5 Stars! Kevin is great at what he does. Knowledgeable, quick, clean and honest. I've had plenty of bad experiences being overcharged by past contractors. Not with Kevin. He is someone you can trust to do the job right and at a fair price. We had two submersed pool lights replaced (along with some necessary rewiring and hardware replacement), an outlet installed in a closet conversion, and a few other electrical related items taken care of. Everything done quick and professionally. I am fairly handy and can do most of these things myself. But needed a licensed professional to do the job right. Kevin is a true 5 star professional and individual! I called Kevin to check the work of another contractor that we hired to do a plumbing and sump pump repair and installation. These guys were not only overcharging us majorly but couldn't finish the job (they did a crappy job on everything else and were now stuck on the electrical part). We needed an electrician's professional opinion about the job. Kevin could have written us his observations as an electrical contractor and be done with the job. But instead, he went above and beyond what we asked of him and helped us deal with the pickled situation we were in for having hired "crook" contractors. He explained to us how true honest contractors work, helped us get the permit from the city and was present during the city inspector's visit to explain all that was wrong with the installation so now we have a chance to hire the right contractors to do the work we need. My husband contacted Kevin earlier this week to determine the cause of an open ground in several outlets of our house. Unfortunately, Kevin was swamped, and was unable to come and diagnose the problem, however he took the time to speak with my husband over the phone to troubleshoot what the cause might be. Kevin Hull is a total pro. I called a few electricians needing a fix asap. While others could not make it, most likely because it wasn't a very big job, Kevin was able to come by same day and help diagnose what turned out to be a very elusive burnt wire in one of our light switches. This was not an easy fix and required much patience to get to the root cause. I have to say many people may have passed the buck on this one and considered it not worth the effort. Kevin however stuck with it and even came back the next morning (Sunday) to finish the job since he knew we had a party the next day. Again this guy is a pro who seems to have the passion for the job that is so rare in any business. Kevin is honest and cares about people. It's not just about making money. I came home to a house where power was out for half the house. Certain rooms had power and others did not. I checked the outside panel and none of the circuit breakers tripped. I had no clue what's up. It was around 7pm when I called Kevin and he took a lot of time to explain the possible causes and mentioned it was likely due to SCE issue, which could include meter, transformer, etc. He even suggested checking with other neighbors to see if they experience the same thing. We did check with some neighbors and sure enough, it was SCE. Kevin did offer that if he could stop by right away to troubleshoot for us if we wanted to. It was reassuring that he was 1) immediately available if we needed him 2) he gave us some options that did not cost us a dime but cost him his time 3) I could just tell he was genuinely a nice and caring guy not just after my money. I didn't have to pay him for his advice but he is definitely on my speed dial if I should need an electrician. He is tops in my books. read more

Kevin IS as good as it gets! We called him on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. He called me back quickly, but someone else was already on the way. That guy charged us $200 and told us we needed a main breaker and he would come back once we ordered the breaker on line ($300) and would charge us another $300 to do the job. We decided to get another opinion and called Kevin back. He came right over and within minutes, showed us that it was NOT a main breaker problem, but a problem with a broken meter. We called Southern Edison and they came to replace our meter....NO CHARGE!! Kevin charged us $50 for a call and told us he would hold our check until we confirmed that he was correct in his diagnosis. If only Kevin were a doctor instead of an electrician, I would definitely want him as my doctor. Since he is an electrician, I am happy to be able to use him for future projects. The actual replacement part was not available at Home Depot and several other stores and he spent ours tracking one down. There are several sockets not working in the house, and I googled the best electrician in Agoura Hills, and Hull Electric came up, we gave him a call and we were lucky enough that he just finished a work nearby and is around the area. I was referred Hull electric from one of my friend and call him after reading the yelp reviews. Kevin and his helper Dan came to my house to work on 12 recess lights and three ceiling fans. Also he replaced 18 recessed light with LED recess and changed out two chandeliers. The work was very clean and accurate that he only have to make 2 holes in both family room and the downstairs bedroom. He also patched up all the holes after he was done with lights. I'm new to this area and had an someone else come out to find out why my lights in my entire house were flickering. After they looked into it they said they needed to replace the entire power panel. Didn't believe him, so I searched here on Yelp, found Hull Electric. Kevin came and I explained to him what the other guy said, after he started looking into it he tells me that the panel is fine. Long story short, we ended up having to call Edison out, Kevin called for us to explain the situation. Kevin went to get some replacement parts, installed the new parts and then called Edison for us again. Kevin stated that Edison has an issue on their line. Later that same night Edison came back out and sure enough Kevin was right, one of the cables that went to my house was completely out!! Edison had to re-splice some wires and now everything works!!
