I decided spur of the moment to change my oil, so I called Millers Quick Lube to ensure their hours and if they were still open on this rainy Saturday afternoon. The gentlemen on the phone told me to come right over; walk-ins welcome! I walked in, and I saw they were busy. They told me about an hour's wait, which I usually would not wait, but my car needed some TLC. Once they started my car, it was quick. They checked all my fluids and added windshield washer fluid free of charge; they were friendly, and that's about it. I have no complaints; the service e was quick once it started, and the check-in was easy. They take cash and cards; it's a no-frills place, so bring your snacks and coffee for the wait. Their prices were lower than most other commercial places, and this was not a commercial place. It reminded me of the old mom-and-pop pharmacies before the big ones came and bought most old mom-and-pops out, and I could tell everyone there were regulars like I used to be. I highly recommend Millers above the rest. They have maybe enough room for a wheelchair and restroom. There is seating outside if it's a warm day or you want to be out. So my car takes 6 or 7 quarts of synthetic oil, and my price was $78 compared to Valvoline, which wanted $116; I did pretty well, and so did my car.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. The last few visits have completely ruined any goodwill…read morefrom those 20 years. I took my SUV in for an inspection and oil change. There were absolutely no issues with the vehicle--at best, I expected needing brakes and/or tires. To my shock, the WHOLE front suspension needed replacing. As well as the battery and battery terminals (which they claimed were leaking). Odd that I never saw any battery leakage or felt problems in the suspension. $2000 later, I had my vehicle back. Now, there is a knocking sound when I go over small bumps. Interesting that they just fixed that and that is the sound I hear. I returned to the service center, and they say the knock is coming from my transmission--and they "claim" the dipstick was removed/missing. Then asked me if I took it out? Meineke is the ONLY place I have taken my vehicle since owning it. WHY would I even look at my transmission fluid? It is way under the vehicle. I would need a lift to access it. They claimed they did not remove it, then charged me $150 to refill it. I get the vehicle back and THERE IS STILL A KNOCK in the suspension. I return yet again, and now it needs another $1000 in repairs to the suspension. They are CLEARLY damaging vehicles and charging customers for the repairs. I am pending a return call from their corporate office regarding these matters. EDIT: They changed the repair cost from $1000 to $600; but still admit no fault in the damage.

First off this was my 17 year old sons truck, which they knew. They rescheduled his inspection when…read moremy emissions would have been exempt, and the new date put me over the 5000 miles to exempt it. When I went back they failed it because the check engine light was on and told me we should just look for a new truck because this one was too old (2006) and they didn't have time to chase down that problem. I took it home and corrected those issues in less than an hour and took it back in. Now they failed it again (after the emissions passed) and charged me $1800 for front pads, front rotors, and 1 front hub bearing. They claim the hub bearing was $800+. When I offered to bring my own bearing in they threatened to increase my labor cost because he supposably was giving me a discount. Keep in mind there is ZERO labor in replacing the hub bearing since you need to remove it to replace the rotor, which they were doing. After I got it home, I changed the oil to find they never attached the ABS wires on the new hub or on the existing hub. In fact they broke the screw off and just left the bracket hanging. These guys knew my son needed the car and 100% F*&%KED me over. I will never go back there and will be sending this same review to their corporate offices. See attached picture and video of how they left it.

I had a unique issue with my car (bit of an oddball with it being manual and mid-engine) that two different places provided very high estimates to "try" and address. Howard actually took the time and had the patience to explore the issue and was able to get it back in working order... by fixing the actual root cause which was totally different (and less expensive) than what the other places wanted to do. When you add in the exceptional care he took of my vehicle while he had it, the outstanding communication throughout the process and overall just extremely pleasant interactions, I can confidently say H&H has my business going forward. Excellent, excellent experience!

I am in NJ and I was considering purchasing a used truck online from a dealership in Levittown, PA…read moreand I was in need of a third-party mechanic who could do the pre-purchase inspection for me. I searched and searched and then came across H&H and boy am I glad I did! I explained to Howard how I was short on time since it was an auction site and I was going to bid on the truck and the auction was closing in two days. He let me know that he was fully booked but that he would try to fit me in the next morning anyway and so the truck was brought to him by the dealer and he did a thorough inspection. He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and very thorough and found almost a dozen things wrong with the truck, all things that were not being advertised by the seller. He took lots of pictures of everything he found and wrote up a detailed report with all of the issues. This guy probably saved me from a huge mistake and I commend his professionalism and just by speaking with him over the phone a few times, discussing the truck, I could tell that he was one of the good ones- kind of the holy grail of honest mechanics that we all go through our life searching for, usually to no avail. I am a perfectionist and of course I am just a random guy on the internet but if I say this guy is good, you can take it to the bank!
