Updated review: one extra star added! Why? Pardon the awful pun, but this Valvoline really ran like a well-oiled machine today! Quick rundown: I called the store, they said there was only 1 car on the line. I then hopped in the hooptie to head over the bridge from NJ (the toll was just hiked, ouch), I told them what I needed and showed my groupon for the oil change, there were very minimal upsells (I went for the air filter and cabin air filter, both of mine were filthy as expected), all light bulbs and fluid levels checked, oil changed, tires aired up, clean new oil level shown to me along with the new oil filter, and off I went! Maybe 15 minutes tops was spent in the bay. That was a big run-on sentence but why waste time with extras? If you want your oil change done quickly with a good team, this is your place. I'll check the oil level myself in a day or two to make sure everything stays good and will follow-up if it isn't. But otherwise, this valvoline remains worth the bridge toll for me. read more

I had such a positive experience with Valvoline last time, I decided to go back again for my next oil change. I pulled up and noticed that traffic was light, so I expected a quick experience. They didn't disappoint either; the turnaround time was phenomenal. Twenty minutes at most. I was quickly quided into the bay and 3 staff members immediately got cracking on the job. As with the first visit, the staff proved to be amazingly efficient, working in tandem on different tasks to quickly get everything done. They also made it a point to show me everything they were doing; the type of oil they were using, the new oil filter they were putting in and finally the dipstick showing the tank full of fresh oil. In the process, they also checked the air filters. To their credit they told me that they were fine and didn't need changing. I really liked that they didn't try to up sell me on something I didn't need. Big points for that. All in all, Valvoline gets 5 stars once again. I am usually one to support the mom and pop shop, but unfortunately with auto I've been taken advantage of elsewhere and caught a place trying to charge me for the same service twice in a short period of time so started to look for other credible places for service. I really like valvoline for many reasons: 1. They are fully staffed and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for them to do my oil change 2. They make recommendations for services but aren't pushy or salesy 3. The staff is fun and upbeat and super grateful for tips (tip these guys, they work hard and deserve it) 4. Convenient pull up, quick vehicle service so you aren't wasting several hours and having to get someone to drop your car off somewhere 5. Pricing is fair and reasonable and they keep all records for the car in their system here and other valvoline locations For these reasons Valvoline has won my business and I would highly recommend them. read more

Went to get my oil change. A week later my maintenance light came on, so I took my car to my auto body shop and they told me I had no oil at all and it was causing problems. I called their customer service to report a claim and they talked over me when I was voicing my problems. They then told me I was rude and they weren't going to help me. I asked to speak with someone else and they also called me rude and didn't offer any help when they were the ones being rude. They then promptly hung up on me. When I called back immediately I got someone else and they pulled up the call and stated that they was not how they want their customers to be treated and flagged the call. Took my van there to get an oil change. My son said to me two times, Dad your leaking oil. I checked underneath of the van, not only was the whole bottom of the plastic piece under the motor missing but my oil filter was hand tight my son loosened it with his two fingers. Beware do not take your vehicle there if I were you you can blow your motor if your oil filter falls off. I know a lot about cars. I've been working on cars since I was a teenager. The only reason I took it there is because I am 56 years old and don't feel like changing oil no more but guess what? I will change the oil myself for now in. I would give it a zero star. Like I said don't go there. They did not even replace the bottom plastic piece that covers the whole bottom of the engine or tighten the oil filter. read more

I used a GroupOn for an oil change here that was on sale. If you use the same, you'll notice that the discount isn't properly listed on the receipt, but the concession exists. The shop makes you feel that your part of a NASCAR pit crew with everyone working on my vehicle at the same time, so the time there for the work preformed is extremely fast. With the GroupOn, I did ask to have my transmission fluid change which offers me a 20% discount. However, the price of that service is $169.00, which I feel is extremely excessive. I didn't ask for the price, and it's my fault that I didn't, because if I had of known, I wouldn't have made the transmission fluid purchase. The attend didn't also tell me the price as well, so watch the extra purchases there. Also, my vehicle takes six quarts of oil, not five. My GroupOn only offers five quarts and I knew that before I arrived. So I brought 1 quart with me to total six, but was not allow to use it. I purchase the oil at a parts store for $4.99., and Valvoline charged me $8.99 for the extra quart. Again, a bit excessive. read more

