So this is my 2nd time here at Human Reconstruction. The 1st time was to get Microneedling/PRP on my face. The results were amazing! I received so many compliments and interest in what I was doing. So my other ordeal ,I have been dealing with for a year & 1/2 now is my sprained ankle. It is very frustrating to still have to be going through this. I finally jumped ship and decided to do PRP my injured ankle. I recently had a corticosteroid injected into the area by a Podiatrist and had to wait 6 weeks before I could do the PRP treatment. Dr. Weitman is Amazing! He is passionate about therapy and the well being of his patients. I never feel rushed when I come in here. He will sit with you for 30 minutes or more answering questions, discussing different therapies that can help you get back to your optimal self. His front office secretary Meredith is very pleasant and insightful as well. The doctor cares and goes above and beyond to meet his patients needs. During The Visit he did a little bit of work on my ankle which included and incorporated massaging and pressure points. It was painful here & there but I know that it Will help me in the healing process. Come by and check this place out. They don't take insurance and not to undermind what your own PCP at your 10min appt is telling you "get xrays, CT scan, pain pills, PT or even surgery" there comes a time when you get fed up because it hasn't gotten any better, you gotta do your due diligence! read more

I would totally recommend prp therapy to anyone considering it. Dr Ryan is superbly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He makes you feel super comfortable the entire time and actually takes the time to listen to your concerns and explain the process. I was very pleased with my PRP microneedling procedure, which was done on May 2nd, and the results. Dr. Weitman was informative, congenial, and competent. And kind he was, despite my initial impatience/difficulty, which stemmed from my nervousness of an unknown experience. He set expectations every step of the way after our misunderstanding. This place is unprofessional. I bought a Groupon for their services. They were next to impossible to reach by phone. I was able to connect with the business via email and set an appointment. The day of my appointment I arrived 20 mins early only to be greeted with a post-it note stating they were out to lunch until 30 minutes past my appointment start time. I do not live in the area. I bought a groupon for 10 lipotronic injections, and bought 10 more at regular price with a 10% discount but I didn't bother using them all, I think I had a few left before I decided it wasn't worth the drive, because I knew I would either have to buy more or do something else before it really even made a little difference. The doctor was nice the first time I met him, after that I think he could have cared less since he knew he probably wasn't going to get any more money out of me. Granted he did explain that businesses are businesses to make money, and groupon is there to give a taste/promotion not to be used as a substitute for actual business which I agree with. The thing I didn't agree with is the generic advice he gave me the 1st time I saw him to lose weight. Yes I know I need to exercise and eat healthier but there is a thing called moderation and realistic standards. The "very generic diet advice" he gave me was to cut out all simple carbs, sugar, processed foods, dairy and eat mainly meat and vegetables. Yes, I probably would lose plenty of weight that way but there is a balance between looking good and feeling good and I knew I would have been miserable on that plan. 2nd there is no way that plan is feasible for me in the long-run, so I would probably gain all the weight back and 3rd I'm one of those people that when you tell me I can't have something I want more. The only people I know that probably would and do have a diet like that are total health nuts, their job is to look good (fitness/models) or people who need to set an example (like him: doctors). I didn't want to tell him he was off his rocker but telling me to cut out too much of (simple carbs- white rice!) is like telling the cookie monster to stop eating cookies. Granted I could have bought a consulting session where he went into more detail but from the "taste" got, I didn't want to pay for advice I probably wouldn't take. The other thing: Most of the receptionists were nice but one of them (the asian one) was a total bitch to me. Granted she might have just not liked me- because there is a certain kind of girl that doesn't like me, and I find incredibly superficial(and other things I won't mention) but when your dealing in a higher end service business you should be a bit more polite and act less like your too big for your britches. I understand that more in the fast food service industry or if she was younger but she was too old to being act like a snot-nosed brat. read more

