After our Easter Sunday brunch, hubby and brother in law wanted to do some shopping, they love Hugo Boss, so I had no choice but to shop with them.... It was actually pretty fun to hang at this store, it is a beautiful store, couches and chairs are so comfy, the owner saw me in heels, he told me to sit down and relax my feet a bit, I had a little bit of chat with him, nice man, and very polite. :) Hubby liked a sports coat, it was a bit too loose on him, he asked them to do alterations to make it more slim fit, it's free service for regular priced clothes. Our sales man offered me bottle water, sparkling or regular, he carried out a nice tray with 2 bottle waters, very nice customer services, I was very impressed. I was in a comfy chair and sipping on water to wait for hubby and brother in law finish their shopping, both of them got something nice, finally, it was my turn to shop at Juicy Couture next door! read more

Manager told me to come and get fitted for a wedding. I mentioned this on the phone said I would be coming shortly. I waited in traffic and arrived, then the manager told me it would be $45 Bait and switch. I gave the manager a chance to reverse his decision and if he didn't, that I would be leaving a factual review of what just happened to me and that as a customer I felt like I had wasted my time and energy and could've gone to a variety of places that would've done this for free - like men's warehouse Their values aren't good. I love Hugo Boss, but I would never come to this store again. The customer service was terrible and the prices are worse than at other locations. When I came to the store and asked about an email blast I received that advertised 40% off on certain items, the rep let me know that this is a franchised store, not an "official" (i.e. corporate owned) Hugo Boss, and they don't honor any of the corporate promotions. He then asked if I intended on making a purchase today. I said I wanted to find out my sizes and maybe pick out a few items I could then go and pick up online. After all, why would I pay a 40% premium for the same merchandise? With that, the rep immediately changed his attitude towards me when it was clear he wasn't going to make a commission. It felt like if I wasn't going to make him any money, it wasn't worth his time to do anything more than the absolute bare minimum to help me out. It was a very uncomfortable experience--I felt completely unwelcome in the store. I am still planning on buying several thousand dollars worth of Hugo Boss merchandise; I'm in the market for a completely new wardrobe and I believe Hugo Boss makes high quality clothing. But I would never give a cent to this store--if they're going to treat you like shit when they're not guaranteed a sale, I recommend you do what I did and take your business elsewhere. PS The nearest "real" Hugo Boss store is on Rodeo Drive, check it out sometime. read more

After a disaster with a local Men's Warehouse (another story), we needed a place we could trust for a last minute tux purchase and alteration. This was hubby's dream tux. Every man should own a good quality tux and it wasn't the first time we were perusing this store. We met Moji, who was amazing and made us feel like we were in excellent care. He patiently let the hubby try on a few tuxes and even gave us info to try the Century City store when they were out of his size in a certain style that he wanted to try. Well, it turned out that Moji's advice on what looked most dashing on hubby was right, so we ended up coming back to the Santa Monica location and purchased the most awesome tux. The cut was amazing and the alterations were included in the price. We felt like they actually cared about their products, work and customer service. And being so last minute - the alterations were completed on time and PERFECT. The thing fits him like it was tailored for him from scratch. The boy looks good. Really good. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and the store was pleasantly calm and quiet. I was immediately greeted by Manny, who proceeded to get me the perfect suit at my exact size after just a few seconds of looking at me. Suffice it to say that this guy is extremely good at his job. After I tried on the suit and allowed Manny to make the necessary adjustments, he was able to select some great shirts, ties, and belt that fit my sense of style. The whole process was done under an hour, which is pretty great if you're like me and you don't enjoy the process of trying on clothes for extended periods of time. The complementary espresso and water was a nice touch as well. If you're looking to get a quality suit while having a relaxed shopping experience with good customer service (and cheap parking) then you should definitely come here. read more

I don't know about the store in general, I came because Rogier Bolleurs has been helping me dress for years. I used to go to Brooks Bros a lot until Rogier started at Hugo Boss. I was slightly hesitant because I viewed Boss as being a little more trendy than Brooks Bros. As usual Rogier got me in a few shirts and slacks that were not only just right, but a better fit than Brooks Bros. I'm going back for some suits. One more thing, I hate to shop. Rogier gets me in and out with minimal fuss and also directs the tailoring staff well. read more

I've had in mind that I needed a suit... after my last Hugo Boss experience at South Coast Plaza I wasn't planning on going to another Hugo Boss again.. but my wife was at the LV store next door, and since that wasn't a place I wanted to be at I strolled into Hugo Boss to see the suits. I was impressively greeted by a Mr. Rogier A Bolleurs.. and he had exactly what I needed.. I mean he showed me some really amazing suits that fit me well and were my size.. with a little alterations the suits fit me like a glove. Rogier also being able to read me, recommended a really nice sports coat that I needed in my wardrobe.. all in all I left with exactly what I needed and I believe this team provides the attention to detail needed when looking for the right suit. On my follow up pick up of my tailored suits Mr. Rogier was not there, however his fellow team members and tailors we're able to assist me to make sure everything was tailored correctly. I really enjoyed my shopping experience here, Rogier, thank you for my suits I worn the heck out of them and I'll be seeing you shortly as I will need a few more items. read more

