I just called this company to ask what can be done for the removal of duck eggs on my property. A man answered the phone and when I explained that I have a lake in the backyard and the duck has laid about 15 eggs in my front yard he told me to pick the eggs up and throw them in the lake. There was an awkward silence for about 5 seconds because I was flabbergasted. I said "excuse me? I don't think I heard you correctly." We unfortunately found a dead stray cat in the front yard, worst way ever to start the day! After calling Miami-Dade 311, I was told that since the animal was found in my front yard, and not on a side walk or road, it was going to be my responsibility to remove it. I honestly couldn't stomach the idea of removing the poor cat. I called a few services, but none of them could give me a guarantee that the cat would be removed same day. They were going to have to send out the job, and I would get a call back, and maybe their technician would come same day - depending on freelance work. What? I will be forever grateful to the kind individuals at Humane Animal Removal for their help and services in the aftermath of the death of my best friend, Cookie, after a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. She passed the day before I had scheduled a euthanasia appointment with a private pet hospice/euthanasia company. Since they had not actually euthanized her, their cremation services were no longer available to us. So, I called Humane Animal Removal, where I was immediately given the impression that the individuals running this business were true animal lovers. A kind man answered the phone and made me smile within the first couple of minutes of our conversation. He treated me with kindness and expressed sympathy for my and Cookie's situation, as well as explaining to me the realities of how it should be handled. I felt they would respect and honor her, just as she deserved and had always been treated with. He showed up just a couple of hours later, on a Sunday afternoon, when many other services were closed until the following day. It took me a long time to write this review because I just could not believe she was really gone. Until recently, when she was returned to me, along with an engraved wooden urn, as well as a beautiful poem and paw print. The presentation and contents were both thoughtful and beautiful, though I do plan to order her a custom urn I found on Etsy, from an artist who specializes in pet urns. For the past year or so, there has been a feral cat living in my backyard laundry shed. This cat has done an amazing job of keeping my yard rodent-free, and I was dismayed to find it dead when I went to do laundry this morning. I called Humane Animal Removal and spoke with Rob. He said the charge was $125 and he was in the area already. He arrived within 90 minutes and removed the cat from my backyard. $125 is steep but I could not bring myself to handle a dead and partially decomposing cat. Also, it's Miami, and there is not enough ground to dig a hole for a proper burial. As a HUGE animal lover that believes that ALL life is meaningful and significant, it was a relief to not have to put the cat into my trash can to be thrown away like something worthless. I called Rob first thing in the morning when I realized the vet could not make a house call to pick up my Golden Retriever who had passed about 6 am. My daughter had discovered the body and the get wanted to come at night. My daughter was so traumatized that she would not come downstairs. I was desperate. I was the Saturday before Father's Day, he was at my home within the hour. I am in Kendall and Rob is in Broward. Rob came with his son as this is a family owned business. My Golden was very large 113lbs. Much heavier after passing. I went to open the front door and the had already packed the dog and they carried him out. I was given a burial or cremation choice I decided to go with cremation. Cost was very affordable. To my surprise the box Scooby came in was engraved with his name. I was pleasantly surprised to get a paw print. It really made my daughter very happy. They also gave USA beautiful presentation and card. Rob was very gentle,kind and really turned a very sad situation into a very positive outcome. When They delivered the urn he greeted me and said Scooby is home. He personally delivered him and I said I said we were waiting for you. It just feels so good to have him m back. It is the kindness of this family business that I will always remember. We had found our precious dog on the road, ran over a few times. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and she gave me all the information over the phone. The man who does home pick ups came almost an hour late, but I can understand because they were coming from South Miami and I live closer to the Miami-Dade/Broward County Line. I was not present at the pick-up, the man gave my younger brother a receipt and nothing else. About a week later, I received my dog's ashes. I'm not too sure if the ashes I received were completely hers, because she weighs close to 20 pounds and I received about 6 ounces of her ashes. It was nice that they paid to have it delivered via mail USPS Express. I personally wouldn't trust USPS with any valuables especially my beloved dog's ashes. In the box I had her ashes and nothing else. I figured that they would send me her death certificate and more information later in the mail. I waited a few days before contacting them. I received nothing. Called on a Friday morning that I had not received any documentation. She promised it would be sent the next day by end of morning via e-mail. I waited a whole day and still nothing. Sent an e-mail to their general email address and received a response the same day asking for the information that I already provided on the initial phone call to them. They somehow had no record of my dog's info and she also advised me that the man was supposed to give me the certificate (he didn't give anything besides a receipt). Finally received the death certificate the next night. I would not consider them again for cremations for my pets. They provided no documentation of the crematory company, just gave a measly death certificate that could be curated online in seconds. They did have great customer service, but I felt like I could not trust them 90% with my dog. But since my dog was in FL, I couldn't find anyone else. Next time I will search much deeper to make sure I find a reputable company, not sure if they are. read more
