My wife and I are very disappointed with Huffman koos and I'm sorry to say I would not recommend purchasing any furniture from huffmannkoos and here is why.. we purchased a faux leather recliner sofa and love seat by cat napper $3500 however they did not have this model on the floor.... but we were assured by the salesman (Fabian) that it was identical in appearance, texture and comfort to similar models on the floor ... ie the set we purchased was not on display but our sales man fabian assured us over and over again that the images of the set shown on his desk top computer were identical to those of other models on the floor..so against my better judgement ....we went ahead with the purchase .. and as you might guess when it was delivered to our home upstate NY ( over 3.5 hrs away) the fabric was micro fiber ( not faux leather), and the cushions are like sitting on cinder blocks.. and so after speaking to Lisa At the Corp office she said sorry nothing we can do in spite of the fact that we asked for a return and store credit to be used toward a more expensive set which we were happy to pay for if they would exchange it but our requests were repeatedly denied.. and to make matters worse we paid an extra $250 for delivery and the furniture got delivered at 10 pm at night in the middle of a rainstorm upstate Ny after being told it would be delivered between 10am-2:30... and so when we called 2x at 3 pm and 5 pm we were told the truck broke down and would arrive at 840 pm so we waited and it arrived at 10 pm which resulted in us driving back down to long island in a rain storm and didn't get home until 2 am... so after explaining all of this to Lisa From the corporate office she said sorry nothing I can do... which is a disgrace IMHO...and so if your thinking of buying furniture from Huffman koos in farmingdale (or any other HK store)... Very hungry sharks. Also very shady business practice. Wife and I went to Huffman to look at furniture and she fell in love with a coffee table. Purchased it, was told it was final sale and it would take about a week to arrive. We were also told we would receive a call to pick it up. 2 weeks go by, no call. Then finally, warehouse calls and said it's ready for delivery but we were promised in store pick up to avoid delivery fee. Another week goes by and I go I to the store, not there yet. I got in a few days later, still not arrived. By this point, we're upset it's taking so long. So we look around and find the same table at another furniture store.half the price. Then we see on Huffman koo website. It's selling for a little less than 3/4 the price!! So we are mad at this point. But you know what, they got us on "final sale" so not much we can do about it. To start, one star is way too generous for this location. The management, the staff and their products are by far the worst and most unprofessional I have ever dealt with. We bought a whole bedroom WITH mattress included, only to get a used and old set delivered (different from the one displayed on the store). The movers destroyed the walls and floors, trying to make arrangements to the bed because they didn't even bring the correct pieces. It's been 2 months almost, we have been trying for them to come pick this piece of garbage out of my house, and all we have been able to reach is clown after clown with no resolution. If I would have know this from the start, I would have never gone into business with them. It's interesting to find this store got either very good or super bad reviews below. Generally, I am among the happy customers. We bough a sofa set years before from here, and we were not very actively looking for the replacement recently. Their sales department left the message about their President's Day sale, it reminded me why not give them another try. We stopped by twice during last weekend, and got the deal done. They have lots of bilingual sales representatives, so even the customers who don't speak good English can still communicate effectively. The supposed delivery was set on Saturday. On Friday afternoon I received a reminding call and gave a four hours window for the delivery next day. And today I received another call 10 minutes before the arrival. The delivery people were nice and professional. And we are pretty satisfied with our new sofa set. read more

Purchased a table and chairs October 2021 from Huffman Koos. Within two weeks two chairs broke (the bottom cross bars). Also every chair was uneven and we were told by the repair man that table and chairs were poorly made. Within three months 6 of the 8 chairs broke. They did send service men out to repair the chairs (4 times since October). Repair men tell us one thing and go back to the company and tell the company something different. They did replace three chairs. We still have 3 chairs that need to be replaced. We are told waiting for replacement pieces. In the mean time we were told not to use the chairs. Waiting already 6 months for repairs on our new table and chairs. Buyer beware, do your homework ,before purchasing anything from Huffman Koos. Everyone, I just need to get this out here but what A GARBAGE PLACE! Like seriously. My boyfriend and I shopped around for a dining room table for about a month, found the perfect one at Huffman