Haven't been to a Mongolian Grill for awhile and so when my family saw this, they wanted to stop in. We came on a night that had a special early meal deal so that was awesome to take advantage of. Lots of variety here, the proteins were frozen and cut thin to give them a longer shelf life, it kind of ruined the texture a bit but I can understand why they would do it. Lots of fresh cut veggies and mix-ins to throw into your bowl. There is a lot of variety when it comes to the sauces and experts were seen with a separate bowl for just their sauces, well noted for next time. Lots of combinations with ingredients and sauces, you will not get bored for variety. The staff and grill staff were quick, friendly, chatty, and efficient. The grill staff would whip people through pretty fast so standing in line was never too much of a pain. Not a bad place if you are interested in looking for a lot of food at a pretty good price. My wife and I came from Michigan where BD's Mongolian was prominent. I was pleased to find a replacement when I discovered HuHot. Same setup; grab your starch, protein and veg, and head up to watch them cook it. I asked the waitstaff how much it was to go up again, and the waitress let me know.....there was no charge. I dropped my fork. I was now in fat boy heaven. Typically I go up once at Mongo because it's and additional 6$ for their "unlimited", and I'm not into paying more if not necessary. Here? I enjoyed a second plate and that was my meal for the day. I am pleased about that. Awesome service, awesome price, and unlimited? Hell yes. Will be back again. read more

Great food awesome service and expirence great workers who were very friendly. The food really depends because you choose your own food and sauces and they cook it in front of you. I got noodles with some jalapeño sausage mixed with some baby corn some water chestnuts some onions and two muscles I wanted to try. I was here on 3/24/2023, by that night I was violently ill with food poisoning. It was the only place I had eaten that day. I only ate the pork and chicken. One of them must have been under cooked or there was some cross contamination from somewhere else in the restaurant. It only took me about 20 minutes of researching this specific location to see that others had gotten sick here in the last month. I will be contacting the health inspector this week. Under trained staff handling raw food is what caused this. None of the people working the around grill were properly trained. It was very clear as I watched them repeatedly scrape their spatulas with raw food still clinging to them on the lower rail and then not even 2 seconds later scrape a finished meal onto a customers plate with the same spatula. They need to have separate tools for handling raw and finished food. This is a good way to kill someone. Even the manager on duty said they have had a few issue this month. The table and chairs are all ripped up. The floor had uncooked and some clearly long forgotten food on the floor surrounding the grill and self serve area. I saw a recent review about food poisoning and was very reserved about trying HuHot Mongolian Grill. Friday I took the leap of faith and took my girlfriend out for dinner. Let me just tell you I was very impressed. I've eaten at Mongolian restaurants around the US and Overseas. There were so many different food items and premade sauces. The area around the food was clean and well stocked. The meat was frozen and not thawed. The egg drop soup was some of the best I've had. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Shit was scrumptious, absolutely crazy good but not busy enough which is saddening for the business.

I hadn't been here for a long while. The food was delicious and staff extremely friendly. The staff worked together very well. Everyone just seemed to know what was needed. One staff was serving then helping clean the grill. another would see the water bottles needed to be refilled. The teamwork was fun to watch. However, the place was very dirty. The floor near the food buffet was very sticky. We had to pick through the bowls because there was stuck on bits of food. The carpet in the dinning area needed a good vacuuming. I understand they may not have had enough staff but....it makes me rethink about going back. read more

Stopped in for lunch today. This place is excellent. Allison was an outstanding server. My husband drinks sodas like they are going out of fashion and she was on top of it. Don't be afraid they won't have any ingredients you would like because they have it all and don't get me started on the sauces! But my tip of the day is go heavy on the sauces and oil because that flat grill will cook all of it off if you do less than 6 scoops of flavors goodness and you will have a bland dry dish of your own creation. read more

We've lived in Seattle for 17 years. We've learned about Mongolian grill in Seattle. When we move back to Green Bay five years ago, we were skeptical. I mean, Green Bay is certainly not Seattle. How good could this possibly be? Well our snobbery was proved extremely wrong on our part. HuHot Mongolian grill is freaking fantastic. They have much more ingredients to add to your dinner than they do in Seattle. They have many many more delicious sauces than you can get in Seattle. And I am so glad that we were wrong. this has turned out to be one of our favorite spots to eat in the Green Bay area. Hands down. We love this place. read more

