When I went in for procedure I discovered that I hadn't really been told anything I would need to know to be ready for it and decided not to go through with it that day. I asked for a refund for the consultation since it didn't adequately prepare me for the procedure and was scolded by the receptionist for "wasting their time and money." Dr. Huey seems to view his patients as a source of income and nothing more. During the appointment he said "whatever happens after the root canal is none of my business," to deflect my concerns about the lack of information he had given.

On top of all of this, I'm pretty sure I do need a root canal (even though he said I don't need one)...because I had a "large filling" done by my dentist and I'm in horrible pain. I refuse to go back to this guy...I have some dental anxiety and I could tell just how he treated me for that short period of time I would not be obliged any compassion or patience from this man.

After only two appointments a mix up on procedures was never explained. All that was done was to protect his reputation. I spoke with Ashley in trying to determine why the evening after my root canal when I bent over my left nostril would drip liquid. She told me it had nothing to do with my root canal. I explained I had no problem prior to the root canal. I mentioned I had done some research online and it shows that there is a condition called "sinus communication" which may occur after the procedure and I was curious if it could be what was going on. It has now been 2-3 days since the procedure, and I still have it. She was rude and callous and told me to "Stop right there" when I spoke of the internet and that I should not be looking online for answers. I told her I was advocating for myself since I left a message the same day as the surgery and was told I would get a call back the next day and did not. My husband is supposed to have a root canal as well, but it will not be with that office. Was I a bit testy. Yes, I was. She got back what she was giving me. Unfortunately, the doctor has lost our business in the future, due to an unsympathetic and rude staff member by the name of Ashley.

They said they had no record that the first appointment was cancelled and so couldn't prioritize my second appointment. Whoever is treating me (whether a dental assistant or Dr. Ruff himself) I get an explanation of what is going to be done and then after, a discussion about the results. Despite common delays of payment from insurance companies, their billing statements have been reasonably soon and always accurate. What I do wonder about Yelp is why there are at least eleven postings about quality care that aren't factored into the overall rating.