I felt it was time I wrote a review - I was skeptical so I figured I would give it about a year. I am in my mid forties and was feeling it - I hurt every morning, my shoulder was not healing from surgery and all the VA could tell me was - it will never be 100% My joints ached and it was a constant battle to keep my weight in check even though I work out hard 5 days a week and watch what I eat within reason. My only bad habit is alcohol, and the fact I work shift work and nights (screwed up sleep pattern). My general practitioner, good DR, but his only comment was "your getting older", it is what happens...oh hell no..in my line of work I can't chalk it up to "your getting older". A year later, my joints don't ache, my shoulder is 100%, I am down from 222 to 208, and have only lost body fat, not muscle mass (my waist is down 4 inches, my neck 1), I can actually do shoulder presses, barbell presses and lateral raises again - all exercises I was unable to do because of my shoulder surgery. I feel healthier than I have in the last 15 years.. My only regret is that my insurance doesn't cover the procedures, supplements, etc..is it a bit pricey? It can be, but weighing the benefits vs how I felt...well worth it in my opinion. And for you ladies - his wife is a Dr as well so they have a men's health and a women's health side.. read more

Awesome experience! Becoming a patient at Human Reconstruction was the single best thing I've done for my health, both physically and mentally. I'm so thankful that I found this office - I'm finally on the right path to health! I'm getting B vitamin complex injections and I'm deathly afraid of needles...almost phobic! I'm SO lucky to have found someone as dedicated and understanding to his patients as Dr. Ryan. He is knowledgeable, put me at ease and I swear, it was like I never even felt the injection! Update... I've returned to Human Reconstruction for lipotronic injections and again, had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ryan. He sat and talked with me about what the injections will and will not do, and that ultimately weight loss will have to begin and end with life style changes. As far as the review by Christina B, what were you trying to achieve? A wonder shot that would melt your pounds away without cutting out the bad foods? Very unrealistic. I appreciated the discussion and time I had with Dr. Ryan and found it extremely motivating to do what I need to do to achieve my weight loss. The photo of Sylvia... "All that pain for nothing"? I am considering the same procedure you had, but I will be realistic in the fact that I will be swollen immediately after the procedure. Did you expect to leave looking ten years younger? Again, unrealistic. Posting a picture immediately after a procedure and stating that it was for "nothing" is just plain inconsiderate and slanderous. This is my first Yelp review as I've not typically had a strong enough opinion about a business to put the effort into one. I've also been unfamiliar with naturopathic medicine until recently, and so really didn't have a gauge to compare it to anything else I'd known. I first came to Dr. Weitman for weight loss assistance. I had tried everything: Weight Watchers, South Beach, Atkins, Keto, Jenny Craig, you name it.....and nothing worked for me. Either I disliked the food or I just wasn't getting the motivation I required. Dr. Weitman changed that. With his HCG program, I lost 30 pounds and I've kept most of it off to date. In addition to the HCG curbing my appetite, Dr. Weitman provided information about how the body works, and he put this information into layman's terms with the added bonus of candor and directive. This approach made sense to me and kept me on track. Recently, I've undergone both the PRP microneedling and injection procedures, both of which I've been very happy with. I opted to undergo these procedures because I take after my father who looks like Tommy Lee Jones. And while I'm a fan, this is not a good look for a woman. My skin looks awesome now. It's tighter and there's a glow there that wasn't there previously. Dr. Weitman is intelligent, direct and kind. So I called to make an appointment. They asked if I have been to the office before, i said no. Upon arrival, they asked again. Very strange I thought and the receptionist even said to me that I looked familiar. I on the other hand have never seen her before... and i thought by the time I got to my appointment on the phone, they would have checked their records. The doctor emphasized how inexpensive it would be for the PRP treatment after I've used my current groupon, even told me how expensive it would be in Beverly Hills. Much to my surprise I did not ask him for this information. I honestly did not see any difference in my face after the treatment, the whole procedure went by fast. I felt like either this procedure is a scam, or because I have used a discounted Groupon, he only did 20% of the procedure. This review is being published to hopefully protect others who may believe they can depend on Dr. Wdowin and