Absolutely terrible customer service Lauretta Smith and staff ! Took my car in for a routine oil change and they recommended the brakes and rotors be changed. I agreed for the repair and oh how I wish I did not ! Couple day go by with family and kids in the car the caliper falls off locking and engraving the rim and no telling what other damages it caused. Had to get it towed home Hughes came out to put a bolt in and drove it to the dealership which was maybe 5min away. Just to bring it back with more problems every since it has been riding rough and they don't want to replace any of the parts that were damaged cause by HUGHES HONDA missing a bolt that cause this whole disaster ! I took my car to Hughes Honda, and they charged me $868.98 for a fuel pump that I did not need. The very next day, my car started skipping and jerking again. I called them and brought the car back. They ran another diagnostic and charged me $115, only to tell me I needed a $6,500 head gasket repair. That price is outrageous -- head gaskets do not cost anywhere near that, and it turns out the repair wasn't even needed. I got a second opinion elsewhere, and all that was wrong was spark plugs and low antifreeze. Once those were replaced, my car ran perfectly fine. Please beware of this place. The mechanics are not thorough, and the service advisors -- especially Keegan -- will try to add unnecessary charges just to increase profits. It seems like they're fabricating issues because car sales are slow. Save yourself the money and frustration. Go somewhere honest. read more

I originally thought this was a trustworthy dealership, but only a couple of months after having my car, I found out they had wiped quite a few permanent codes from my vehicle in order to sell it. We have had Hondas forever. Hughes Honda replaced a part last year on Feb 16, 2023. This dealership's service department has to be the rudest dept I have ever dealt with. This part is 5 days over the warranty. They are not willing to help with this part at all. This is why I appreciate the kindness and extra customer service my current dealership has. My daughter was thrilled about purchasing her first automobile. She looked all over Middle-Georgia and came across a vehicle that was not only perfect in size, but great for her budget. We purchased the vehicle and within 2 days the AC went out. It took almost 2 weeks to get a response from the Salesman who sold us the car. He responded with the "as is" clause. Granted, I get that, but I took my daughters vehicle to a specialist, who verified, there was a leak, and the freon was added for the purpose of the sale. I would have purchased the vehicle for my daughter, because these vehicles are reliable and it's perfect for her drive back and forth to college. So basically, I would have purchased the car (at that price) if they would have been up front about the condition. Finally, I do not recommend buying a used car at this location, because it's no different than buying from a mom and pop dealership. They currently live in Warner Robins where the nearest Honda dealership is about 3 miles away- Hughes Honda. On multiple occasions they've tried to go to Hughes Honda to get their car serviced and have been TURNED AWAY because they didn't purchase the car at that location. That doesn't even make sense... So my elderly parents drive an hour and a half to Atlanta whenever they need to get minor, routine maintenance done on their Honda. Passing the Hughes Honda dealer in Warner Robins that is 3 miles away while they are en route. I'm so disgusted with Hughes I can't even tell you... I needed my oil changed so I came here to the closest Honda Dealership close to me. I had issues on the pricing AFTER they did the service. The dealer charged me over $100 for a simple oil and filter changed. The manager called me back and we had it fixed right away. Now a couple weeks later my car starting leaking oil. Using an Engine Oil UV dye, any oil leak coming from the car would light up with a UV light. The leak is coming from the oil drain plug, we believe that the mechanics who changed my oil destroyed the threads and caused the leak. read more

Two months ago my son got financing in the state we live in to buy a car. He is military and has less then two years of credit history. At first it went great. They seemed to work well with the whole situation but then constantly threatened to sale the car out from under him until they got this or that. They got it all in the timely matter we promised. We overnighted papers- they received them the next day. We overnighted the check- they got it the next day- still wouldn't give my son the car but kept the check. They overnighted papers- it took FOUR days to get here. When talking to UPS it's because they didn't get picked up from their facility (Hughes Honda) until the day before. By then we had been told they were out already and checking, staying home daily to wait for them!!!! When it kept going on the guy told me he could of gotten him better financing- I asked for the numbers. He told me they didn't run his credit so he didn't know- liar! First off, a lady named Crystal assumed "I put diesel in my car" . Second, when the mechanic found a wire harness had been chewed up by a "rodent". Crystal wanted to assure me not to feel like "I'm nasty or anything" . Really? My car is emaculate. I had my insurance take care of the repairs. After everything is finished, I pick up my car and was relieved I did not have to go back. Well... My insurance sent me the repair check instead of them. I called my agent the day I received it. My agent told me to hang on to it until they get it figured out. A week later. I gat a call from a lady named Loretta. I bought a car from Hughes Honda and at first I was very pleased with the service the salesman had given me but after I bought my car I learned that I was lied to. I was told that the car I bought did not come in a manual transmission. I will probably be happier with a manual transmission in the long run but I don't like being lied to. The financial manager or the guy that handles the paperwork lied to me as well about one of their lifetime oil change plan as well. My experience with Hughes Honda was probably the worst car experience I've ever had. To begin with, we had to hunt down someone to help us---all of the salespeople were huddled up around the GMs desk in the showroom. The lot was not busy. We walked in and asked for help---the GM assigned us a salesperson. The salesperson was fine. He understood what we wanted. His immediate manager was incompetent---couldn't even explain what the "protection plan" was. The salesperson had to clear up the mess he made trying to explain it. The worst part was when they valued my trade. The offered FAR less than it was worth, which was fine. But the way the GM himself spoke to my husband about it was intolerable. He interrupted my husband, raised his voice, and talked to him like he was an imbecile. We left and will never step foot in this dealership again. read more

