team. Pay your people more. Don't ask me for a tip. If you can't run a sustainable business without taking advantage of your customers AND employees, you don't deserve to be in business. Fries too salty. Chicken greasy. No paper towels in the bathroom. Teenage employees don't care. As a former restaurant server and bartender, I won't be back. read more

I decided to try Huey Magoo's since I was at the Pearl outlets doing some shopping. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with the pepper jack cheese with a side of fries and a large sweet tea. When I came to the window, I was given the wrong drink first off. I understand mistakes happen; granted when I told the young lady at the window about my drink being wrong, she gave me my correct one no problem. Secondly I asked for an extra ranch and I was charged $.65 extra, which is fine but when I opened the ranch there was hardly any in there. The ranch was about a quarter till empty. When I opened my food, to my surprise the buffalo wrap was DOUSED in sauce. hardly edible. Very soggy & very messy; not to my expectation at all. If this is how this restaurant runs after just opening up, they will not be receiving my business anymore. Nor was I given my receipt for the order when told I would receive it at the second window where i received my food. But overall food quality i would rate 2/5 for sure. Only reason I wouldn't rate 1/5 is because the girl at the window handling the food was so nice, and they gave napkins in the bag, which is nice! However, even Zaxby's is better than this. read more

The food is always great but the staff at this location is HORRIBLE! I came in with my friend (so just two people) at around 8:45 and they had locked the doors. They close at 9:30 and there were other customers still in the building. Instead of sending someone out to talk to us they kept shrugging at us through the window. But there were 2 cashiers standing outside walking up to the cars taking the customers orders. So Im thinking "cool. So when I "almost" made it to the board to order my food, one of the girls walks up to my car & asks me what I want.
