I stroll up to the front with about a dozen hallmark ornaments. Going big this year. I wait. Still waiting. Finally a lady comes up and starts to ring me up, a card carrying gold crown club member. She gets to the third ornament and says, " wait. I can't sell you these until Saturday." Mind you the examples are up and the shelves are stocked. Oddly some were in backwards. Being a prior stock boy I thought this odd. Goes on to tell me the products can't be sold until Saturday. It's Wednesday today. She offers to hold them. Great! Wait, I won't be in town Saturday. Can I pick them up Monday. Dons is closed on Sunday. I am told no, sorry. That will be too late. This is how home town stores die. I will go and buy the same ornaments on line now. I will likely get cards elsewhere. Flowers too. Why stock your shelves with things that are not for sale? Strange business approach.

We had originally talked about June 26 2020 and then she told me actually Fridays don't work. I emailed her back June 25 with days that worked and then had to follow up after not hearing from her. July 7 is when she finally got back to me. We set up for July 20, the night prior I emailed her and she stated that we had to cancel because she just got tested for COVID. She then pushed us out until September. The day we were supposed to meet she no showed. I called her when she was 10 minutes late and she sent me to voicemail. She called back saying she had totally forgotten about our meeting...... she then later texted me stating it was probably a good thing because she was exposed to COVID. I then decided to proceed with another florist seeing as shes not reliable. I asked for my deposit back. She stated she would send it but has since ghosted me and will not respond to my emails. I would stay away. The poor planning on her part, the forgetfulness is uncalled for. You need someone you can trust for your day and if they can't show up to a meeting how can you trust them for your big day?

We stopped by the first Saturday of Tulip Time festival, right around noon. While it was packed,…read morethere was plenty of space to enjoy what felt like an endless quantity of tulips in full bloom with hundreds of varieties and colors. When we first entered, we were a bit disappointed as it was a small patch of garden that was quite crowded with people taking photos (family photos, graduation photos, the works...), but once we turned the corner to the massive field of flowers, it took my breath away. This place was fantastic to view tulips and experience the magic of being amongst a field of flowers, and we were so excited to have the opportunity to order bulbs to plant in our own garden from the varietals we saw in the gardens. Note: restroom facilities and food options are quite limited during peak season, so plan accordingly!
