My dog does have some anxiety, which I've always been upfront about, and I take steps to manage it responsibly. After returning to this groomer following a break, I was genuinely taken aback by the tone and attitude I was met with. K-Dee's communication came across as consistently negative, overly critical, and at times condescending. Instead of offering constructive feedback, her comments felt exaggerated and unnecessarily harsh, making the situation feel far more extreme than it actually was. At one point, she even told me it "wasn't smart" of me to bring my dog in the first time after giving her anxiety medication, which felt both inappropriate and unprofessional in how it was delivered. As a pet owner, I expect honest communication--but also professionalism, empathy, and respect. There is absolutely a way to discuss a dog's behavior in a calm and supportive manner without making a customer feel judged or unwelcome. Unfortunately, K-Dee's approach did the opposite and created an uncomfortable experience from the start. I was also told she could no longer see my dog, but I had already decided this would be our last visit due to how I was treated. Customer service and delivery matter just as much as the service itself, and that was clearly lacking here. I would recommend others consider how they want to be spoken to and treated before choosing this location.

We had tried many groomers before finding Jarbas and no one came even close to the care and attention this man gives each dog. Can he be expensive? Yes, but you get what you pay for and it's not cheap running a quality operation in Miami. Can he be rude? Totally, he's there to pamper your pets, not you. Our dogs were always so excited to go to Ipenema we ended up asking him to board them when we went on vacations, and he did. They loved him. My experience with Ipenema was long time ago (1995-2005). Just wanted to give some background and depth to Jarbas' business. The fact that he's still around in a fickle city like Miami after 30 years, speaks louder than any of these reviews can. He was very nice and personable, but told me I was a little far for him and he recommended me to someone else. After that person said I was too far. Ernesto agreed to come down on the weekend, which is totally understandable because Miami traffic is horrendous. He showed up exactly on time as promised. He was super nice and my dogs loved him. He groomed them wonderfully and they smell like a million bucks. I couldn't be happier that Ernesto agreed to groom my babies. He provided such exquisite care and genuine love for them.