Brought my car in for my 42,000 mile oil change! Previously called Hughes around my 30,000 mile maintenance to advise Hughes Honda of my Bluetooth screen not cutting off when using my phone and hanging up the screen would stay on. I spoke on the phone at that time with someone who said they would put those notes in for the 30,000 mile service! Fast forward to today where this issue has occurred and brought my car in with the actual issue on the screen! So, I spoke to the service advisor and left my car on so they could see the problem but was told there's no history of my previous conversation around 30,000 miles with anyone! They want to charge me a diagnostics fee now to find a problem when it was under warranty! This place sucks! My first visit was...not impressive to say the least. My husband was interested in looking at their SUV to compare it against the 4Runner and the Explorer. We walked around for 20 minutes looking but no one ever came out to greet us, so we left. The very next day we decided to look again and actually went inside to get someone to show us a car. I wanted to give Honda a try before I mad my decision to purchase. The lady that helped us had very little knowledge concerning the vehicle we were test driving. During the test drive she was on her phone in the back seat texting. We actually got lost on our test drive. I will say that may not been her fault due the opening of the Hwy 96 bypass. Thank God the Pilot had a Garmin navigation system we found our way back. Jose was brought into the conversation to answer a couple of questions regarding the Pilot. The one thing that sticks out about this dealership is the 3 reserved parking slots in front of the show room and guess who they are for.... Ashley Hughes! Wow! the owner needs 3 parking places in the front where customers need to park! That alone says a lot about customer care. Well to end this story the next day i went to Toyota I was ready to make my buying decision but wanted to give Honda one more try so we went Macon to check the Hondas. I went in to test drive and purchase a used vehicle with an advertised price of $3999. I was then informed that there would be an additional dealer fee of almost $900 added to the out the door price. Told them I would sleep on it and did some research. Found out that Georgia state law prohibits any fees outside government fees cannot be added on to the purchase price. I informed management of the illegalities and the dealer fees were removed with apologies and thanked for bringing this dealers incompliance to state law to their attention. So I purchased the vehicle. So guess what? I see that this dealer is still pulling the same scam on unsuspecting consumers in current advertisements. Know your rights! Service department is fantastic, Mike in particular. I usually don't use dealerships for repairs, but I had a coupon for 15% off labor. I had a few preventative maintenance items to take care of and also wanted to see about the loud noise my car had recently started making. Took it in without an appointment on a busy Saturday morning, and they were able to fit me in. I chose to stay and wait even though they told me it would probably be all day. The waiting area is comfy enough with plenty of outlets and a TV, plus free wifi, bathrooms and a vending machine. There's also two tables (I snagged part of one to set up my laptop and knock out some homework). I wound up being there through lunch, so they gave me a ride to Wendy's right around the corner. The noise turned out to be a broken wheel bearing, so they fixed everything up and sent me on my way. They honored my 15% off coupon with no questions asked. Buyer Be Ware. In my experience I was treated with complete disregard as a person by Hughes Honda. I am not sure if it was because I am in the military and was out of state. I showed serious interest in purchasing a used Honda Pilot and had a family member test drive the vehicle. I had multiple conversations concerning purchasing the Pilot over the next 2 weeks. On a Thursday they called me and asked what was holding me back from purchasing the vehicle. I told them I needed the price $600 lower. They responded saying they almost never drop the price because the car is already priced competitively but they would call me if it was possible. I never received a call but 2 days later on Saturday I noticed on their website that they dropped the price $1,000. I called and asked if could give them a deposit to hold the vehicle till I could finalize my loan on Monday. I even asked to speak to the owner but was told he was too busy. They said they had someone that was coming later that evening and if it wasn't purchased by that customer then they would take a deposit. That customer did purchased the vehicle and I was told they were sorry but they had other cars on the lot. In summary, Hughes Honda wanted to sell the vehicle when and to who they wanted to and didn't care about me as a person. They choose to sell the vehicle at lower cost to a new walk in customer in order to move it off their lot instead of someone who they had been working with for over 2 weeks. Please be advised that while Hughes Honda staff is pleasant, they will do not care about you as person and I would be hesitate to trust anything Hughes Honda told me. read more

My review is very close to everyone else's! I would never in my life recommend this dealership to anyone other than an enemy...well no, I wouldn't even recommend this place to an enemy!! I have been here a few times and regret each visit. The main reason would be that they are complete rip offs! I understand doing a decent deal so that they get money out of a trade in but knocking down the price to its last dollar on a vehicle that is worth more is very upsetting. I say this because before my visit here to do a trade in, I visited the Ford dealership on Russell and also the Nissan dealership on 96. for basically the exact same trade in, I was offered well over 9k for my vehicle but with my visit here, they tried to offer me 4k. I was absolutely shocked! I have family and friends that either work on cars or work at dealerships and they absolutely do not like the staff nor the deals made at Hughs Honda. This place just sucks! not to mention the vehicles are way too over priced. a 2007 Acura MDX with 170k is not worth 20k!!! are you people that stupid??