This review is namely for a salesman, Mr. Rogier A. Bolleurs. A couple of weeks ago I was shopping for suit for my engagement pictures. Up until then I had gone through a couple of salesmen, mostly dismissing me as young (I'm 28) and incapable of affording or selecting a quality suit. Though, partly true (I'm not a millionaire), I had gone through some rigorous research to select a suit that I can use for my engagement pictures and work. Walking into Hugo Boss I was skeptical as to how I would be treated. Rogier is the most quintessential salesmen that I've met. He provided me an education as to how to select and fit a suit. I did not end up purchasing the suit from Rogier, but not because of his exemplary salesmanship. I suggest those men who are looking for a great suit, honest opinion and experience to visit Rogier. Although I believe Hugo Boss makes excellent clothing, my experiences at this store were unexpectedly soured by a bogus promotion. Having spent several thousand dollars at the store in late 2016, I recently received an email expressing their appreciation for my business and gifting me $150 to spend at the Santa Monica location. Within a week, I was back. I carefully selected a new suit and attempted to apply the gift card. The sales clerk stated the gift card was not ready yet. No problem. A week later, I returned to the store to collect my suit, which had been altered. I carefully selected a shirt and tie to complement the new suit. Again, the clerk was wishy-washy about the $150 gift card. I pressed him a bit and he assured me they would sort it out on Monday when the people in New York were back in the office. (I've since learned that this isn't even a Hugo Boss store, but rather a franchised location). A week later, I called the store to ask why the $150 credit had not been applied to my purchase. The clerk then spun yet another story about how his boss needed to fly to New York to sort it out. I asked when that would be. He said next Friday. Since I make a living as an attorney with a large firm, this type of time wasting was increasingly frustrating. I demanded simply to return the items for a refund, and the clerk refused. I then called my credit card issuing bank and have filed a claim against the merchant. I see no reason to shop at this location. For those of us who love Hugo, the rodeo drive location is the better option. read more

Have to repost since my husband had a bad experience. The sales person that he bought his $1700 suite from advised him to buy a size bigger than my husband had suggested. He said if he lost weight they would tailor it at no charge but when he went back to do just that, the sales person didn't work there anymore and the store manager said to do that its $35. My husband told him to honor the no charge for alteration but the Manager said that's the policy. Cannot do it. Anyway our advice if you're buying over $1000 suite go to Nordstroms or Barneys instead they'll alter it for free always. Even men's wear house alters for free and their suits are a lot less than $1700!!! read more

My husband always buys his suits from this Hugo Boss location. I went with him last week to buy some shirts and now I can see why he always bring his business here. The service and quality are excellent! Shawn and Patrick knew him by name immediately and helped him find everything he needed and then some. They were friendly, professional and knowledgable. They made helpful suggestions and took great care of us and I never felt like they were just pressuring us for a sale. I would highly recommend shopping here. I've been to this location multiple times. I've always loved Hugo Boss clothing and decided to upgrade my suits and was lucky to have Roger help me out. He asked me a few questions about my job, vaguely what I was looking for (because let's be honest most of us have no clue) and then started putting together a few suits that would be a good start to my new work collection. That was about a year ago and now I've been back a few times and gotten 7 new suits in total, each adding a different element. Roger remembers pretty much every suit I have even a year later and now I can mix and match my suits if I want to. I've gotten a lot of great suits here and the service has been fantastic. On top of that the tailoring is fantastic. Roger works with the tailor (whose name I forgot but who is awesome) to adjust the suit right on the spot, so that when I get the suits I'm ready to rock. read more

I just purchased a white dress shirt from the Hugo Boss Santa Monica store by a sales associated Ray on 1/19/19 at 2:45 PM on Saturday. I asked Ray for a white shirt about my size and he gave me a try-on version at 15 1/2 to see if that fit- which it did. Upon ringing me up, I noticed that Ray was attempting to sell me the worn, try-on version of the shirt used to size customers (which had no tag on it) instead of a brand new shirt. In fact, he brought out another shirt with a tag (which was Cleary new) and used that tag to scan the worn shirt he began to fold and put in my bag. When I asked him what he was doing- he actually told me that the try-on, worn shirt (which had no tag on it) was the same as the brand new shirt (which was covered in plastic and had a tag on it). I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied that such a fraudulent practice could be conducted and a store as reputable as Hugo Boss. I would like to ensure other consumers are not taken advantage of in this way. read more

After a horrific experience at Nordstrom's, my gf and I went to Hugo Boss a few feet away. I've never purchased a suit so fast in my life. Derrick picked out a suit that fit like a gem, and picked out a great tie to go with it. The experience was a complete 180 from the Nordstrom's one. I went back a few days later to pick up the suit after they tailored it. Derrick steamed the tie to make it look great before the wedding. Marciano (sp?) was also fantastic; he put the dress shoes I brought in a cloth bag and gave me a cheesecloth to shine them. Overall, an incredible experience. Will be back soon! read more

Came to Boss in Santa Monica looking for a last minute suit for my brother's wedding. I was helped immediately by a gentleman named Rogier, who immediately found all the suits in the store which would fit me. He was extremely knowledgeable about suits, the styles, and how they should fit. He was able to find me a shirt and tie combo that looked stellar, along with getting a tailor in the store immediately to get the pants hemmed for pick up the following day. I was in and out of the store in 45min with a complete outfit for the wedding. Altogether outstanding service and great style recommendations.