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed my experience there, which sounds a little nutty because all I came to do was get my oil changed. Noah, Cameron and another employee (I cannot remember his name but I do remember he has family in Florida!) were so incredibly kind and easy going. There was an issue with my Groupon and they apologized (even though it was in NO WAY their fault) on behalf of them, the company and even Groupon. After using this type of oil change place while in Florida I was hoping they had locations in the Northeast. I gave the Levittown PA location a try this morning. 13 mins from pull in to drive out. They had a employee holding a sign that said "No Wait Now" which I find helpful if you were driving by and had 25 mins to stop in on the go. The young man who helped sign me and pay was extremely pleasant and helpful. He was very informative, not pushy at all and very friendly. Every employee there smiled and said hello. The oils change was efficient, and well priced. This is hands down my new place and if you read my other reviews you can tell I've had issues in the past. read more

Although Valvoline (Levittown) advertises on Groupon, if you go there they will tell the code is invalid and they will push you to go to another service station. In my case, they told me to offer a $10 discount for an oil change and also a $10 discount for the filter. So the total supposed to be (44-10)+(27-20)= 51 plus tax. But my credit card bill came out $76. without a $20 discount. They did two mistakes, they rejected the Groupon, secondly, they charged more than they verbally told. read more

Seriously, a huge fan of this place! You literally stay in your car while they change your oil and perform a maintenance check. Last time, I had to do a coolant flush so it took about 20 minutes but most my most recent oil change, I was in and out in 10 minutes. It's incredible! They're speedy, kind, and don't try to rip you off - probably the most important characteristic to look for in a mechanic. You can also find groupons and coupons on their website. My usual mechanic is Monday-Friday, but this place is open 7 days, making it super convenient for someone who works full time. Thanks, guys! read more

I took my car for a oil change. They spilled oil on my serpentine belt which caused loud squealing noise. Brought it back and was told it would just dry out and nothing to worry about. A day or so later I car locks up and I had no control oof my car and popped a curb and slammed my front fender of my car and seen black rubber in my rear view mirror. Here my serpentine belt came off and car was stuck. Called Vavoline corporate office explained everything. General manager came out met me where my car broke down. They had to have my car tooted to get fixed. The damage was the belt came off along with damage to two of my cars pulleys. They fixed 1 pulley and new belt put on. Told me the water r pump pulley has broken tooth and it's not unlikely my belt won't come off again. Now my car is acting up. Called corporate office to file a claim to have my car repaired the correct way and was told someone will contact me with in 24 hours. No call back. On top of the above situation the day I brought my car home and parked it noticed oil all over my drive way. Here they spilled oil and never cleaned up the kick plate or secured it. So they had to fix that also. The worked are very nice but there work is clearly not as great as there manors. Do yourself a favor and steer clear from this place. The technician did not even reset the oil service light on my car dash. I had to also do that myself watching videos. What's worse is I tipped the guy for service that became a nightmare. read more