Koos and then it turned into a nightmare. We ordered everything with Steve R and he said it would be delivered on Friday, we paid, he even gave us a discount and then guess what! It didn't show on Friday. My boyfriend took the day off from work, waiting for something that never showed. He's so nice, he didn't call until I got home and I called non-stop until I got an answer. They apologized and said the warehouse returned the table and they can't help us until Monday. Mind you, we paid almost $2000 for this table and one of us wasted a day from work, so waiting to hear back until Monday wasn't going to cut it. He doesn't have the nerve to call me back, so we call again and a woman name Veronica tells us it will come Monday. Well today is Monday, and our expected time is 12-4 (same as Friday), and my boyfriend already had today off so no big deal. Ha! Surprise surprise 4p rolls no one shows. He calls the store and they said "oh we meant 4:30." Well 4:30 comes, delivery shows up but GUESS WHAT! Missing chairs, missing pieces, brand New table is scratched. My husband and I went to Hoffman Koos 86-46 Queens blvd NY 11373 and we were greeted by Ramon. I was looking for a dining room set and Ramon made sure we found exactly what I have been looking for. He didn't push us into purchasing something we weren't exactly sure we wanted and he also took his time showing us the different sets he had in the store and ones he could order for us.Also not to mention our price was defiantly unbeatable!! But the warehouse keeps postponing. I had to cancel my order. But they've yet to issue my return. I even spoke to someone in their NJ headquarters, by the name of Sam Davis. I caught his word play on a refund. He insisted that I return to the Queens Blvd location to continue searching for a couch. I caught the sales tactic and said "to be clear, I want the refund on my deposit. I do not want this deposit to be transferred towards another purchase." My wife and I came into the store and fell in love with one of their couches. Icing on the cake was it was a floor sample and getting a reduced price! Store processing was fine however when it came time for delivery the movers tore the bottom and sides of the couch. They tell me to phone into corporate for repairs. I speak with Marcia Kendrick from their Fairfield center and she tells me she will work on having a specialist come to fix the repairs. Its been over 4 months and zilch, nada, no follow up! To anyone considering buying furniture from Huffman Koo's, I implore you to read this review in its entirety so you can avoid the nightmare that my family and I, and so many before us, have had to endure. We placed a furniture order in August 2015. We worked with sales rep Daniel Mishayev and store manager Eli Mishayev. Daniel was honest and helpful, but Eli was condescending and deceitful. He told us lies related to his inventory that, were it not for Daniel, we would have believed to be true (such as telling us a certain couch was all-leather, after Daniel had already told us it wasn't). When we corrected him, he told us we were wrong. Then when Daniel corrected him, his response was just, "Oh, really? Anyway...." Eli also lied to us about their $299 furniture insurance program. He told us if we didn't utilize the service, we would get our "money back" (verbatim) after the end of the coverage period. After unwittingly purchasing the insurance plan, I read through the info packet and learned that you do NOT get the money back--only STORE CREDIT. Moreover, when you use said store credit to purchase a new item, you will be REQUIRED to purchase ANOTHER insurance plan. Essentially, you will NEVER get your money back, and this is their way to compel you to buy all future furniture from them. After we made our purchase, Eli told us about their supposed mutually beneficial CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SURVEY, which will give the sales rep a bonus from corporate and us, the customers, a $50 credit to use on a future purchase. I completed the survey, and received no such credit. We were told our furniture would be ready for delivery in 4 months, mid-December. In November, I called to get a more accurate expected delivery date, and was told January 4th. January 7th rolls around and still, nothing, so I called again. It was then that I was finally informed that the furniture material I ordered had been discontinued!! When I asked why I wasn't informed of this earlier, the rep (her name was Dierdre, I believe) told me the manufacturer said that the customer (me) had been notified and that I had reselected a different material. Lies!! When I asked for a refund, she told me that I would have to cancel my order and be subject to a 20% cancellation fee, despite the fact that THEY made the error. After arguing with the sales rep to no avail, I asked to speak with a manager. Unsurprisingly, "the manager is busy with a customer," so he'll call me back. Rightfully, I didn't hold my breath; I never got a call back. I then called Huffman Koo's customer service. The rep I spoke to (her name was Claudia) told me that not only will I be subject to the 20% cancellation fee, the remaining 80% will only come back in the form of STORE CREDIT. I couldn't believe my ears. I would