Each time I do my research I end up staying with Grande. Nobody can get close to the 400 Mbps speed, time warner is the fastest @ 50 and at&t brags about their "super fast" 12 Mbps! Grande like all of the other companies has low entry packages that begin to creep up after 6 months so you have to change plans every 6-12 months to keep getting the best deal. This is why they lose a star. Service is better than any I have seen, tech support is in Texas! Technicians give you specific time frames and call before they show up for installations. I am sticking with them but be warned grande, AT&T is putting fiber optic lines in my neighborhood so I will be reviewing my plan as soon as they roll out their new offers.....gotta love free market competition!

My account was fully paid off and up to date at the time of the call. Nearly a month later, I discovered I was still being charged. When I called back to investigate, a different representative claimed I was charged because I canceled in the middle of a billing cycle. This contradicts exactly what I was told during my initial cancellation. Astound needs to honor the original agreement made by their representative and refund these unauthorized charges.

Their customer service is outstanding. I spoke with Michael today, as I had some questions about my plan. I just asked online in a chat and he was quick, efficient and just great. I've had Frontier before and could not stand all the constant crashes and interruptions. This is far superior to any of the other options. 10/10 recommend.

Shame on them if they are and will not tell their customers!!! Their phone messages says they are trying to fix their problems but.that was four weeks ago. In November I ordered the service to begin December 1 and purchased their modem. It took forever because the salesperson kept telling me what he "was going to try to do for me", I had to finally tell him to either sign me up without more conversation or I was getting off. Instead of December 1, they started billing immediately on November 15. I figured they had only ripped me off for $25 and it wasn't worth another 45 minutes to try to complain. Getting ready to go home, I tried to cancel my service as of April 1. They seemed to think it could not be done for a future date. After transfers to folks with less and less English, I finally got it through to them that Clear does not exist in my home area. They agreed to cancel as of April 1, but no credit for the additional 1/2 month. Hopefully they will actually cut it off and not continue charging my card, since I set it up for automatic billing and cannot cancel it online. I was very pleased with the internet, but I'll look for another solution next winter rather than deal with incompetent customer "service".
