I've tried several places and Luchy and her team do an amazing job. This is the only place I feel my standard poodle is well groomed.

I have been with Luchy for some time now and my dog, my "life", comes out of her grooming shop looking beautiful. I have not had a negative experience in any way. I will say I want Luchy to be the person who grooms my dog, just Luchy. I believe she truly cares about the dogs and cats and her shop in my "second" home for my animals. read more

We cannot stress enough how important it is to have a quality groomer for your pups and Kute Kuts is honestly the best in town. Each member of their team takes their time with your pup and are dedicated to ensuring your pup has a positive grooming experience. We went through 6 groomers before heading to kute kutz. Mind you this was during peak covid times- we tried mobile groomers and other in the area but none were as dedicated as Lucy and her staff. They understand that every dog is different and cater to providing the best experience for pup and owner. We recommend them to everyone we met. They're the best in town! We recently learned that our childhood shih tzu would also get their hair cut there as well. Kute Kutz is a staple in South miami with being in business for several decades. I'm really thankful for Kute Kuts. I have an almost 4-year-old toy poodle who can be anxious, grouchy, and yappy. He has been groomed here for the past three years or so that I was in grad school, so I was often too poor/busy to get him groomed as frequently as I would have liked (anyone who has a poodle or similar breed knows how expensive it can get to groom your dog every six weeks!). The best part? I've never experienced any judgment from anyone I've met here. They don't make me feel bad that I have a difficult dog, and I really appreciate that. Also, they really cut his hair really well. This is one of three groomers my dog has been to in his life, and they do the best job of neatly shaving his face and sculpting his fluffy, un-docked tail (and clearing up his anal glands). Toby is usually tired for a day or two after a trip here, but I can tell that he was treated humanely. He never leaves upset or scared, and I've never found any nicks or cuts anywhere on him. The price is standard--$55 for my 11-pound dog. Worth it. I no longer live close to this location anymore, but I still schlep out here from the Grove because I can't imagine going anywhere else. Also, I used to wonder what tip was appropriate for grooming services, but I always leave 20% here because they really deserve it. You can tell they enjoy what they do, and take pride in their work. Having an anxious dog is tough. I tried multiple grooming spots, but my dog wouldn't budge. It was so bad to the point where other places wouldn't even touch him. Alas, my vet recommended Kute Kuts. She said they were good with aggressive dogs and that I shouldn't have a problem. When I went to pick him up, she said he wasn't even bad. While we have been Kute Kuts customers since 2000, we recently experienced a situation at this location that has left us quite upset - leading to a decision that we will never return to this location ever again. We took our dog yesterday to get his regular grooming and when we picked him up, the attendant showed us what she described as an infection on our dog's leg. She said it probably happened through an insect bite. The portion of his leg with the "supposed infection" was trimmed to the bare skin. It looked quite painful and we felt really bad we had not noticed before. She told us just to put Neosporin and bandage it up, not too worry about taking him to the vet. We found all of this a bit odd, but gave them the benefit of the doubt that indeed we had missed a potential insect bite and it had been getting infected. But we play with our dog daily and sure we would have seen him licking a wound. That being said, because we were concerned, we decided to play it safe and make a vet appointment and get it checked out. Here's where the WTF moment comes in. The vet examined it and ran all the test needed to conclude that it came from a hot clipper cutting into his bare skin. Yes, the groomer cut him - of course by mistake no doubt. But they cut him. They showed us numerous pictures of what hot clipper cuts look like and sure enough, this one looked exactly like it. There was no bite, whatsoever. Obviously, the vet has nothing to lose here, while the grooming service does. But all I would have liked would have been some honesty. We know mistakes happen. Just tell us and we can deal with it. But good god, to lie and make up a story right to our faces, and then further deny it after we confirmed it with the vet was utterly ridiculous. We are quite upset and saddened at the same time as we said above - we have been going to this particular groomer on and off since 2000. But this was deeply disturbing and raises a host of questions. What else has happened to our dog, or other people's dogs that their owners are clueless about? I figured I would share our disappointment here so others can be more careful. read more

Being new to the area and a golden doodle mom I was nervous about sending my pup to a new spot. Recommended by a friend, Kute Kuts did not disappoint. Last week I took my standard black golden doodle for a haircut and wash - Not only did She do an amazing job on the cut and wash with my dog. But they also listened to everything I said and sat down with me before to ask what I wanted with his cut. I would 10/10 recommend this establishment and will be returning!!!! read more

I've taken my dog three times now for grooming, the dog always scratches after, this does not happens in other grooming places, on the first time an ear infection appeared a few days later and when I ask them to please be careful with his ears and use cotton to protect them when doing the bath, they mentioned "it is impossible that it is was our fault" and they were not going to do the cotton on the ears as it was not their way of working. Thus I decided not to take my dog ever again, I strongly recommend to avoid using these services, there are several good grooming locations in the area. read more

My god, I called today and the amount of disrespect I received from this lady who picked up the phone . All I did was try to negotiate so that my husky can be groomed a little cheaper .. They were going to charge 80$ for a bath and brushing ?!?!