get NO money back, even though they couldn't provide me with the item I originally paid for. The next day, I went in to the store. I spoke with the customer service manager, Thomas Warden. At the end of a long discussion, he tells me he'll "try" to compensate me for the inconvenience and, if I wanted, he would "send an email to upper management" requesting a refund. Judging by the reviews of past Yelpers, this was probably an attempt to pacify me; I would never see this so-called refund. I finally decided I would no longer deal directly with Huffman Koo's. I went straight to my credit card company and disputed the charge, and got the entire amount refunded to me. I have also notified the Better Business Bureau and my local news stations. FYI--I also consulted with an attorney, who informed me that courts view penalties in contracts unfavorably, especially given non-performance and breach of contract (in my case, not providing me with the item I originally purchased). I hope this information is helpful to those who may find themselves deceived by Huffman Koo's. read more

My experience at Huffman koos. I went there a few weeks back after leaving Macy's furniture. The place is big with any style furniture you may be looking for. We were greeted promptly and asked what we were looking for. After looking around we narrowed it down to two sets of bedroom furniture. The salesman took his time and give us details on both sets. We picked the one we liked payed for it then left. On the way home I read some of the reviews here and became very nervous. It did help that a couple of friends of mine had purchased bedroom sets from hoffman koos a couple of years ago and are very happy with their furniture. Yesterday I got a call saying my furniture would be in today. The delivery guys showed up on time had all my furniture and were extremely nice. This place deserves to go out of business. I ordered my bed set from them which arrived the last week of May. Mind you I paid the whole item off in full in February. When the bed set came... it was missing the headboard, footboard and rails. I only had 2 nightstands and one of the nightstands needed repair. They told me the part would come in 18weeks later. To make matters worse I slept on the floor for 2 months. I finally receive the rest of the bed on 7/11/15. They come and install the bed wrong. No way to put in a box spring. They left out a bunch of screws, damaged the left corner of the bed, drilled directly into the sides leaving the bed with permanent holes where there shouldn't be, did not install the LED lighting, and then had the audacity to ask for a good review over the phone. I called and complained to Huffman Koos directly, to the phone number they provided, to the email they provided and finally I got in touch with a Janet Isabella. She said she'd have an exchange ready for me by the week of July 27. Its July 29th... how much you guys want to bet I sleep on the floor for another 8 weeks? After I purchased the bed, they were not giving me updates (delivery) regarding the mattress. I have to call them myself and ask for delivery dates. I walked in here to check out some coffee tables and quickly I was greeted by an older Asian man. He was really nice welcomed us to the store and let us browse. After a few minutes, another salesman approached us.His name was Alex Soto. He was really awesome. He was really upbeat and enthusiastic about selling furniture. He really made us feel welcomed in that store. He joked around with us (he speaks English and Spanish) and explained to us that they were having a 52 year anniversary so the prices on the tag weren't discounted yet. Alex was really friendly and I would be glad to come back here. The store does have a nice selection of furniture and the prices aren't that bad. Its also a very big store. I didn't realize it had 3 floors full of furniture. I totally recommend this store. Service is great and so are their furniture. And I would like to thanks Alex Soto, for the great service. I saw a mattress I liked in the showroom, and made an order. The mattress that I received was not the same! The quality wasn't the same, and the mattress was damaged. The store would not let us to exchange the mattress, and the customer service was horrible. Mr Manger Eli was very rude. We were freud and lied to. Worst delivery service EVER! They gave me a 6 hour window and made arrangements to call me up 1hr before the delivery (because I was at work) but didn't do it. They called me when they were at my door and when I rushed to get home they didn't have all of the pieces needed to put it together! So the next day they said they would return and will definitely call me 1 hour before arriving. AGAIN they didn't do it!! When I told the delivery guy what was suppose to happen he yelled at me and told me that he wasn't going to wait and I would have to reschedule. After many calls with the not-at-all helpful customer service at the location the delivery man finally appeared 6 hours later at night and put it together and had a huge attitude the whole time. I never received an apology from the management or anything after making several complaints. Worst customer service there is. I wish I could give 0 stars. My mother purchased a drawer set