Cleaners / Alterations…read more As the name implies, they charge one price for dry cleaning and that price is substantially lower than the previous place I tried over on Port St Lucie blvd. In this last visit, I needed a pair of pants hemmed and they were able to accomplish the task with no fuss or dely. The time quoted for completion was when the pants were ready and the job was done exactly as requested. The price for a pair of pants to be hemmed was, unfortunately, high but that is also the norm everywhere you call for alterations. $16 in my case so just be aware that the cost to alter might be on par with the cost of a new pair of jeans ($22). In any case, I would use them again for cleaning and for alterations. Big, shared parking lot in front.

My husband was leaving for a trip overseas to visit his family. A cold climate there, so we…read morepurchased a beautiful Michael Kors coat for him. Sleeves were too long, so we took the coat to Claudia to shorten the sleeves. Here's what happened: The coat was not ready the day and time she promised. She told my husband to run an errand, and she would do it before he returned in half an hour. My husband was understanding and kind about her forgetting he was to pick up the finished coat that day. He returned, paid Claudia, took the coat and left. When he returned home, he took it out of the bag she had put it in and showed it to me (I can sew, but I don't have a machine to do coats--that's why we brought it to Claudia). Clearly Claudia shoved these thick, lined sleeves under the needle and TOPSTICHED the hems, ripping the lining. These hems were lumpy, bumpy, and destroyed the elegance of the coat. My husband's new coat was now unwearable. We had to take the coat to a high-level tailor to repair the mess Claudia gave us and then do the hems properly. That was successful, but it cost a good bit. We asked Claudia for our money back. First her Zelle wouldn't "load" she said. Then she assured us she'd mail a check. No check, no refund. We can never recoup the time we wasted on this, but ask yourself, "What professional seamstress/tailor does shoddy work and then refuses to refund the money customers paid her in good faith"? She did an awful job, forced us to find someone else to fix her work and then hem the sleeves properly, and then, excuse after excuse, a check that was not sent, and a Zelle that was not sent, we finally have a Zelle today, 2/18. Assuming the Zelle clears on Tuesday, we will be refunded the money we paid her--after weeks of emails, texts, and requests for our money back.

I called this store last week to inquire about consigning a wedding dress. I let the woman know…read morethat I had never consigned before and asked what I needed to do with the dress before bringing it. Under the impression that I had all the information I needed I got in the car and drive an hour to get there. Upon arrival I was met with a tattered store front, dirty carpet, a moldy smell and a barefooted toddler with green snot running down her face. The woman I spoke with in the phone was there to greet me and was accompanied by a woman who appeared to be homeless and kept interferering with the conversation I was trying to have. The woman who worked there (who never introduced herself) was very rude and tried to make fun of me for my dress being wrinkled. I reminded her of the conversation we had last week in which I asked what the requirements were for the dress. She acknowledged me and still tried to put me down for it being properly prepared. She was VERY rude. I have worked in hispitality for 20 years and I would never dream of treating someone the way she treated me. Awful. I will not be returning.
