This was my first Dexa Scan. The process was easy and fast. My Doctor has been encouraging me for the past year to have this done so we can start using data to tackle my health journey. I finally stopped procrastinating and got it done. When you first walk in you are greeted my the curated library that one could get lost in. Kristie was absolutely amazing. She made me feel comfortable and she takes the time to go over your results and make sure that you understand the results. Her professionalism and knowledge made her a joy to talk to you. I definitely plan on repeating this once a quarter. Once I saw the results and the data it was very motivating. I have a consistent workout routine and a pretty healthy diet. I really look forward to the scan and even bought 2 Groupon for body scan for me and my spouse. What happened is that there is no way that I could reach the place over the phone. I have called them at least 4 times over 2 weeks and left several voice messages with clear information of my phone, name, question about schedule appointments for the scans. They never replied and I have to request for refund from Groupon. It's a very disappointing experience. read more

Omg. Thank you, Kristie! This was such a great place! I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful it is! To make a long story short, I've had some significant injuries to my body over the last couple of years. In addition, I gained weight during Covid. I was a weight lifter and an athlete prior to my injuries. It has been so frustrating watching my body, literally get weaker and weaker. I'm finally to the point where I have lost some weight. A significant amount. However, due to injury, I also have lost a lot of muscle. Well, the number on the scale is certainly encouraging, I know that my body isn't nowhere near where it should be. I decided to get a body composition analysis so that I could get an accurate picture of exactly where things were. What a fantastic experience! It's a really cute place and the machine is state-of-the-art. The test is painless and takes less than 10 minutes. Once you are finished, you get instant results. Kristie sat down and discussed the entire report with me and answered all my questions. The report literally told me every thing I wanted to know today. In addition to a body composition percentage, I learned how much lean mass, fat, and visceral fat I have on my body. Further, the test also does bone density, so if that's a concern, you will get your questions answered for that as well. Because of this, I literally see a light at the end of the tunnel now. I know what my ideal weight is. I know what I need to do to get there. Now let me tell you what this ISN'T. This is NOT pseudoscience. There are so many people that want to take your money. There's so much crap out there that is not based in science. This is. It's the exact same machine and the exact same test that they are using in sports medicine at UC Davis. This is also NOT one of those things where were they try to upsell you on some kind of fitness program, supplements, coaching, nutrition classes, etc. You are buying a test. That's it. You can have another one when you want another one. No pressure. I am so thankful I did this. I really see a light at the end of the tunnel now. Ken was excellent with explaining my Dexascan results and suggesting a book to read to understand how to care for me health and fitness.

I live an hour away (round trip is 2 hours and 4 gallons of gas) and just like others on this yelp nobody was there at our scheduled time. I also lost wages due to taking time the morning off work. I called the answering service and they called the office. I was then texted that nobody was available to do my scan and was told they tried to call me but I had mistyped phone number. This is just not true as I had gotten both email and text confirmation (see below) If there was a typo and she didn't have my correct number to reach me she wouldn't be able to text me confirmations of my appointments. I was also in agreement that if I didn't show up I would be charged! I hope she plans on paying me what she would have charged me for a missed appointment. It will cover some of my gas. Finally, I said to myself oh well, mistakes happen. She said she was going to call me later to reschedule. Today is Wednesday and I never heard from her. I did the VO2 Max, RMR and DXA and the data and the app really help you get focused on your goals and help you achieve them. In just 90 daysI was able to transform my body dropping my body fat by ~9% and adding lean muscle. I used the Dexafit data Ken shared with me to target my cardio to stay in my fat burning zone and to adjust my calories based off the TDEE to create a calorie deficit to lose 2-2.5 lbs per week. Ken also shared that I was asymmetrical in my legs and said just do some extra reps on the left side. It worked and both legs have symmetry now. Went with my husband. It was really interesting to find out our body, fat percentages, and bone density. Interestingly, his BMI says he is obese and mine is in the normal range, but I have more body fat than him. He is muscular, so the BMI is not a good measure for him. This was my first time having a scan and it was a great experience. Kristie was very friendly and knowledgeable! I'd recently lost weight and started taking my workouts seriously, and just wanted to see how I was measuring up. My weight and clothing size were about where I thought they should be, but haven't been working out for that long. I was very pleased that the results of the scan showed my hard work has been paying off, and am motivated now to keep increasing my muscle mass! I plan on returning in a few months to check on my progress. Parking can be tricky. There are 2 dedicated spots in the alley, but some painter was working in the parking lot and took up both spots with his equipment the day I was there. Was told I could also park next door at Relles Florist, so that's what I ended up doing. Probably a good idea to notify them inside if that's where you park, as there are numerous "Customer Parking Only" signs everywhere and not a lot of spots. read more