which they said they provided in a dark brown, so that it would match the other furniture in her house. Upon delivery the furniture arrived in black. She told the delivery guys that is not what she ordered and they began to tell her that she is wrong. After a long hassle they agreed to take the furniture back. My mother then called and asked where the furniture is that she ordered and they said that they don't have the furniture in the color she originally ordered. My mother asked for a refund which was agreed to. It has been a month now and still no refund. Any calls to the store are either not answered or someone gives you the run around saying that the person you need to speak to isn't there. We will NEVER do business with Huffman Koos again. If I could give zero stars, I would. My sales rep was Joe Margand and a Russian man. They were both very nice when I was in the store purchasing my sofa. I was there for quite some time, went across the street to Macy's to compare, then came back and finally purchased a sectional sofa. This was on 9/20/15. I was told it would take 12-16 weeks for delivery (and that is the lead time on the contract I signed). They said they would try to get it in for December but it might be January due to the holidays. No problem. The 16 weeks pass and I do not hear from them. Jan 13, I email Joe, leave a VM and have to call back every hour in order to get someone on the phone. I spoke to someone named Peter. He said they made a mistake and the lead time should actually be 16-20 weeks and that the sofa will be in warehouse on Feb 9, at that time someone will call to collect the rest of my balance and schedule delivery. I ask if they can do anything for me (e.g. shorten the lead time, take any $$ off the balance) and he says he will send an email to find out but he gets a lot of emails every day so he might not be able to follow up...what? I ask him to copy Joe on the email so someone can let me know what is going on. On Jan 15 I email Joe again to ask if there are any updates, no response. Today is Feb 16. I still have not once been contacted by anyone from Huffman Koos. I called again today and spoke with Daidre (sp?). She said the furniture reached the port but has not yet been delivered to the warehouse. I let her know I will be away after next week until the middle of March, she said she would call me back to provide a delivery date. Since it is now over 20 weeks, I asked again if anything could be done for me. She offered a $100 gift certificate to the store but I declined because I would not like to do business with this store again. She said she would see if they could do anything else. As of now, I have been provided with three different lead times, all of them have passed and I still do not have my furniture, not once has anyone followed up with me or returned any emails or VMs. The only way I have gotten in touch with someone is by constantly calling until someone answers and even then, all that happens is the delivery date keeps getting pushed further out. Here's the deal with this place it's a trap! They charge you upfront and make you wait for all the credit card payments clear then they send out the goods which may or may not arrive in excellent condition, which either way your stuck with because it's in their contract. I was told my stuff will come in 1 week then told next week now the night before I call and they say it's a special order that will take 4-6 weeks. Only after the fact, I went on Yelp and read all these horror nightmare stories for all their locations which shows this is how they conduct their business every where and not just at this store. So now I'm out almost $4,000 and both my furniture and my $$ is held hostage and there's nothing I can do about it because of their "contract" which I didn't read (100% negligence on my end). Now a friend of mine purchased a bed frame plus a mattress from them 5 months ago and was told that the color she wanted would be back ordered for 2 months. No news after 2 months and my friend had to call them multiple times and many times they didn't pick up. When they finally confirmed everything, they set up a delivery date. My friend asked me to wait for it because she had to work that day. The company gave us a 12-4 time frame. Waited here from noon, they called at 3:30 saying the guy would be 30-45 mins late. Waited for an hour and still not here. They finally called at 5pm to confirm the address and when asked if they're close by, they said they would be here in an hour. I wasted my whole day for this kind of service!! I will do everything in my power to make sure everyone I know won't waste their time with your company. Nice store and a welcoming personnel. That's where the nice stops. Furniture pieces arrived: broken dining room table, missing legs on the sectional couch, so it was not even installed or plugged in - and still waiting on those damn legs,....missing half of the entertainment center, which later we found out it was not even ordered correctly. I am very disappointed with this store. There is a clear miscommunication going on between the store and their warehouse and delivery people. Waiting on the proper refund (not interested in a store credit, since, clearly we are not going back). read more
