He waited till the day before trial to discuss defense strategies. The day of the trial he mis-represented a plea deal. I found out several days later that the deal he told me was not the deal that was put down into writing. His response was that he didn't know the exact term of the deals of the time but that he was assured I wasn't being treated unfairly. When I posted a honest but negative review on Avvo, his response to me was very argumentative and there were times when I felt he came close to threatening me to take the review down. I don't feel he conducted himself in a professional manner. I have nothing against Mr. Kilpatrick personally, I just wanted to help others avoid the mistake I feel I made.