entrust their health to her. Any challenge I had was compounded because she is often not available. So if you need a refill the other doctor there will not write the scrip which is completely ridiculous especially since she is off "teaching" or working other projects. But yet that is actually their office policy-- I could not get a prescription written or refilled unless she did it herself. I have never had such poor service. I felt as if I were fighting her to get her to prescribe my medication or to answer questions I had. Once I started taking just the right mix of supplements and medication (mostly found by me not by her) and started to have more energy, feel good, etc. it was as if she were actually trying to withhold the medication portion from me. At first I thought I was imagining it. But my family and I logged what was happening and they also came to the same conclusion. It was literally a struggle to keep the medication from running out and it often did. When she did write a prescription she screwed it up nearly every time. The pharmacy could not reach her to confirm what she was trying to prescribe because she of course was not in the office. Astoundingly she made the same mistake with the same prescription over and over. There was a short period of time while on the thyroid medicine from Canada that I had awesome energy. I felt healthy and vibrant and was able to accomplish so much. Then the medicine was getting low and she was out of the office-- this time on an extended vacation. Needless to say I did run out and it was awful. I could not function. You might wonder why I put up with this. Trust me I wanted to get another doctor but I couldn't take the time off of work to get set up with a new NP and also didn't have the money since I spent a fortune at HR. I feel so relieved to finally be receiving help from another Naturopath who really knows her stuff! She is excellent and is doing the opposite of what Dr. Wdowin did in almost every way and I feel so much better already! My new doctor pointed out why I feel better doing things differently. Now that I have that knowledge and insight I think even less of Dr. Wdowin. So much so that I feel as though I should file a complaint with the state of California. I think she is an absolute menace. I trusted her to have my health and best interests at heart and that was a huge mistake. If you want a doctor who plays games with your health and your livelihood, then she is the doctor for you. I will write a review of my new doctor (who I love!!!) once I've had time to make sure I feel better long term, etc. Because I've only been going to her about a month. read more

I also was not impressed with one of the doctors (Wdowin) and will not be returning. She seemed to contradict herself from one appointment to another and that was enough for me. When I came to Human Reconstruction around 2 years ago I was a complete mess. Trusting Dr. Wdowin (Dr. Heather) with my health is one of the best life decisions I have ever made. I've been Type 1 diabetic for 32 years, and many of those years were uncontrolled causing several complications. The complication that affected me most was a stomach condition that caused me to vomit nearly every day for 20 years. I'd been to several Western medicine Dr's, and none of them could fix it, they just kept putting me on different medications, most of which affected different areas of my health in a negative way. I have been to Dr. Heather Wdowin a few times now and have already seen good results with my thyroid treatment. I feel better than any main stream doctor has ever made me feel. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, I searched for a naturopath to advise me on alternative therapies to try in addition to what my allopathic doctors were recommending. Dr. Heather has been very supportive through this whole process. I trust her recommendations as my research has confirmed that what she has suggested is well supported in the alternative medical field. During my visits for Vitamin C IVs or other treatments, she has been available to talk to me at length about different approaches and my overall well-being (physical and emotional). Having a naturopath on my team has been invaluable as I navigate through the traditional recommendations for cancer treatment. Their services are not cheap, but the fees are comparable to what I have found elsewhere. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover most alternative therapies and the reality is that it is just expensive to go it on your own. In addition to seeing Dr. Heather, I have seen Dr. Ryan as well. Three members of my extended family have used colon hydrotherapy, IR Sauna, B12, B-Complex shots. We found Dr. Ryan Weitman, a well informed ND, who spends lot of time and effort trying to help his clients. Merideth is wonderful and friendly colon hydrotherapist, making detox experience as smooth as it can get. We are planning some IV drips for my wife, as we feel very confident with Dr. Ryan.
