Private parking lot, clean grounds, well maintained plants, great and helpful staff, easily to identify plants how where to plant them ie: full sun etc. A couple of drawbacks. Going on the weekends guarantees that they'll be busy meaning hard to find parking spot, hard to locate a cart, isles that are full and people stopping at every row to grab plants so expect backups. But what you'll gain by going on the weekends is so much more. We go every Mother's Day to start the planting season off and it's always packed. You learn patience real quick. But I find it relaxing to gaze at the pretty flowers and find new plants. This year I saw a Tabasco jalapeno and a pineapple tomato. Those had to go in the cart! Highly recommend, shopping local is always best, and it's easy to find and it's a great day for the entire family. I mean the kiddos love to sit or pull the carts.

They come to your home and discuss what you want and then draw the plan out for you to see. I also went to the nursery & garden center to pick out the bricks from their inventory. Even this late in the season, they had a great supply available. They even allowed me to bring a few bricks home with me to be sure of my color choice. The brick installation was very professionally done by experienced crew. They even created the curve that I wanted to soften the area from all straight lines. My goal was to create a place to have friends over to dine outdoors and to be able to enjoy the afternoon sun rays from my chaise lounge. I had several driftwood roses planted and a couple of Rose of Sharon bushes and 5 arborvitaes for my privacy hedge. The trees provided the privacy that I wanted, too. The crew was friendly, efficient & professional. I've had a lot of people stop by to say how much they love the work and how great it looks. I've lived in many different places in Fort Wayne and have had Galbraiths' design and install all my landscaping.

Joe said it would take a month to get these items, and I agreed. When a month passed with no update, I called his office and was told it would take another two weeks. After waiting again, I called to schedule delivery and found out neither piece had arrived nor was on its way from China. I heard many excuses, but I still gave Joe another three weeks. Today, when I called, I was told there was another issue, and it would be two or three more weeks. Feeling deceived, I asked for my money back. I was told Galbraith could only refund $185, not the $595 for the pagoda, because it was a special order, even though both items were "so-called" special orders, meaning they are not in the regular inventory. I ordered both from a catalog Joe gave me, but they would only refund the smaller amount. A staff member told me I would have to wait even longer for the pagoda, but could not say when it would arrive. I was treated as if I should shut up, go home, and wait. No one apologized. Instead, a woman came out of an office to shame me and blamed their importer. She acted as if I should just accept the situation. When I ordered the two statues, no one told me I could not get my money back or cancel the order. I never signed anything saying that. I want my money back. I am 80 years old and know Galbraiths has not been honest with me. I feel they think I am not sharp because of my age, but they are wrong. One staff member tried to intimidate me, but I made it clear I am neither senile nor stupid, even though she spoke to me in a condescending tone. I wanted to tell her she was being rude, but decided not to; she was too uneducated to know better. Whoever parented her did not teach her respect for older folk. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau and share my experience on social media to let others know how Galbraiths treats its customers, especially seniors. I will also file a small claim against them. I do not care about their problems with suppliers in China or shipping; that is not my responsibility, but they tried to make it mine. They refused to refund my money. I wonder if this nursery is having financial trouble since they will not refund me for a product I no longer want and have waited almost three months for. They have pagodas on display, but they are too small for my project. I am sure when my pagoda finally arrives, Mr. Joe can sell it in his nursery; he is a clever salesman. Galbraiths sells this type of art, so it is not really a special order. If it is, the long wait is their problem, not mine as the customer. I do not recommend Galbraith's Nursery.

Most recently I came in to find a birthday gift for a friend and order a Christmas centerpiece for my mother in law. I entered the shop and noticed there were a couple of ladies working. I was not greeted at all, no eye contact even. It was as if I wasn't there. I walked around the entire store hoping they'd make contact with me but for a half an hour, I got nothing. As I was walking through, one of the employees walked past me holding a box of some sort and as she walked behind me, she let her elbow rub along my back as if I was in her way. No excuse me, no I'm sorry. I didn't know what to think! I was so terribly disappointed by my visit that I don't think I will be back for some time if ever.

The arrangement was no where close to his order and The greeting did not have a sender's name. The arrangement is not appealing and more than likely a cheap substitute. The business was closed when I called to express my dissatisfaction. The attached card states a 24 hour guarantee. I emailed Broadview and the response was the guarantee was only for their customers And since my son went through Ava Florists, it didn't apply because Broadview has the right to substitute. They have taken advantage of out of area customers and filled the order to unload cheap plants on special occasions. Suffice it to say I will never be one of their customers and advise shoppers to be wary of this business and their guarantee.