I drove into an open bay, answered their questions, made my oil selection, and declined the additional service options. Their communication and attitude was really good. Girlfriend went in for an oil change and not only did they try and upsell her on stuff she did not need, they charged a ripoff amount for a basic synthetic oil change that I should have done myself for a third of the price. $90 for a oil change that cost under $30 in oil and parts. Just had a terrible experience. Went for a basic oil change on my 2018 Ford Edge When I got home I looked under my car and found bolts missing and the cover was loose. I went back and the tech. said one bolt missing. I said on my new car that was one too many. Then he showed me a head of a bolt and had the balls to say it was rusted off. They must think people are stupid. He offered to get me a new bolt but I will never let them touch my car again. Now I have to replace a mounting clip because it has a broken bolt in it. I am beyond angry, upset, and disgusted at the lack of customer service, concern for safety and empathy that has been displayed by Valvoline instant oil change corporate & Valvoline instant oil change of Levitttown PA. This companies negligence put my life and others at risk and caused 1000s of dollars in damage to my vehicle. Even after they admitted fault and carelessness they denied my request for them to have my car towed to a dealer at their cost. I went to the Valvoline Instant Oil change in levitttown PA for a routine oil change and tire rotation on November 5th 2018. When I arrived, the people working were friendly and appeared to be working on my car with care. When they were "Finished" they asked me to sign the paperwork and said I was done and could drive away. I pulled out of their parking lot and onto a busy highway. I made it 500 feet before hearing alarming sounds coming from my car. Something wasn' right. I moved into the center turning lane so I could pull in a large parking lot across the street and see what was going on. When I turned across road ( on coming traffic) I heard and loud bang and the front passenger side of my car dropped to the pavement. Out of my passenger window I could see a tire rolling down the road. As a result, My car dropped onto the rotor and I was stuck Perpendicular in the middle of on coming traffic. Scared for my life I pressed the gas hoping the 3 remaining tires would be able to get me to safety. I slowly scrapped my way just off the highway into a parking lot. I rushed out of the car to find no tire on my front passenger side and my back tire was halfway off the car. When the front tire came off it caused extensive damage to my wheel well, front quarter panel hood and numerous other issues. I didn't care about the car I was thankful to be alive and grateful that I did not hurt or kill another person. Since I didnt make it more than 1000 feet from the shop I ran across the road to get the attention of the service manager. I told him and his techs that the wheels just came off my car. Their only response was.. "We must not have tightened the lug nuts" not are you ok. Was any one hurt? No... We must not have done our job.... The Service manager walked over to the vehicle and said he would get my tires back on. He tried for 2 hrs with multiple jacks and struggled. I advised that I would wait across the street and requested that my car be towed to a local ford dealership at valvolines costs because I did not feel safe driving it. A tech from valvoline came to let me know my wheels were back on and the car was ready. I asked when the tow truck was coming and i was instructed to speak with the service manager. The service manager Ron advised that his Area Manager ( Ron Hamilton) would not approve the costs of the tow truck because my wheels were back on my car. I expressed my concern for my safety and how this situation put mine and others lives at risk. I noted that the area manager clearly does not understand the severity of the situation. The service manager stated that he told his manager everything and explained how serious it was. Even after that they denied my request... During this exchange the Service manager admitted negligence and agreed that this was their fault and very dangerous... I called my own tow truck. While I was waiting for a tow I called Valvoline corporate and filed a claim. I provided all of the information above and noted the area mangers name ( Ron Hamilton). I was advised by the customer service rep that my claim was escalated and would be addressed ASAP. I advised that I would like the area manager to reach out to me directly so I can express my concern.. He never did.. infact Its now Weeks later and no one from valvoline has called me except the service manager to keep me updated on the communication they were getting from ford about the damage to my vehicle. On each update call from the service manager I expressed my disgust that his manager has yet to contact me and could he please have him do so. On 11/15 after strongly voicing my frustration with valvoline to the service Manager on their lack of customer service, concern for safety and follow up with customers I received a call from area manager ( Ron Hamilton) Ron in a very arrogant non concerned voice told me that he was only approving $1000 of the damage that was quoted by ford. I explained to Ron that his "approval of the costs were not my concern and they would be settled between my insurance company and his" I explained to Ron my absolute disgust at his lack of concern my my safety, well being, and overall callous attitude. I recounted the severity of the situation point by point. I described the danger I was put in as well as other drivers and that he should have been on the phone the next day to apologize for the mishap. Ron never apologized He hung up on me. read more