This is a fairly traditional mongolian-style barbecue restaurant. There is a reasonable selection of meat and noodles, and a greater selection of vegetables. The condiments or sauce bar rely solely on thin constructions which are hard to gauge how to use. There is also no additional chopped garlic, or powdered spices to add, which can really develop the flavor. Since the meat is sliced thinly, the cooking is swift, so make sure you have enough flavor in your vegetables and sauces, as you won't pick it up from the grill. Service here was great when in for an early lunch. Our waitress brought the rice quickly and kept us set with beverages -- huge selection of flavors from their new-fangled machine. read more

Prices have gone up $3 for a to go lunch- Not cool. It now cost $12.59 for a to go trip. I used to be able to swing by on my lunch hour with a $10 bill and leave the hostess a little tip for running the bill (that is all they have to do on a to go order) and now you need $13 to do that. Ridiculous for lunch. This will be my last time in there. The cook/ waitress were complaining about how slow it was in there an hoping that it would pick up- I just kept thinking- maybe it is because your prices are so high no one wants to eat here for lunch. This place was absolutely marvelous. Our waiter, Kevin was very nice and funny. He gave out the instructions for me and explained how this whole thing goes as a first timer. He jokes around about other workers and makes the place a very fun vibe. Now to the food process: The ingredients fresh and delicious. Very well organized, and Very Kid-Friendly. The sauces are perfect and addressed well. What I mean by that is that it describes the sauce and gives it a hot scale factor. This whole place is outstanding. When the chefs cook the stir-fry it's like they have magic in their hands and are casting a spell on our food. This place is a perfect recommendation for anyone of all ages. I've been to this HuHot many times over the years. Tonight was my last time patronizing this place. It has progressively gotten worse over time. I love the concept but not enough to go back. The service was okay, nothing great. The cleanliness was disgusting. The floor was full of food particles, used napkins and straw wrappers. I won't even get into the buffet tables. They were nasty. The woman's bathroom was not any better. It's a real shame because there's no other restaurant of this kind in Green Bay. read more

I live an hour north of Green Bay. This place is a Must when going into the city. Perfect for a light meal before catching a flight - avoiding airport and plane food. So good. The frozen strips of meat don't look very appetizing, but with the right amount of spices, they cook up to yummyness. Outstanding. I have overestimated my tolerance for spicy before and could barely eat my bowl as sweat was running down my neck, so be careful. You choose the meat and veggie and spice/oil combo you want. No one to blame but yourself if it's not good. Lots of seafood options also. You really can't go wrong following their displayed recopies, or you can get crazy with your own. Nice Asian beer selection. The egg drop soup i Had was good, but really, you are better off sticking to multiple plates of all you can eat grill. I really enjoy the food here, and the only reason I cannot give it more than three stars is because of the bathrooms. I feel if the bathrooms in a restaurant are not kept up, that reflects on the rest of the place...and that is a bit unsettling. Our hostess- that's a whole different story. She was a shorter, black haired Asian woman and she didn't wait for us to walk us to the table, she also threw our silverware on the table and mumbled our waiter's name- which I didn't catch. I've been here twice with my husband. The first time we really didn't have that great of an experience. We decided to try it again, the second time was somewhat better. We went at lunch time on a Saturday, so it is expected to be busy, however, we did not expect to wait while there were several empty tables in the restaurant. There was only 2 couples ahead of us and 5 empty tables. When we were seated, the waitress explained the process and brought me out a yellow plate that are used for people with food allergies. We were given a pamphlet that explained Everything they have and the potential allergens. When you make your way through the buffet the first section is noodles, there is a choice between lo mein, rice noodles, and other varieties of Asian noodles. After the noodles the next section is a wide variety of meat and seafood, tofu. Then a wide variety of veggies and sauces. You can expect to wait in a long line holding your plate waiting for it to be cooked on the grill by the chefs. They put on a show. I was impressed that they thoroughly cleaned the section of the grill and sectioned off the area where they cooked my plate to avoid cross contamination due to the allergies. After waiting a few minutes for the food to cook, you are handed back your plate of steaming stir-fry. Depending on how full you fill your plate one trip up is enough. Overall it was an o.k experience, but it will be a once in a while stop, not a regular. read more