Got a Groupon for a dexascan. Followed all the instructions on scheduling an appointment. Showed up 30 mins beforehand, they weren't open yet so I came back. Came back 15 mins beforehand as asked, and no one was here to answer the door. I called, left a voicemail and received a text response. I don't know whether to keep trying to contact them to reschedule or get my money back. I had my whole day revolved around this appointment since it's something I am interested in and take seriously. These things aren't cheap and this is very unprofessional for a company to do so. I do not recommended coming here as your appointment might be canceled with no notice. And after seeing the reviews I should of known. This place has a history of doing this to other customers as well. read more

This was my first DexaScan Appt. I have to be honest I was not impressed at all with this location or my experience. I purchased my DexaScan through a Groupon offer. First off, I know this place is in mid town and the old victorian houses are part of mid town's charm and this office is located in one of those type of houses but it stinks as soon as you walk in the door like an old musty, moldy smell. Not a vibe you would expect from a "medical type office". Second, (and this bugged me the most as a customer) due to this "office" being in a house there is no separation between the "dining room" where Kristie who works there reads you your results and the "living room" where the next customer is waiting for their appt. So she is literally going over your Dexascan results with you and everyone can hear If there's someone in the waiting room.I arrived early for my Appt and walked in on Kristie going over the results with the person before me and when she was going over mine there was a guy in the living room sitting hearing all of my information and her reading off my results. This is just unprofessional and against customer confidentiality in many ways. Third, I'm not sure if this was because my appt was purchased through Groupon but Kristie barely went over anything with me. I was in and out in less than 15 mins including the scan. She told the guy before me about an app he could download through Dexafit to track his results and all this extra stuff but told me none of this for my Appt. I felt like she was just trying to get me in and out which is unfortunate for her business because I would have been a return customer every quarter to measure my results and make sure my health is on track. I'm one of those people. Also the Dexascan pages they print out for you to take home do not show optimal levels of where you should be at. Kristie just briefly told me what they should be but now that I've taken them home and looked at them I have nothing that shows me where I should be at so I can make sure I stay within that range for the future. She wrote nothing down either nor did she offer me a pen to write down what she was discussing, etc. Finally, Kristie was conversational for the quick time that I did see her, like asking why I came in, explained how the Dexascan would work etc but I wouldn't say she took the time to go over specific things with me and was very short and skimmed over things when it came to my results. It definitely should have been longer than a 15 min appt and she should have told me like she did the customer before me about how I can measure my results through the app, etc. It just seemed like she wasnt interested in taking the time with me like she was with the other customer before me. I would know because unfortunately I heard their entire consultation while I was waiting for my appt like I mentioned above. Barely worth the $60 I paid through Groupon. They made their money though-basically $60 for a 15 min Appt. Definitely wouldn't pay $100 at full price with this place. Lack of privacy, lack of information, lack of customer service. I took my daughter and her boyfriend in and the 3 of us got Dexa scans .. we learned so much about our own bodies : it gave us our visceral fat numbers,(fat surrounding the organs) an accurate body fat % and our bone density. These guys were amazing!!!!!! They made me feel very comfortable while having my DexaFit scan completed. They took the time to explain how it works, what kind of information we would obtain, etc. once the scan was complete they sat down and explained the results in detail as well as offered suggestions on ways to work towards improvement in my future results. This testing went way beyond and out performed all other fat tests I've had done over the past 10 years.
